Methodology: A comprehensive literature review was conducted, selecting eighty-eight articles published over the past fifteen years. The study assessed data gathering and storage practices, regulatory adherence, legal structures, consent procedures, user education, and strategies to mitigate risks. Results: The findings reveal significant advancements in technologies designed to safeguard privacy and facilitate the widespread use of mHealth apps. This study explored user satisfaction with mobile payments by applying a novel structural topic model.Specifically,we collected 17,927 online reviews of a specific mobile payment(i.e.,PayPal).Then,we employed a structural topic model to investigate the relationship between the attributes extracted from online reviews and user satisfaction with mobile payment.Consequently,we discovered that“lack of reliability”and“poor customer service”tend to appear in negative reviews.Whereas,the terms“convenience,”“user-friendly interface,”“simple process,”and“secure system”tend to appear in positive reviews.On the basis of information system success theory,we categorized the topics“convenience,”“user-friendly interface,”and“simple process,”as system quality.In addition,“poor customer service”was categorized as service quality.Furthermore,based on the previous studies of trust and security,“lack of reliability”and“secure system”were categorized as trust and security,respectively.These outcomes indicate that users are satisfied when they perceive that system quality and security of specific mobile payments are great.On the contrary,users are dissatisfied when they feel that service quality and reliability of specific mobile payments is lacking.Overall,our research implies that a novel structural topic model is an effective method to explore mobile payment user experience. 展开更多

The goal of this paper is to spot out factors affecting the intention to use mobile payment service plan in Vietnam. This study attempts to analyze the impact of various variables extracted from mobility, convenience, compatibility, M-payment knowledge, ease to use, usefulness, risk,, trust, and safe to use on intention to use mobile payment. Quantitative questionnaire is used to measure responses of participants. The statistical analysis method employed in this study is to apply Structural Equation Modeling to test all hypotheses. The results indicate that the strong predictors of the intention to use M-payment are perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. All respondents show that they do not care about risk when they have intention to use mobile payment services. Convenience of mobility, compatibility, and mobile payment knowledge have impacts on ease to use and usefulness. Among of them, compatibility has the most significant impact o11 ease to use and usefulness in the opinion of those surveyed. Specially, it proved that trust of safe to use has no significant impact on usefulness, but instead has direct impact on intension to use mobile payment services. The outcomes of this research have important connotations for the improvement and development of mobile payment services in Vietnam. Therefore, at the end of this paper, some suggestions based on research results are given for the future development of mobile payment service business in Vietnam. 展开更多

This kind of transactions is preferred to be executed conveniently and on the fly by just tapping a mobile payment device to a mobile terminal. Mobility, convenience and fast transaction execution are very important payment system properties in potentially crowded places such as in public transportation. These properties are in practice causing transaction execution problems, such as: delays in offline transaction execution, transaction atomicity failures caused by mobile data communication drops, lack of central control on mobile transaction system components and increased vulnerability risk caused by easy physical access to the mobile transaction system components. This paper describes a holistic transaction processing model for resolving mentioned problems in micropayment mobile touch-and-go transaction systems. Defined processing model was implemented on real public transportation mobile payment system where it was proven as a robust solution for execution of small value touch-and-go mobile ticketing transactions. 展开更多

Operational risk assessment of third-party payment platforms:a case study of China 被引量:1

Operational risk events have severely impacted the development of third-party payment(TPP)platforms,and have even led to a discussion on the operational risk capital charge settlement by relevant international regulators.However,prior studies have mostly focused on qualitative mechanism analysis,and have rarely examined quantitative risk assessment based on actual operational risk events.Therefore,this study attempts to assess the operational risk on TPP platforms in China by constructing a systematic framework incorporating database construction and risk modeling.First,the operational risk database that covers 202 events between Q1,2014,and Q2,2020 is constructed.Then,specific causes are clarified,and the characteristics are analyzed from both the trend and loss severity perspectives.Finally,the piecewise-defined severity distribution based-Loss Distribution Approach(PSD-LDA)with double truncation is utilized to assess the operational risk.Two main conclusions are drawn from the empirical analysis.First,legal risk and external fraud risk are the two main causes of operational risk.Second,the yearly Value at Risk and Expected Shortfall are 724.46 million yuan and 1081.98 million yuan under the 99.9%significance level,respectively.Our results are beneficial for both TPP platform operators and regulators in managing and controlling operational risk. 展开更多

