Both the fundamental facts and the important natures that the things which are interested by Objects Served (OS) (e.g. publishers and readers) and the server (e.g. digital libraries are the servers of publishers and readers) will not be the same completely although there are a lot of common benefits between OS and servers, are indeed clarified. The three-tier web architecture and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) are combined to build the web-based product data management (PDM) system which includes three tiers: the user services tier, the business services tier, and the data services tier. The client service component uses the server-side technology, and Extensible Markup Language (XML) web service which uses SOAP as the communication protocol is chosen as the business service component. To illustrate how to build a web-based PDM system using the proposed architecture, a case PDM system which included three logical tires was built. To use the security and central management features of the database, a stored procedure was recommended in the data services tier. The business object was implemented as an XML web service so that client could use standard internet protocols to communicate with the business object from any platform. In order to satisfy users using all sorts of browser, the server-side technology and Microsoft ASP.NET was used to create the dynamic user interface.展开更多

Wearable technologies portend improvements in a...INTRODUCTION: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a disorder characterized by complex motor and non-motor symptoms that can be difficult for patients to accurately communicate. Wearable technologies portend improvements in assessment and monitoring of these symptoms, with their clinical utility currently being evaluated in routine clinical care. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the clinical utility of the Personal KinetiGraph? (PKG?) Movement Recording System in the routine clinical care of persons with PD (PWP). METHODS: Clinically stable, non-demented PWP presented for two routine clinic visits that included: medication review, symptom review, neurological examination including the Movement Disorder Society Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS) III/IV, and completion of a clinical management plan by a movement disorder specialist prior to review of the PKG report. After reviewing the PKG report, the clinician completed a modified clinical management plan taking into consideration the findings of the PKG. This was repeated at a second visit to evaluate various outcome measures following PKG-enhanced management. RESULTS: The PKG improved the assessment of PD symptoms and the response to treatment, while increasing patient activity levels and compliance. Clinical management plans enhanced by PKG led to different recommendations in 29.4% of cases compared with standard of care due to higher rates of bradykinesia, dyskinesia, tremor, and fluctuations identified by PKG. Using the PKG in the clinical management plan led to a change in medications in 75% (21/28) of patients and both a statistically significant difference and a clinically meaningful reduction in MDS-UPDRS III score of 4.8 (p = 0.028). Additionally, positive changes in both the clinician (17/28;61%) and patient-reported (13/24;54%) Global Impression of Improvement were reported. CONCLUSION: The PKG is a valuable tool in augmenting clinical management when utilized along with a clinical assessment.展开更多

