Visual Programming of Stochastic Weather Generator and Future Applications on Agroecological Study

Based on former studies on weather simulator modules in IPMist laboratory, study on visual programming of stochastic weather generator(VS-WGEN)was continued. In this study, Markov Chain, Monte Carlo, Fourier Series, and weak stationary process were used to generate the daily weather data in software Matlab 6. 0, with the data input from 40 years' weather data recorded by Beijing Weather Station. The generated data includes daily maximum temperature, minimum temperature, precipitation and solar radiation. It has been verified that the weather data generated by the VS-WGEN were more accurate than that by the old WGEN, when twenty new model parameters were included. VS-WGEN has wide software applications, such as pest risk analysis, pest forecast and management. It can be implemented in hardware development as well, such as weather control in weather chamber and greenhouse for researches on ecological adaptation of crop varieties to a given location over time and space. Overall, VS-WGEN is a very useful tool for studies on theoretical and applied ecology.

A SEQUENTIAL TESTING PROGRAM FOR PREDICTING AND IDENTIFICATING CARCINOGENS AND ITS APPLICATION

In this paper our studies about the sequential testing program for predicting and identificating carcinogens, sequential discriminant method and cost- effectiveness analysis are summarized. The analysis of our database of carcinogeniclty and genotoxicity of chemicals demonstrates the uncertainty . of short- term tests ( STTs ) to predict carcinogens and the results of most routine STTs are statistically dependent. We recommend the sequential testing program combining STTs and carclnogenicity assay, the optimal STT batteries, the rules of the sequential discrimination and the preferal choices of STTs tor specific chemical class. For illustrative pmposes the carclnogenicity prediction of several sample chamicals is presented. The results of cost-effectiveness analysis suggest that this program has vast social-economic effectiveness.

The application of APP （application programs） in college English listening teaching

Chinese college students have some drawbacks in English learning and mastering. Through a dozen years of English learning, some of them have high ability of passing examinations, but the practical application ability is barely satisfactory with relatively poor listening level and oral expression ability. The objective cause for this situation is the relatively single and stylization English teaching model used by traditional colleges and universities. This model only emphasizes learning on class which greatly harms students＇ English learning enthusiasm and initiatives. The result is that although the students passed CET4 and CET6 long time before their graduation, they still not dare to open their mouth to speaking concerning face to face English communications. Over the years, the researches on how to improve college students＇ English application ability never stop and they did obtain some achievements and show some opportunities, for example, if we can bring APP （application programs） into college English listening class, it will largely meet students requirements on English learning and this can also replenish and perfect traditional English teaching model.

Online and Offline Android Based Mobile Application for Mapping Health Facilities Using Google Map API. Case Study: Tanzania and Kenya Borders

The evolution of technology in 1990s resulted in the enormous growth of smartphones and the propagation of mobile applications (App) that marked new opportunities for healthcare centers and medical education. Apps have altered health services from patient’s health monitoring to specialist’s appointments and consultations from specialized health facilities. It can be argued that a healthy society can bring forth sustainable economic development to its full potential while an unhealthy society cannot. However, a free movement of people, labour and right to residence which was built across East Africa (EA) borders enabled Tanzania and Kenya borders to have enormous interactions. Subsequently, increase the risk of highly communicable diseases such as Tuberculosis and Sexually transmitted infections in such a way that medical attention is unavoidable along the borders. Statistically, Android Operating System (OS) owns 83% of Africa’s mobile OS market. In addition, 25,794,560 internet users reported by Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA) together with the 22.86 million internet users provided by Kenya Digital which is equivalent to 46% and 43% of internet penetration in year 2020, disclose the need for Android mobile application for mapping health facilities both online and offline using Google map API, which will solve residents’ need to healthcare services on the presence or shortage of internet connections;using either Swahili or English language via Smartphone devices. The App incorporates Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) tool for tracking application usage which will ease Admin’s task to generate daily and monthly reports in Excel and Comma-Separated Values (CSV) formats. The developed system received positive feedback from EA citizens and residents in the Arusha region and Namanga border crossing where 90.2% of the system evaluation conducted between Dec 2020 and Apr 2021 agreed upon App usage.

Web Application Comprehension Based on Dependence Analysis

Many research indicate a lot of money and time are spent on maintaining and modifying program delivered. So the policies to support program comprehension are very important. Program comprehension is a crucial and difficult task. Insufficient design, illogical code structure, short documents will enhance the comprehensive difficulty. Developing Web application is usually a process with quick implementation and delivery. In addition, generally a Web application is coded by combining mark language statements with some embedded applets. Such programming mode affects comprehension of Web applications disadvantageously. This paper proposes a method to improving understanding Web by dependence analysis and slice technology. A Two-folded Impact Analysis of Schema Changes on Database Applications

