Synthesis and Crystal Structure of [Zn(HPDB)_2(H_2O)_2]n·2nDMSO·2nH_2O (H_2-PDB = Pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylic Acid)

The title complex [Zn（HPDB）2（H2O）2]n·2nDMSO·2nH2O（H2-PDB is pyridine-3, 4-dicarboxylic acid and DMSO the dimethyl sulphoxide） was synthesized under traditional solution condition. Its crystal （C18H28N2O14S2Zn） belongs to monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 8.2791 （6）, b = 12.5495（10）, c = 13.6519（ 11 ）A°, β = 105.294（2）°, V = 1368.18（18）A°^3, Z = 2, Mr = 625.91, Dx = 1.514 g/cm^3,μ = 1.117 mm^-1, F（000） = 648, R = 0.0654 and wR = 0.1654 for 2414 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. It has a 2-D planar network, in which the Zn atom is six-coordinated and hydrogen bonds between carboxylate groups, DMSO and water molecules result in the final 3D structure.

The Friedel-Crafts Acylation of Substituted Benzene with 2 - Phenylfuran-3, 4-dicarboxylic Acid Anhydride

2-Phenylfuran-3,4-dicarboxylic acid anhydride reacted with seven aromatic compounds, of which five gave keto acids in yields of 94%-63%. The structure of the keto acid was elucidated by reducing it to hydroxy acid and analyzing with NMR technique.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Fluorescent Property of a New One-dimensional Cadmium(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymer Based on 3,4-Thiophenedicarboxylic Acid and 1,10-Phenanthroline

A new cadmium（Ⅱ） polymer [Cd（tdc）（Phen）]n 1 （H2tdc = thiophene-3,4-dicar-boxylic acid, Phen = 1,10-phenanthroline） was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P , with a = 7.3150（10）, b = 10.3598（14）, c = 10.8784（15） , α = 82.2740（10）, β = 72.9730（10）, γ = 80.236（2）°, V = 773.68（18） 3, Z = 2, Mr = 462.74, Dc = 1.986 Mg/m3, μ = 1.58 mm-1, F（000） = 456, the final R = 0.0218 and wR = 0.0465 for 3361 observed reflections with Ⅰ 〉 2σ（Ⅰ）. The compound presents a one-dimensional （1-D） double-stranded structure and exhibits fluorescent emission at room temperature. Furthermore, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analysis and powder X-ray diffraction properties of the compound are also investigated.

Hydrothermal Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a New Three-dimensional Co(Ⅱ) Coordination Polymer Based on 2,3-Thiophenedicarboxylic Acid

A new Co（ll） polymer [Co（tdc）（l,4-bimb）]n 1 （H2tdc = thiophene-2,3-dicarboxy- lic acid, 1,4-bimb -- 1,4-bis（imidazol-1 ＇-yl）butane） was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 15.643（9）, b = 8.839（5）, c=12.952（7） A, β = 105.964（6）°, V= 1721.8（16） A3, Z = 4, Mr = 419.32, Dc= 1.618 Mg/m3,μ = 1.149 mm-1, F（000） = 860, the final R = 0.0243 and wR =0.0613 for 1460 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. The compound presents a three-dimensional （3D） network extended by both tdc2- anions and 1,4-bimb ligands in which the tdc2- anions employ a chelating coordination mode. From the topology point of view, the structure could be described as a 3D 4-connected 65.8 CdSO4-type net. Infrared spectroscopy, elemental analyses, thermogravimetric analysis and powder X-ray diffraction properties of 1 are also investigated.

Synthesis,Crystal Structure,Thermal Stability and Luminescent Properties of a New 2D Zinc Complex

A new coordination polymer associated with zinc ion,[Zn（Tda）（bpp）] n （1,H 2 tda=thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic acid,bpp=1,3-bis（4-pyridyl）propane）,was prepared under solvothermal conditions,and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,elemental analysis and IR spectra.The complex belongs to monoclinic,space group P2 1 /c with a=9.8799（4）,b=12.0430（6）,c=15.4269（9）,β=95.424（5） o,V=1827.33（16） 3,Z=4,D c=1.577 g/cm 3,S=1.074,μ=1.486 mm-1,F（000）=888,M r=433.80,R=0.0359 and wR=0.0968 for 2685 observed reflections （I 2σ（Ⅰ））.Complex 1 displays an interesting 2D lattice structure.In 1,four coordinated zinc ions were bridged by Tda and bpp ligands to generate a （4,4） two-dimensional layer.The thermogravimetric analysis,powder X-ray diffraction （XRD） and luminescent properties for 1 also have been explored.

A 4d-4f heterometallic coordination polymer: Synthesis, crystal structure and near-infrared luminescent properties

A 4d-4f heterometallic coordination polymer, [AgNd（pydc）2].2H2O （1） （H2pydc=pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylic acid）, was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, and fimher characterized by elemental analysis, IR, thermogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray dif- fraction. Complex 1 featured a three-dimensional （3D） framework containing one-dimensional （1D） channels occupied by free water molecules, which was constructed from 1D inorganic heterometallic chains and linear pydc linkers. To our knowledge, complex 1 represented a rare example of 3D open-framework 4d-4f heterometallic coordination polymer. After removal of the water molecules fi＇om complex 1, the remaining material had high thermal stability. Moreover, the near-infrared luminescent properties of 1 were also investigated in the solid state.