China's Mainland has witnessed remarkable achievements in payment innovations based on internet and financial technologies in recent years,whereas Macao has made little progress in financial technologies,especially in payment technologies.Based on the concept and types of third-party payment business in China's Mainland and Macao,as well as to investigate the causes for Macao’s lack of innovation in third-party payment,this study compares their differences from two aspects:business licensing authorities and key points of supervision.By comparison,although the classification and methods of third-party payment businesses are different between China's Mainland and Macao,they are all managed and licensed by a unified supervision department.Moreover,the key points of supervision in both places are similar,but unlike China's Mainland,which takes financial risk prevention as the principle and financial technology as the means to encourage innovation,Macao showed obvious deficiencies.In order to further deepen the connection between the financial markets of China's Mainland and Macao as well as boost financial technologies in Macao,this study aims to provide some suggestions and references for the development of cross-border payment systems. 展开更多

This study investigates how financial literacy and behavioral traits affect the adoption of electronic payment(ePayment)services in Japan.We construct a financial literacy index using a representative sample of 25,000 individuals from the Bank of Japan’s 2019 Financial Literacy Survey.We then analyze the relationship between this index and the extensive and intensive usage of two types of payment services:electronic money(e-money)and mobile payment apps.Using an instrumental variable approach,we find that higher financial literacy is positively associated with a higher likelihood of adopting ePayment services.The empirical results suggest that individuals with higher financial literacy use payment services more frequently.We also find that risk-averse people are less likely to adopt and use ePayment services,whereas people with herd behavior tend to adopt and use ePayment services more.Our empirical results also suggest that the effects of financial literacy on the adoption and use of ePayment differ among people with different behavioral traits. 展开更多

居民消费对实现共同富裕以及推动经济长期稳定发展具有重要意义。以往研究主要关注城乡居民消费差距,较少关注农户内部消费不平等问题。鉴于此,基于2017、2019年中国家庭金融调查数据,采用由农户人均消费支出测算的Kakwani指数构建消费... 居民消费对实现共同富裕以及推动经济长期稳定发展具有重要意义。以往研究主要关注城乡居民消费差距,较少关注农户内部消费不平等问题。鉴于此,基于2017、2019年中国家庭金融调查数据,采用由农户人均消费支出测算的Kakwani指数构建消费不平等测度指标,使用双向固定效应模型和工具变量法实证分析数字支付对农户消费不平等的影响。研究结果表明,数字支付能够显著降低农户消费不平等;机制分析表明,数字支付通过缓解流动性约束和提高消费可及性,进而降低农户消费不平等;异质性分析表明,数字支付对户主年龄更高、受教育水平更低农户消费不平等的缓解作用更大,对发展型消费不平等的缓解作用大于生存型消费。基于此,本文认为应加大对农村数字支付发展的支持力度,推动农村数字普惠金融发展,提升农村居民数字素养,支持农村发展型消费品产业发展。 展开更多

近年来,中央银行数字货币(CBDC)受到全球多个国家和地区的高度关注.双离线交易作为CBDC的可选属性,在无网络连接的情况下进行支付,被认为具有较大的实用价值.面向CBDC的双离线匿名支付场景,基于可信执行环境(TEE)和安全单元(SE)技术,提... 近年来,中央银行数字货币(CBDC)受到全球多个国家和地区的高度关注.双离线交易作为CBDC的可选属性,在无网络连接的情况下进行支付,被认为具有较大的实用价值.面向CBDC的双离线匿名支付场景,基于可信执行环境(TEE)和安全单元(SE)技术,提出了一种专为移动平台设计的高效双离线匿名支付方案(dual offline anonymous E-payment for mobile devices,OAPM).OAPM适用于资源受限的移动设备,允许移动付款者在不联网状态下安全地向收款者支付数字货币,且不向收款者及商业银行泄露个人隐私信息,付款者的支付行为也不会被链接,同时允许收款者设备处于离线状态,监管机构(如中央银行)在必要情况下能够识别匿名付款者的真实身份.该方案满足数字货币交易的多项重要属性,包括正确性、不可链接性、可追踪性、不可陷害性、机密性、真实性、防双花性以及可控匿名性等.实现了原型系统,并对可能的参数进行了评估.安全性分析和实验结果表明,该方案从安全性和效率两方面均能满足移动用户CBDC双离线交易的实际需求. 展开更多