Database applications are becoming increasingly popular, mainly due to the advanced data management facilities that the underlying database management system offers compared against traditional legacy software applications. The interaction, however, of such applications with the database system introduces a number of issues, among which, this paper addresses the impact analysis of the changes performed at the database schema level. Our motivation is to provide the software engineers of database applications with automated methods that facilitate major maintenance tasks, such as source code corrections and regression testing, which should be triggered by the occurrence of such changes. The presented impact analysis is thus two-folded： the impact is analysed in terms of both the affected source code statements and the affected test suites concerning the testing of these applications. To achieve the former objective, a program slicing technique is employed, which is based on an extended version of the program dependency graph. The latter objective requires the analysis of test suites generated for database applications, which is accomplished by employing testing techniques tailored for this type of applications. Utilising both the slicing and the testing techniques enhances program comprehension of database applications, while also supporting the development of a number of practical metrics regarding their maintainability against schema changes. To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the presented techniques and metrics, a software tool, called DATA, has been implemented. The experimental results from its usage on the TPC-C case study are reported and analysed.

Education Training Improvement of Built Environment and Energy Application Engineering in Line with the ABET Criteria

Built Environment and Energy Application Engineering(BEEAE),namely Heating,Ventilating,Air Conditioning and Refrigerating(HVAC&R),is one of the international accreditation programs.Its knowledge system of professional theory and professional education in accredited engineering academic programs must meet the requirements of the relevant international engineering certification.In view of professional engineers and technicians training of BEEAE,the professional training programs and the knowledge system are compared and explored in line with the international certification criteria.This study compares the items and requirements of different international certification criteria,and summarizes the experienced methods of education training.The undergraduate education and training programs are then improved in accordance with the requirements from international certification criteria.The BEEAE education training schemes should combine the knowledge system of the national professional guidance standards with the items from international certification criteria.

Application of PIMS Software in Monthly Planning of Refinery Production

This article describes the application of the PIMS software in formulating monthly refining production plan. Application of the PIMS software can help to solve a series of problems related with monthly plan of refining production such as optimized selection of crude and feedstocks, optimized selection of production scale and processing scheme, identification of bottlenecks and their mitigation,optimized selection of turnaround time and optimized selection of operating regime, which have increased the economic benefits of refining enterprises. With the further development and improvement of models the PIMS software will play an increasingly important role in formulating monthly plans of refining operations and production management at refineries. This article also explores the problems existing in refinery monthly planning, and has made recommendations on developing and improving models and reporting system, enhancement of basic data acquisition, model maintenance personnel and staff training.

Setup and application of a structural seismic hybrid simulation system on local area network

To implement structural hybrid simulation independent of the control system of any testing equipment in civil engineering, an external command control approach is put forward. Several setup technologies and the corresponding API approaches are investigated to simultaneously combine numerical simulation with physical testing. Hybrid program technology is put forward and described in detail, using Visual C++ program to effectively and accurately control testing equipment and MATLAB program to implement numerical simulation with easy extension. The control program of testing equipment and numerical simulation program are integrated by calling MATLAB engine in Visual C++. A hybrid simulation about a full-scale six-story masonry structure is carried out. The testing results manifest that the external command control approach has the versatility because of simple hardware connection and control program independent on control software of testing equipment; powerful program function of Visual C++ and flexible program of MATLAB are integrated by hybrid program technology; hybrid simulation system provides a realistic and cost-effective testing platform that enables earthquake engineer researchers to accurately and efficiently capture the seismic performance of large or complex structures without having to carry out physical testing of the entire structure.

A CONFERENCE CONTROL MODEL BETWEEN A WEB SERVER AND A TELECOM APPLICATION SERVER

The paper proposes a conference control model between a web server and a telecom application server,referred to as the Conference Directed Graph(CDG) ,and describes an asynchronous communication mechanism between them. The Corba Interface Definition Language(IDL) interfaces are defined,and a message sequence chart is illustrated. This web conference control model provides conference users with a new approach to manage and control a conference and the participants. The performance of the system prototype is analyzed and verified in the 863 project named "The Multi-media and Mobile Services Enabled Soft-switch System".

An Efficient Non-Linear Application Algorithm Predictive Model for a Multi Aircraft Landing Dynamic System <i>AIRLADYS R</i>2019<i>A</i>⁺

The aim of this paper is to set up an efficient nonlinear application algorithm predictive model for a multi aircraft landing dynamic system called “Aircraft Landing Dynamic System, Release 2019A+ version “AIRLADYS R2019A+”. This programming software combines dynamic programming technic for mathematical computing and optimisation run under AMPL and KNITRO Solver. It uses also a descriptive programming technic for software design. The user interfaces designed in Glade are saved as XML, and by using the GtkBuilder GTK+ object these can be loaded by applications dynamically as needed. By using GtkBuilder, Glade XML files can be used in numerous programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, Perl, Python, AMPL, etc. Glade is Free Software released under the GNU GPL License. By these tools, the solved problem is a mathematical modelization problem as a non-convex optimal control governed by ordinary non-linear differential equations. The dynamic programming technic is applied because it is a sufficiently high order and it does not require computation of the partial derivatives of the aircraft dynamic. This application will be coded with Linux system on 64 bit operating system, but it can also be run on the windows system. High running performances are obtained with results giving feasible trajectories with a robust optimizing of the objective function.

