Rule acquisition of three-way semi-concept lattices in formal decision context

Three-way concept analysis is an important tool for information processing,and rule acquisition is one of the research hotspots of three-way concept analysis.However,compared with three-way concept lattices,three-way semi-concept lattices have three-way operators with weaker constraints,which can generate more concepts.In this article,the problem of rule acquisition for three-way semi-concept lattices is discussed in general.The authors construct the finer relation of three-way semi-concept lattices,and propose a method of rule acquisition for three-way semi-concept lattices.The authors also discuss the set of decision rules and the relationships of decision rules among object-induced three-way semi-concept lattices,object-induced three-way concept lattices,classical concept lattices and semi-concept lattices.Finally,examples are provided to illustrate the validity of our conclusions.

Simultaneous Interpreting Output Assessment of Earnings Conference Call: Case Analysis of Tencent 2022 Q3 Result Announcement

Quality in simultaneous interpreting is a frequently discussed concept. In the enterprise setting, earnings conference call remains a rarely explored field. This thesis offers a descriptive study on assessing interpreting quality from perspectives of fidelity, fluency, and appropriacy. As the corpus, Tencent 2022 Third Quarter Result Announcement provides an ideal transcript to the author to conduct its analysis. Interpreting is frequently done without bearing in mind the multitude of factors that can affect the quality of interpreting. Drawing a conclusion that the interpreter does make a lot of omissions, pauses and hesitations posing a negative effect on the fidelity, fluency and accuracy of the interpreting, the present author suggests that more preparation should be done for improving performance, such as terminologies, company background information, a reasonable speech rate, good image and acoustic quality, and so on.

Calling与使命:中西文化中的心理学界定与发展

Calling成为近年来西方职业心理学关注的新焦点。Calling概念起源于新教改革,经历了从宗教性到世俗性的转变过程。对calling的中文翻译为"使命",使命在中国的概念演化过程与calling相似,内涵相近,但也存在中西文化差异。使命为职业心理学提供了新的切入点,它有助于个体的职业生涯发展、生活满意度和人生意义感等方面,具有很大的理论和应用价值。国内相关研究可从概念界定方面入手,进一步综合运用多种方法考察使命感的作用,并可将职业使命感与一般使命感分别进行研究。

The mediating role of organizational commitment between calling and work engagement of nurses: A cross-sectional study

Objective: Nurse shortage is a critical problem for global healthcare services.It impacts the quality of clinical care.Work engagement is the core competence of hospitals,which indicates employee's positive attitude toward organization and work.This study aimed to explore the relationships among calling,organizational commitment,and work engagement.Methods: A cross-sectional study was designed,and 320 nurses from tertiary hospitals in China completed the questionnaires that included demographic information,calling scale,employee engagement scale,and organizational commitment scale.Pearson correlation was performed to test the correlations among calling,organizational commitment,and work engagement.Stepwise regression analyses were performed to explore the mediating role of organizational commitment.The bootstrap method was employed to confirm the mediating effect.Results: Nurses' work engagement score was at the medium degree,whereas calling and organizational commitment were in the medium to high level.The results revealed that calling,organizational commitment,work engagement,and each dimension were positively correlated with one another (r=0.145-0.922,P < 0.01).The organizational commitment plays a partially mediating effect between calling and work engagement (β =0.603 to 0.333,P < 0.01).Conclusions: The mediation effect of organizational commitment was verified,which provided a comprehensive understanding of how calling impacted work engagement.Moreover,administrators should not only promote interventions to increase work engagement but also pay attention to calling and organizational commitment so as to improve their work engagement.Taken together,increased level of work engagement is required in the current nursing field.

Circadian Rhythm of Calling Behavior in the Emei Music Frog(Babina daunchina) is Associated with Habitat Temperature and Relative Humidity

Generally, the function of vocalizations made by male anurans are to attract females or defend resources. Typically, males vocalize in choruses during one or more periods in a twenty-four-hour cycle, which varies, however, among species. Nevertheless, the causal factors influencing circadian variations of calling patterns in anuran species are not clear. In this study, male chorus vocalizations were monitored in the Emei music frog(Babina daunchina) for 17 consecutive days during the breeding season, while its habitat air temperature and relative humidity in the course of experiments were measured as well. The results revealed that the circadian calling patterns were characterized by two periods of peak vocalization, which were observed from 0500 h to 0700 h and from 1300 h to 2000 h, while the lowest activity period was found from 2100 h to 2200 h. Both calls/h and notes/h were positively correlated with air temperature and negatively with relative humidity. Overall, our data indicate that the Emei music frogs(B. daunchina) could regulate their vocal activities based on the changes of physical micro-environment(e. g., temperature or humidity) to maximize reproductive success.

