Through the field investigation of a typical ancient town in west Sichuan,Huanglongxi Town in Shuangliu County of Chengdu City,Fengshui orientations,characteristics of folk dwellings,the Hakkas buildings and stilt-bui...Through the field investigation of a typical ancient town in west Sichuan,Huanglongxi Town in Shuangliu County of Chengdu City,Fengshui orientations,characteristics of folk dwellings,the Hakkas buildings and stilt-building culture in the study area were analyzed from the perspectives of geographical location,overall layout and residential culture.The representative layouts of ancient Fengshui doctrines were stressed,such as "carrying the yin at its back and the yang in front,backing on mountains and facing water","four gods at four directions"(Azure Dragon in the left,White Tiger in the right,Black Tortoise at back and Vermilion Bird in front).Moreover,primitive architectural style and rhythm of the continuous rows of buildings,"seven streets and nine lanes",and overhanging eaves in the ancient Huanglongxi Town were demonstrated.The study is of great referential value for researches on architectural landscapes of ancient towns in west Sichuan,and modern architectural landscape designs.展开更多

Based on various modeling tools in 3DS MAX and original DEM data of the study area acquired from topographic map, real three-dimensional terrain model is generated by using the method of three-dimensional mesh approximation through DEM interpolating and surface modeling, which leads to the realization of the dynamic visualization and simulation of volcanic landscape, formation and evolvement. Furthermore, the dynamic three-dimensional visual virtual scenery of the formation and evolvement of the volcano in the Changbai Mountains of Jilin, China, is constructed. This research provides an exploration of a biomimetic approach in the process of designing a candelabra model using linear shaped leaves of a Bell flower.The design process described in this research contains two step...This research provides an exploration of a biomimetic approach in the process of designing a candelabra model using linear shaped leaves of a Bell flower.The design process described in this research contains two steps:biological and geometrical.In the first biological step,a proper model for the creation of an urban element was found from nature in a Bell flower(Campanula persicifolia L.).The upper leaves of the selected plant,which are small with a linear spear and sharpening at the top,were chosen for the modeling process.The second step included applying two geometrical methods,i.e.,Voronoi diagrams and Delaunay triangulation.A geometrical leaf form of the selected plant species and the modeling process were obtained using aparametric modeling software,Blender.Using different Blender plug-ins and modifiers,Delaunay triangulation and Voronoi diagram were implemented by marking the starting points on the leaf form in the image data source,adjusting the Delaunay triangulation parameters,and creating Voronoi diagrams in which the Voronoi points were located at the shortest distance from the edges of the Voronoi polygon.Consequently,a three dimensional model of a candelabra was developed through this study.展开更多

Levels of the general construction plan and the individual component...The article deals with the current problem in field studies of architectural landscape organization of tourist cities Suzhou andZhouzhuang in China. Levels of the general construction plan and the individual components of the landscape, such as the relief,soft cape and water areas, are investigated. The results of the earlier urban field studies in Europe, America, Australia, Asia andmany others countries are presented.The results show that the structures of the cities are split by river channels, which allows to organize additional hiking tours byfloating facilities within a year and to improve the ecological environment. This is facilitated by favorable climatic conditions withwarm climate, which also helps to make gardens with artificial stone structures and reservoirs. The gardens have paths made ofsmall pebbles and stone slabs forming the national ornaments and small architectural forms. Arch bridges are constructed throughthe river channels and some building facades have vertical gardening. Temples, pagodas and other structures distinguish their traditionalChinese architectural style with curved roof coatings.The ancient Chinese cities of Suzhou and Zhouzhuang have highly artistic microlandscape. 文摘In general,architecture and land are two opposite sides,and a very important manifestation of the increasingly prominent contradiction between man and land is the contradiction between architecture and land.Traditional architectural landscape integration focuses on the relationship between architecture and environmental landscape.As the carrier of landscape and architecture,the integration of land and architecture is rarely mentioned.The integration of architecture and land to form an integrated architectural landscape has become an important creative strategy of contemporary pioneer architects.By exploring the relationship between architecture and land from the perspective of architectural landscape integration,it helps the architectural community to solve the contradiction between architecture and land.
文摘The article deals with the current problem in field studies of architectural landscape organization of tourist cities Suzhou andZhouzhuang in China. Levels of the general construction plan and the individual components of the landscape, such as the relief,soft cape and water areas, are investigated. The results of the earlier urban field studies in Europe, America, Australia, Asia andmany others countries are presented.The results show that the structures of the cities are split by river channels, which allows to organize additional hiking tours byfloating facilities within a year and to improve the ecological environment. This is facilitated by favorable climatic conditions withwarm climate, which also helps to make gardens with artificial stone structures and reservoirs. The gardens have paths made ofsmall pebbles and stone slabs forming the national ornaments and small architectural forms. Arch bridges are constructed throughthe river channels and some building facades have vertical gardening. Temples, pagodas and other structures distinguish their traditionalChinese architectural style with curved roof coatings.The ancient Chinese cities of Suzhou and Zhouzhuang have highly artistic microlandscape. This is unique feature of Chinese citiesknown as landscape art has brought them the international fame.
文摘By using literature expressions such as singing the praise,attaching morals to plants,and expressing emotions,the relationship between landscape architecture and plants as well as their literature attributes was studied.The relationship between plants and literature was summarized mainly as below:endowing plants with moral implications,indifference to fame and wealth,natural and ecological philosophical views.Correlation between plant literature and natural landscape was elaborated from the formal beauty,fragrance,light and shadow,sound and color beauty of plants,physical literature features of plants,internal relationship between literature connotations of plants and scenic areas was described and studied qualitatively.The study was to achieve the integration of plants,literature,plant landscaping and landscape architecture,and enhance the further research on plant literature,so as to increase cultural elements in plant landscaping,and promote the application of literature characteristics of plants.
文摘By comparatively analyzing the difference of Chinese-Western culture,the paper discussed different garden building concepts of China and western countries,and also pointed out the difference of morphological features,poetic imagery of landscape,patterns,structure and spatial connects led by these concepts.It is believed that the introducing the architectural art of garden will become an inevitable tendency.Instances were used to illustrate spatial layout of classical gardens,the construction of poetic imagery,architectural forms of western gardens and its referential significance to indoor landscape design.