Recovery after ischemic stroke:Effects of FuekFone home-based program on upper limb and cognitive function

Objectives:This study aimed to explore the effects of the“FuekFone(F.F.)home-based program”on the upper limb and cognitive function of ischemic stroke patients after discharge.Methods:A single group pre-and post-test design was conducted.A total of 40 patients with recovery after ischemic stroke were recruited from two university hospitals in Thailand.The study was conducted between June 2022 and January 2023.Participants underwent a six-week“F.F.home-based program,”which combined an upper limb and cognitive function rehabilitation device with Android games,including stationary barrel,adventure walk,adventure stroll,sliding barrel,sauce squeeze,and cut objects.Each game has different difficulty levels.Patients can perform corresponding exercises through the games according to their conditions under the guidance of medical staff.The patients played for 24 min per time,4 min each game,three days a week.The second week,let the patients play games for 30 min per time,5 min each game,3 days a week.Then,in the 3e6 weeks,let the patients play games for 1 h per time,10 min each game,5 days a week.At the pre-and post-intervention,the Thai version of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),the Motor Assessment Scale,and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA score)were administered to patients at discharge and at 2,4,and 6 weeksafter discharge,and the results were compared.Results:All participants completed this program.Participants had statistically improved upper limb function(upper arm function score,hand movements score,advanced hand activities score,total Motor Assessment Scale score)and MoCA score at 2,4,and 6 weeks after discharge(P<0.001).In the comparison of upper limb function and cognitive function at each of the study times,we found statistically improved upper limb function(upper arm function score,hand movements score,advanced hand activities score,total Motor Assessment Scale score)and MoCA score at 4,and 6 weeks after discharge when compared to after discharge and 2 weeks after discharge,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusions:Continuing care of patients post-stroke after discharge from hospital,such as F.F.homebased program should be applied at home to enhance upper limb and cognitive function.

Two Singapore public healthcare AI applications for national screening programs and other examples

This article explains how two AI systems have been incorporated into the everyday operations of two Singapore public healthcare nation‐wide screening programs.The first example is embedded within the setting of a national level population health screening program for diabetes related eye diseases,targeting the rapidly increasing number of adults in the country with diabetes.In the second example,the AI assisted screening is done shortly after a person is admitted to one of the public hospitals to identify which inpatients—especially which elderly patients with complex conditions—have a high risk of being readmitted as an inpatient multiple times in the months following discharge.Ways in which healthcare needs and the clinical operations context influenced the approach to designing or deploying the AI systems are highlighted,illustrating the multiplicity of factors that shape the requirements for successful large‐scale deployments of AI systems that are deeply embedded within clinical workflows.In the first example,the choice was made to use the system in a semi‐automated(vs.fully automated)mode as this was assessed to be more cost‐effective,though still offering substantial productivity improvement.In the second example,machine learning algorithm design and model execution trade-offs were made that prioritized key aspects of patient engagement and inclusion over higher levels of predictive accuracy.The article concludes with several lessons learned related to deploying AI systems within healthcare settings,and also lists several other AI efforts already in deployment and in the pipeline for Singapore's public healthcare system.

Program design of STL machine graphics realistic system

This topic is based on AutoCAD graphic input environment. It takes the STL format graphic files as the data exchange interface to do the research of STL interactive 3D realistic graphics displaying content. Through the analysis of the STL file format, in VC＋＋6.0 programming environment, class if stream in the standard IO library was used for object class definition. And get line functions in the string class were called to read and bind STL file line by line. In data processing module, draw triangles in OpenGL programming technology was applied to realize the visual display of the STL graphics, with the corresponding 3D entity data generated. OpenGL graphics processing technologies were applied to display 3D graphics from STL files input or realistic program module, which contain the graphic transformation, light, materials, et al. Test reports were shared based on the test of the application system. Finally the program design of STL graphics realistic display system was completed based on research work, which has certain theoretical and practical significance in the aspect of engineering application.

大数据管理与应用本科专业学位教育发展状况调查报告(2023)

[目的/意义]开展全国大数据管理与应用专业本科教育的发展状况调查研究,以期反映其发展趋势并提出相应的建议。[研究设计/方法]以开设院校、师资、招生、就业、课程体系和培养目标为六大维度,系统地剖析了我国大数据管理与应用本科教育的现状,并通过与往年数据的比较反映该专业的发展态势。[结论/发现]截至2022年12月,该专业的培养单位数量达到183所。大多数培养单位针对社会需求和自身定位调整其教学,在注重专业实践性的同时,逐步形成自身特色。大多数培养单位的课程体系和培养目标不完全匹配,需要增加对大数据管理和大数据应用方面的课程。[创新/价值]通过全国范围内大数据管理与应用本科专业全面调查和深入分析,反映该专业当前发展现状和存在问题,为此类专业持续发展提供有价值的参考。