Three-Way Behavioral Decision Making With Hesitant Fuzzy Information Systems:Survey and Challenges

Three-way decision(T-WD)theory is about thinking,problem solving,and computing in threes.Behavioral decision making(BDM)focuses on effective,cognitive,and social processes employed by humans for choosing the optimal object,of which prospect theory and regret theory are two widely used tools.The hesitant fuzzy set(HFS)captures a series of uncertainties when it is difficult to specify precise fuzzy membership grades.Guided by the principles of three-way decisions as thinking in threes and integrating these three topics together,this paper reviews and examines advances in three-way behavioral decision making(TW-BDM)with hesitant fuzzy information systems(HFIS)from the perspective of the past,present,and future.First,we provide a brief historical account of the three topics and present basic formulations.Second,we summarize the latest development trends and examine a number of basic issues,such as one-sidedness of reference points and subjective randomness for result values,and then report the results of a comparative analysis of existing methods.Finally,we point out key challenges and future research directions.

Terminal-to-Terminal Calling for GEO Broadband Mobile Satellite Communication

Satellite and terrestrial components of IMT-Advanced need to be integrated so that the traditional strengths of each component can be fully exploited. LTE/LTE-A is now a recognized foundation of terrestrial 4G networks, and mobile satellite networks should be based on it. Long transmission delay is one of the main disadvantages of satellite communication, especially in a GEO system, and terminal-to-terminal （TtT） design reduces this delay. In this paper, we propose a protocol architecture based on LTE/LTE-A for GEO mobile satellite communication. We propose a detailed call procedure and four TtT modes for this architecture. We describe the division of tasks between the satellite gateway （SAT-GW） and satellite as well as TtT processing in the physical layer of the satellite in order to reduce delay and ensure compatibility with a terrestrial LTE/LTE-A system.

基于运营商公共开放Wi-Fi网络的Wi-Fi Calling业务集成方法

针对移动运营商如何利用其公共Wi-Fi网络引入Wi-Fi Calling业务并提升当前Wi-Fi网络流量不足、用户体验差等问题,分析了公共开放Wi-Fi的网络特性,提出了基于公共Wi-Fi网络进行业务集成和控制的通用思路,进一步设计了基于公共Wi-Fi网络进行Wi-Fi Calling业务集成的方法,从而实现了Wi-Fi Calling用户自动接入Wi-Fi网络,并改进当前Wi-Fi Calling存在的一些缺陷。通过基于公共Wi-Fi现网环境验证,用户体验较好,Wi-Fi Calling增强能力得以体现,通过Wi-Fi Calling业务开展可以激活运营商公共Wi-Fi网络使用。

Spring Voices in Korean Rice Fields:The Effect of Abiotic Variables and Syntopic Calls on the Calling Activity of the Treefrog Dryophytes suweonensis

The calling activity of anurans is influenced by environmental variables and calls produced by syntopic amphibians,among other variables.Some variables have a strong influence,such as temperature and predation dilution,while others may have a periodical influence such as the moon cycle.Here,we hypothesised that the calling activity of the Suweon treefrog,Dryophytes suweonensis,is restricted by specific environmental variables but reinforced by the calling activity of specific syntopic anurans.Within the criteria set by the experimental design,D.suweonensis calling activity was significantly influenced by moon phase,temperature,date,time to sunset and the calling activity of Pelophylax nigromaculatus and D.japonicus.These variables are expected to be related to chorus size,predation,breeding phenology and competition,suggesting a broad plasticity in the calling activity of the species.

Be Called and Be Healthier:How Does Calling Influence Employees’Anxiety and Depression in the Workplace?

Despite limited studies have found the negative relationships between calling and mental health symptoms,its underlying mechanism is still unknown.Drawing on the conservation of resources theory(COR),this study developed the resources model that explains the relationships between career calling,anxiety and depression,and the underlying mechanism.With a sample of 628 employees from the two-wave survey,the theorized model was tested.The results showed that career calling was able to decrease the levels of employees’anxiety and depression,and two important resources(i.e.,personal growth,and meaningful work)provided explanatory mechanisms for the relationships.The findings highlight the importance of spirituality in the workplace.Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

Antipredatory call behavior of lapwing species in an Afrotropical environment

Predation is an important source of natural selection on prey species and has resulted in adaptations such as antipredator vocal signals,which can alert others to the presence of predators and solicit cooperative attack.Although vocal alarm signals of birds have been well studied,they are poorly known in tropical African species.To address this lack of information,the antipredatory signals and responses of two lapwings(Wattled Lapwing Vanellus senegallus and Spur-winged Lapwing Vanellus spinosus)to potential predators were investigated using data collected from focal observation,distance measurements,focal recordings,and playback experiment.The lapwing calls elicited to predators were classified as alarm or mobbing calls based on whether the calls elicited alert behavior or attack from other lapwings.Discriminant linear analysis(DLA)was used to compare the time and frequency parameters of the call types measured in Raven PRO.Also,lapwings’responses to intruders,alert and start distance,time of day,and latency,as well as the effects of flock size and distance to cover were examined.About 48%of all calls was correctly classified by DLA.The best predictors of call type for the lapwings were maximum frequency and high frequency.Both alarm and mobbing calls were elicited by African Wattled Lapwings to dogs and humans.Mobbing calls were elicited to intruders by the Spur-winged Lapwings.Alert distance was positively associated with start distance,and differed between morning and evening in both lapwings.With scarce information from tropical Africa,this study put in perspective vocal and antipredator behavior of lapwing species in Africa.