The large global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has seriously endangered the health care system in China and globally.The sudden surge of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 in...The large global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has seriously endangered the health care system in China and globally.The sudden surge of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection has revealed the shortage of critical care medicine resources and intensivists.Currently,the management of non-critically ill patients with COVID-19 is performed mostly by non-intensive care unit(ICU)physicians,who lack the required professional knowledge,training,and practice in critical care medicine,especially in terms of continuous monitoring of the respiratory function,intervention,and feedback on treatment effects.This clinical problem needs an urgent solution.Therefore,here,we propose a series of clinical strategies for non-ICU physicians aimed at the standardization of the management of non-critically ill patients with COVID-19 from the perspective of critical care medicine.Isolation management is performed to facilitate the implementation of hierarchical monitoring and intervention to ensure the reasonable distribution of scarce critical care medical resources and intensivists,highlight the key patients,timely detection of disease progression,and early and appropriate intervention and organ function support,and thus improve the prognosis.Different management objectives are also set based on the high-risk factors and the severity of patients with COVID-19.The approaches suggested herein will facilitate the timely detection of disease progression,and thus ensure the provision of early and appropriate intervention and organ function support,which will eventually improve the prognosis.展开更多
Background: Forest ecosystems are increasingly seen as multi-functional production systems, which should provide, besides timber and economic benefits, also other ecosystem services related to biological diversity, r...Background: Forest ecosystems are increasingly seen as multi-functional production systems, which should provide, besides timber and economic benefits, also other ecosystem services related to biological diversity, recreational uses and environmental functions of forests. This study analyzed the performance of even-aged rotation forest management (RFM), continuous cover forestry (CCF) and any-aged forestry (AAF) in the production of ecosystem services. AAF allows both even-aged and uneven-aged management schedules. The ecosystem services included in the analyses were net present value, volume of harvested timber, cowberry and bilberry yields, scenic value of the forest, carbon balance and suitability of the forest to Siberian jay. Methods: Data envelopment analysis was used to derive numerical efficiency ratios for the three management systems. Efficiency ratio is the sum of weighted outputs (ecosystem services) divided by the sum of weighted inputs. The linear programing model proposed by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes was used to derive the weights for calculating efficiency scores for the silvicultural systems. Results and conclusions: CCF provided more ecosystem services than RFM, and CCF was more efficient than RFM and AAF in the production of ecosystem services. Multi-objective management provided more ecosystem services (except harvested timber) than single-objective management that maximized economic profitability. The use of low discount rate (resulting in low cutting level and high growing stock volume) led to better supply of most ecosystems services than the use of high discount rate. RFM where NPV was maximized with high discount rate led to particularly poor provision of most ecosystem services. In CCF the provision of ecosystem services was less sensitive to changes in discount rate and management objective than in RFM.展开更多
The world is steadily moving to the post-liberal order with the urgent need of novel organizational and security approaches,also new levels of international cooperation,in order to support its stability and prosperity...The world is steadily moving to the post-liberal order with the urgent need of novel organizational and security approaches,also new levels of international cooperation,in order to support its stability and prosperity.The developed high-level Spatial Grasp Technology(SGT)and its Spatial Grasp Language(SGL)are briefed which may be particularly useful for solving numerous conflicts and crises problems emerging in different areas during this transitional period,in both local and global scale.SGT employs unlimited spatial scenario mobility and parallel holistic matching of distributed systems,with numerous communicating SGL interpreters potentially installed worldwide.Basic network creation and management operations are described in SGL which may operate on top of existing communication systems or serve individually as high level network protocols in case of non-local crises and disasters.Different operations on social networks are presented in SGL including finding strongest and weakest components with resultant changing of network topologies,also determining distances between different communities for preventing and predicting social conflicts.Fully distributed analysis,and tracing and simulation of multiple mobile objects in distributed spaces with complex routes are shown in SGL related to cruise missiles,defence objects and debris in outer space,as well as massively moving refugees through international borders.The proposed technology had trial implementations and applications in different countries,and its latest version can be readily installed by agreement on any platforms needed.展开更多

Object Detection is the task of localization and classification of objects in a video or image.In recent times,because of its widespread applications,it has obtained more importance.In the modern world,waste pollution...Object Detection is the task of localization and classification of objects in a video or image.In recent times,because of its widespread applications,it has obtained more importance.In the modern world,waste pollution is one significant environmental problem.The prominence of recycling is known very well for both ecological and economic reasons,and the industry needs higher efficiency.Waste object detection utilizing deep learning(DL)involves training a machine-learning method to classify and detect various types of waste in videos or images.This technology is utilized for several purposes recycling and sorting waste,enhancing waste management and reducing environmental pollution.Recent studies of automatic waste detection are difficult to compare because of the need for benchmarks and broadly accepted standards concerning the employed data andmetrics.Therefore,this study designs an Entropy-based Feature Fusion using Deep Learning forWasteObject Detection and Classification(EFFDL-WODC)algorithm.The presented EFFDL-WODC system inherits the concepts of feature fusion and DL techniques for the effectual recognition and classification of various kinds of waste objects.In the presented EFFDL-WODC system,two major procedures can be contained,such as waste object detection and waste object classification.For object detection,the EFFDL-WODC technique uses a YOLOv7 object detector with a fusionbased backbone network.In addition,entropy feature fusion-based models such as VGG-16,SqueezeNet,and NASNetmodels are used.Finally,the EFFDL-WODC technique uses a graph convolutional network(GCN)model performed for the classification of detected waste objects.The performance validation of the EFFDL-WODC approach was validated on the benchmark database.The comprehensive comparative results demonstrated the improved performance of the EFFDL-WODC technique over recent approaches.展开更多

