Accurate prediction of stress-strain behavior of metals as a function of arbitrary temperature and strain rate paths has remained a challenge. The Mechanical Threshold Stress constitutive model is one formalism that has emerged following several decades of research. Vast experience has accumulated with the application of the Mechanical Threshold Stress model over a wide variety of pure metals and alloys. Out of this has arisen common trends across metal systems. The magnitude of activation energies presents one example of this, where these variables consistently increase in magnitude as the obstacle to dislocation motion transitions from short range to long range. Trends in strain hardening are also observed. In Face-Centered Cubic metals the magnitude of strain hardening scales with the stacking fault energy;trends in Body-Centered Cubic metals are less clear. Model parameters derived for over twenty metals and alloys are tabulated. Common trends should guide future application of the MTS model and further model development. 展开更多

These include the decrease with the increasing stress of the normalized activation energy characterizing deformation kinetics, the tendency toward Stage IV hardening at high strains, and the influence of crystallographic texture. Minor additions to the Mechanical Threshold Stress model are introduced to account for variations of the activation energy and the addition of Stage IV hardening. Crystallographic texture cannot be modeled using an isotropic formulation, but some common trends when analyzing predominantly shear deformation followed by uniaxial deformation are described. Comparisons of model predictions with measurements in copper processed using Equal Channel Angular Pressing are described. 展开更多

The influence of orientation on the creep properties of the nickel-base single crystal superalloy SRR99 was investigated at 760℃ and various levels of applied stress.It was found that the effect of anisotropy was strikingly prominent at this temperature.Deformation mechanisms of single crystals with three principal orientations at 760℃/790 MPa were explained according to detailed observations of dislocation arrangements by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM).Liability to shearing γ' precipitates for [011] orientation and co-planar slip for [111] orientation resulted in poor creep strength and short stress rupture life.It was also found that the apparent primary creep strain could be measured when the applied stress was increased to 565 MPa.Modified power law equation was adopted and the concept of a threshold stress σ 0 which determines dislocation looping or shearing to be activated was then involved.Through detailed calculations,the threshold stress was obtained to further analyse the distribution of the applied stress and better rationalize the anisotropic creep behaviour in the stereographic triangle in combination with TEM observations. 展开更多

The competition between physical aging and structural rejuvenation determines the physical and mechanical properties of glassy materials.Thus,the rejuvenation-aging boundary must be identified quantitatively.In this work,we unravel a stress boundary to distinguish rejuvenation from aging via the thermo-mechanical creep of a typical Zr-based metallic glass.The crept glasses were rejuvenated into high-enthalpy disordered states when the applied stress exceeded a threshold that was numerically close to the steady-state flow stress;otherwise,the glasses were aged.A theoretical model for glass creep was adopted to demystify the observed stress threshold of rejuvenation.The model revealed that the thermo-mechanical creep beyond the threshold stress could activate sufficient shear transformations to create a net free volume,thus leading to structural rejuvenation.Furthermore,we derived the analytical expressions for the threshold and flow stresses.Both stresses can act as the rejuvenation-aging boundary,which is well supported by experimental creep data.The present work procures a deeper understanding of the rejuvenation mechanism of glasses and provides useful implications for abstaining from glass aging. 展开更多

The threshold pressure gradient and formation stress-sensitive effect as the two prominent physical phenomena in the development of a low-permeable reservoir are both considered here for building a new coupled moving boundary model of radial flow in porous medium. Moreover, the wellbore storage and skin effect are both incorporated into the inner boundary conditions in the model. It is known that the new coupled moving boundary model has strong nonlinearity. A coordinate transformation based fully implicit finite difference method is adopted to obtain its numerical solutions. The involved coordinate transformation can equivalently transform the dynamic flow region for the moving boundary model into a fixed region as a unit circle, which is very convenient for the model computation by the finite difference method on fixed spatial grids. By comparing the numerical solution obtained from other different numerical method in the existing literature, its validity can be verified. Eventually, the effects of permeability modulus, threshold pressure gradient, wellbore storage coefficient, and skin factor on the transient wellbore pressure, the derivative, and the formation pressure distribution are analyzed respectively. 展开更多

