This paper aims to explore how a veteran teacher organizes online teaching initiated by the pandemic and how she deals with the problems in online teacher-student verbal interaction.By analyzing a corpus of 20 audio-recorded online lessons between a math teacher and her students during the COVID-19 pandemic from April 11 to May 10,2022,four interactional segments are selected as the focus of the study.The results of the conversation analysis of the segments showed that students’modesty,lack of confidence,lack of ability,and network delay are the main factors affecting online teacher-student interaction.By encouraging students to answer questions,enlightening students to give answers,enriching students’answers,and entertaining the teaching atmosphere(“4Es”strategies),the teacher solved the problems successfully.The findings from this study can provide pedagogical experience and implications for practical teaching. 展开更多

Taking aim at this development trend advocated by Chinese higher education department,the researchers specially selected 7 samples in all levels Chinese higher universities and colleges, to deeply analyze the effects of MOOCs in the teaching of Sino-foreign cooperative design major by using various methods such as tracking investigation, questionnaire and interview, statistical comparison and so on. The paper not only systematically elaborates MOOCs advantages through combining the features of Sino-foreign cooperative design major,but also reveals and highlights its potential drawbacks and shortcomings, and simultaneously puts forward the corresponding improvement measures. The foundation of any teaching program should be the needs of the students.A syllabus can be successful only if it meets the needs of the particular group of students for whom it is intended.However,close needs analysis has been absent in some English classes.The present study aimed to solve the problem of the possible mismatch between English learners and teachers especially in the intensive English training class.To identify the English students' needs in an intensive English training class,the questionnaires designed by the researcher were administered to the students.It was found that the English teaching would be based on real communication.Finally,the tentative syllabus was designed for English teaching based on the result of the need analysis. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the effect of CBL(case-based learning)combined with case analysis in the teaching of clinical anesthesia.Methods:From June 2018 to June 2020,a total of 100 clinical anesthesia interns in Shaanxi Provincial People’s Hospital were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups,the reference group(50 interns)and the study group(50 interns),by random sampling method.The reference group was under the traditional teaching method,whereas for the study group,CBL combined with case analysis was implemented.The teaching satisfaction and achievement of the interns in both the groups were evaluated.Results:The teaching satisfaction of the study group was 98%,which was significantly higher than that of the reference group(86%)(P<0.05);before teaching,there was no significant difference in the theoretical and clinical practice scores between the two groups(P>0.05);however,after teaching,the theoretical and clinical practice scores of the two groups increased significantly,in which the change of the research group was significantly greater than that of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of CBL combined with case analysis in the teaching of clinical anesthesia has an ideal effect,improving the teaching satisfaction and achievement.It is a high-quality teaching method and is worthy of application. 展开更多