This study analyzed the performance of even-aged rotation forest management (RFM), continuous cover forestry (CCF) and any-aged forestry (AAF) in the production of ecosystem services. AAF allows both even-aged and uneven-aged management schedules. The ecosystem services included in the analyses were net present value, volume of harvested timber, cowberry and bilberry yields, scenic value of the forest, carbon balance and suitability of the forest to Siberian jay. Methods: Data envelopment analysis was used to derive numerical efficiency ratios for the three management systems. Efficiency ratio is the sum of weighted outputs (ecosystem services) divided by the sum of weighted inputs. The linear programing model proposed by Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes was used to derive the weights for calculating efficiency scores for the silvicultural systems. Results and conclusions: CCF provided more ecosystem services than RFM, and CCF was more efficient than RFM and AAF in the production of ecosystem services. Multi-objective management provided more ecosystem services (except harvested timber) than single-objective management that maximized economic profitability. The use of low discount rate (resulting in low cutting level and high growing stock volume) led to better supply of most ecosystems services than the use of high discount rate. RFM where NPV was maximized with high discount rate led to particularly poor provision of most ecosystem services. In CCF the provision of ecosystem services was less sensitive to changes in discount rate and management objective than in RFM.
文摘The world is steadily moving to the post-liberal order with the urgent need of novel organizational and security approaches,also new levels of international cooperation,in order to support its stability and prosperity.The developed high-level Spatial Grasp Technology(SGT)and its Spatial Grasp Language(SGL)are briefed which may be particularly useful for solving numerous conflicts and crises problems emerging in different areas during this transitional period,in both local and global scale.SGT employs unlimited spatial scenario mobility and parallel holistic matching of distributed systems,with numerous communicating SGL interpreters potentially installed worldwide.Basic network creation and management operations are described in SGL which may operate on top of existing communication systems or serve individually as high level network protocols in case of non-local crises and disasters.Different operations on social networks are presented in SGL including finding strongest and weakest components with resultant changing of network topologies,also determining distances between different communities for preventing and predicting social conflicts.Fully distributed analysis,and tracing and simulation of multiple mobile objects in distributed spaces with complex routes are shown in SGL related to cruise missiles,defence objects and debris in outer space,as well as massively moving refugees through international borders.The proposed technology had trial implementations and applications in different countries,and its latest version can be readily installed by agreement on any platforms needed.

文摘Object Detection is the task of localization and classification of objects in a video or image.In recent times,because of its widespread applications,it has obtained more importance.In the modern world,waste pollution is one significant environmental problem.The prominence of recycling is known very well for both ecological and economic reasons,and the industry needs higher efficiency.Waste object detection utilizing deep learning(DL)involves training a machine-learning method to classify and detect various types of waste in videos or images.This technology is utilized for several purposes recycling and sorting waste,enhancing waste management and reducing environmental pollution.Recent studies of automatic waste detection are difficult to compare because of the need for benchmarks and broadly accepted standards concerning the employed data andmetrics.Therefore,this study designs an Entropy-based Feature Fusion using Deep Learning forWasteObject Detection and Classification(EFFDL-WODC)algorithm.The presented EFFDL-WODC system inherits the concepts of feature fusion and DL techniques for the effectual recognition and classification of various kinds of waste objects.In the presented EFFDL-WODC system,two major procedures can be contained,such as waste object detection and waste object classification.For object detection,the EFFDL-WODC technique uses a YOLOv7 object detector with a fusionbased backbone network.In addition,entropy feature fusion-based models such as VGG-16,SqueezeNet,and NASNetmodels are used.Finally,the EFFDL-WODC technique uses a graph convolutional network(GCN)model performed for the classification of detected waste objects.The performance validation of the EFFDL-WODC approach was validated on the benchmark database.The comprehensive comparative results demonstrated the improved performance of the EFFDL-WODC technique over recent approaches.