Near-threshold fatigue crack propagation behaviour of a cold-worked copper tested with distinct fa- tigue testing systems under different stress ratios has been investigated.The emphasis was placed on the evaluation of crack closure effect as well as the effective fatigue threshold,It was found that the fatigue threshold for R=0 is higher than those for R=-1 and R=0.4,for which almost the same threshold value was derived.Compared with the conventional closure evaluation method,the pro- posed new closure evaluation method can generally interpret the dependence of the fatigue thresh- old on stress ratio and loading condition,and leads to a higher and relatively constant effective fa- tigue threshold of about 3 MPa·m^(1/2) for the cold-worked copper at different stress ratios and loading conditions. 展开更多

Combined bodies of rock-like material and rock are widely encountered in geotechnical engineering,such as tunnels and mines.The existing theoretical models describing the stress-strain relationship of a combined body lack a binary feature.Based on effective medium theory,this paper presents the governing equation of the“elastic modulus”for combined and single bodies under triaxial compressive tests.A binary effective medium model is then established.Based on the compressive experiment of concretegranite combined bodies,the feasibility of determining the stress threshold based on crack axial strain is discussed,and the model is verified.The model is further extended to coal-rock combined bodies of more diverse types,and the variation laws of the compressive mechanical parameters are then discussed.The results show that the fitting accuracy of the model with the experimental curves of the concretegranite combined bodies and various types of coal-rock combined bodies are over 95%.The crack axial strain method can replace the crack volumetric strain method,which clarifies the physical meanings of the model parameters.The variation laws of matrix parameters and crack parameters are discussed in depth and are expected to be more widely used in geotechnical engineering. 展开更多

The effects of the initial principal stress direction α0,the initial ratio of deviatoric stress η0,the initial average effective principal stress p0 and the initial intermediate principal stress parameter b0 on the threshold shear strain γt of Nanjing saturated fine sand are then systematically investigated. The results show that γt increases as η0,p0 and b0 increase respectively,while the other three parameters remain constant. α0 has a great influence on γt,which is reduced when α0 increases from 0° to 45° and increased when α0 increases from 45° to 90°. The effect of α0 on γt plays a leading role and the effect of η0 will weaken when α0 is approximately 45°. 展开更多

灰岩在烧变过程中的热破裂机制试验研究

自燃煤层围岩在不同高温作用下会引起不同程度的结构损伤,导致其物理力学性质和工程地质效应发生显著变化。为深入认识烧变过程中岩石的结构演化规律,以徐州某矿底板灰岩为研究对象,开展不同温度作用下的热破裂试验,从多尺度上探究岩石... 自燃煤层围岩在不同高温作用下会引起不同程度的结构损伤,导致其物理力学性质和工程地质效应发生显著变化。为深入认识烧变过程中岩石的结构演化规律,以徐州某矿底板灰岩为研究对象,开展不同温度作用下的热破裂试验,从多尺度上探究岩石热破裂的规律,并结合数值模拟和微观结构测试揭示其发育机理。结果显示:(1)方解石填充裂隙、层理等相对软弱结构面的热破裂温度阈值在300~400℃,完整岩石结构的热破裂温度阈值在500℃左右;600℃之前的热破裂形态较简单,基本是直线型裂纹,且宽度较小、数量较少;700℃以上出现宽度和长度显著增大的弧形热裂纹,热裂纹两侧试样的颜色有明显区别,靠近热裂纹的白色部位还发育一些连通弧形裂纹的次级小裂纹;800℃时,试样颜色全部变白,结构完全破碎,成散体状。(2)从微观结构和热应力角度阐释灰岩热破裂发育机理,发现试验温度路径下试样的热破裂主要发育在降温过程中,且最大热应力差主要在靠近试样表面的近似环形带上分布。500℃以下的热破裂成因主要为热应力在试样的原始缺陷处集中,并超过了部分软弱结构的抗拉强度;500℃以上受热应力与矿物分解共同控制,500℃以上升降温过程中的最大热应力基本超过灰岩的抗拉强度,且菱镁矿、白云母、白云石等矿物逐渐分解,逐渐增多的内部缺陷为应力集中提供有利条件,加剧了热破裂的发育;当温度达到800℃时,热破裂发育程度很高,且白云石和方解石快速分解,生成CaO,部分CaO在冷却过程中与空气接触生成Ca(OH)2,热裂纹与主体矿物分解共同导致试样结构的破碎。研究成果可为岩体破裂和地质结构演化分析奠定基础。 展开更多

