The non-linear dynamic behaviors of thermoelastic circular plate with varying thickness subjected to radially uniformly distributed follower forces are considered. Two coupled non-linear differential equations of motion for this problem are derived in terms of the transverse deflection and radial displacement component of the mid-plane of the plate. Using the Kantorovich averaging method, the differential equation of mode shape of the plate is derived, and the eigenvalue problem is solved by using shooting method. The eigencurves for frequencies and critical loads of the circular plate with unmovable simply supported edge and clamped edge are obtained. The effects of the variation of thickness and temperature on the frequencies and critical loads of the thermoelastic circular plate subjected to radially uniformly distributed follower forces are then discussed. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with the nonlinear vibration problems of circular plates with variable thickness.The nonlinear equations of plates with variable thickness are extended to the dynamic case.The resulting equations can be solved by using an iterative method,a Galerkin's approach and a perturbation method.Detailed solutions and numerical results are given for two kinds of boundary conditions,the clamped edge and the supported edge.The results show that the solutions for the case of the plates with uniform thickness can be included in the solution herin as a special case.The effect of various thickness parameters is investigated in detail.Also,a Runge Kutta method is used to solve the free and forced vibrations of plates with variable thickness,and the results are obtained firstly.It has shown that the adoption of variable thickness plate would be useful in engineering design. 展开更多

Circular plates with radially varying thickness, stiffness, and density are widely used for the structural optimization in engineering. The axisymmetric flexural free vibration of such plates, governed by coupled differential equations with variable coefficients by use of the Mindlin plate theory, is very difficult to be studied analytically. In this paper, a novel analytical method is proposed to reduce such governing equations for circular plates to a pair of uncoupled and easily solvable differential equations of the Sturm-Liouville type. There are two important parameters in the reduced equations. One describes the radial variations of the translational inertia and fiexural rigidity with the consideration of the effect of Poisson's ratio. The other reflects the comprehensive effect of the rotatory inertia and shear deformation. The Heun-type equations, recently well-known in physics, are introduced here to solve the flexural free vibration of circular plates analytically, and two basic differential formulae for the local Heun-type functions are discovered for the first time, which will be of great value in enriching the theory of Heun-type differential equations. 展开更多

The effect of Pasternak foundation and non-homogenity on the axisymmetric vibrations of polar orthotropic parabolically varying tapered circular plates has been analyzed on the basis of classical plate theory. Ritz method has been used to find the numerical solution of the specified problem. The efficiency of the Ritz method depends on the choice of basis function based upon deflection of polar orthotropic plates. The effects of different plate parameters viz. elastic foundation, non-homogeneity, taper parameter and that of orthotropy on fundamental, second and third mode of vibration have been studied for clamped and simply-supported boundary conditions. Mode shapes for specified plates have been drawn for both the boundary conditions. Convergence and comparison studies have been carried out for specified plates. 展开更多

针对弹性边界条件下变厚度圆板的自由振动问题,提出一种改进Fourier级数法来研究其振动特性。在沿圆板的边界均匀的设置弹簧以模拟弹性边界,包括横向位移弹簧和旋转约束弹簧。首先建立圆板的能量表达式,再通过瑞利-里兹法进行求解,把振... 针对弹性边界条件下变厚度圆板的自由振动问题,提出一种改进Fourier级数法来研究其振动特性。在沿圆板的边界均匀的设置弹簧以模拟弹性边界,包括横向位移弹簧和旋转约束弹簧。首先建立圆板的能量表达式,再通过瑞利-里兹法进行求解,把振动问题转化为矩阵特征值问题。数值仿真验证过程中当边界条件改变时,只需要改变仿真模型中的弹簧刚度系数就可改变系统的质量矩阵和刚度矩阵,得到其振动频率和模态等特性。数值结果表明,该方法简便合理,具有较好的推广价值。 展开更多

The present study deals with free vibration analysis of variable thickness viscoelastic circular plates made of heterogeneous materials and resting on two-parameter elastic foundations in addition to their edge conditions. It is assumed that the viscoelastic material properties vary in the transverse and radial directions simultaneously. The complex modulus approach is employed in conjunction with the elastic-viscoelastic correspondence principle to obtain the solution. The governing equations are solved by means of a power series solution. Finally, a sensitivity analysis including evaluation of effects of various edge conditions, thickness variations, coefficients of the elastic foundation, and material loss factor and heterogeneity on the natural frequencies and modal loss factors is accomplished. 展开更多

为解决超声珩齿振动系统的设计问题,将齿轮简化为厚环盘,基于变截面变幅杆纵向振动波动方程和中厚圆环板弯曲振动位移方程,根据中间有孔圆锥型变幅杆与中厚圆环组成的新型超声珩齿变幅器的非谐振性和边界条件,推导出了系统谐振频率方程... 为解决超声珩齿振动系统的设计问题,将齿轮简化为厚环盘,基于变截面变幅杆纵向振动波动方程和中厚圆环板弯曲振动位移方程,根据中间有孔圆锥型变幅杆与中厚圆环组成的新型超声珩齿变幅器的非谐振性和边界条件,推导出了系统谐振频率方程,利用数值计算分析了变幅器的几何参数对系统谐振频率的影响。通过有限元分析得出变幅器的谐振频率与理论计算结果基本一致。在此基础上,对设计的变幅器进行了动力学试验,测得的动力学参数与理论结果一致,其结果不仅证实了非谐振理论的正确性,而且为超声珩齿变幅器的设计和应用提供了理论依据。 展开更多

This paper deals with free vibration analysis of functionally graded thick circular plates resting on the Pasternak elastic foundation with edges elastically restrained against translation and rotation.Governing equations are obtained based on the first order shear deformation theory(FSDT) with the assumption that the mechanical properties of plate materials vary continuously in the thickness direction.A semi-analytical approach named differential transform method is adopted to transform the differential governing equations into algebraic recurrence equations.And eigenvalue equation for free vibration analysis is solved for arbitrary boundary conditions.Comparison between the obtained results and the results from analytical method confirms an excellent accuracy of the present approach.Afterwards,comprehensive studies on the FG plates rested on elastic foundation are presented.The effects of parameters,such as thickness-to-radius,material distribution,foundation stiffness parameters,different combinations of constraints at edges on the frequency,mode shape and modal stress are also investigated. 展开更多