目的探究流体流动剪切力(fluid flow shear stress,FFSS)下,滑膜细胞及软骨细胞释放高迁移率族蛋白1(high⁃mobility group box 1,HMGB1)时流体力学的阈值;阐明异常机械力刺激下,滑膜细胞及软骨细胞破坏的先后顺序,为了解颞下颌关节骨关... 目的探究流体流动剪切力(fluid flow shear stress,FFSS)下,滑膜细胞及软骨细胞释放高迁移率族蛋白1(high⁃mobility group box 1,HMGB1)时流体力学的阈值;阐明异常机械力刺激下,滑膜细胞及软骨细胞破坏的先后顺序,为了解颞下颌关节骨关节炎的发病机制及病理研究提供实验基础。方法获得医院动物实验伦理委员会的审批,于SD大鼠膝关节获取滑膜组织及软骨组织块,消化培养获得滑膜细胞及软骨细胞,取3~4代滑膜细胞及软骨细胞,通过流体剪切力学装置对软骨及滑膜细胞施加FFSS,根据不同大小的FFSS值分组,分别采用1、3、5、10 dyn/cm^(2)的FFSS刺激滑膜细胞1 h,采用4、8、12、16 dyn/cm^(2)的FFSS刺激软骨细胞1 h,静息培养(0 dyn/cm^(2))作为对照组,观察细胞的形态学变化、免疫组化检测HMGB1及白细胞介素⁃1β(interleu⁃kin⁃1β,IL⁃1β)的细胞表达分布,ELISA检测上清液中HMGB1与IL⁃1β的水平;Western blot检测细胞HMGB1与IL⁃1β蛋白表达水平。结果随着FFSS负载的增大,滑膜细胞及软骨细胞逐渐肿胀,破裂,且细胞数量减少。随着FFSS负载的增大,HMGB1与IL⁃1β的表达由胞核逐渐转移至胞浆。在滑膜细胞中,与对照组相比,1、3、5、10 dyn/cm^(2)干预组中的HMGB1和IL⁃1β在上清液及细胞内的表达水平明显升高(P<0.01)。在软骨细胞中,与对照组相比,4、12、16 dyn/cm^(2) FFSS干预组中HMGB1在上清液中的表达水平增加(P<0.05),细胞HMGB1蛋白表达水平明显增加(P<0.01);而在8 dyn/cm^(2) FFSS干预组中HMGB1在上清液中的表达水平明显增加(P<0.01),但细胞HMGB1蛋白表达减少(P<0.01);与对照组相比,4、8、12、16 dyn/cm^(2) FFSS干预组中IL⁃1β在上清液中表达水平逐渐增加(P<0.01);除4 dyn/cm^(2)组外,随着FFSS负载增大,细胞中IL⁃1β的蛋白表达水平逐渐升高。结论滑膜细胞及软骨细胞随FFSS负载增大出现溶胀破裂,释放HMGB1流体力学阈值分别接近于1 dyn/cm^(2)和8 dyn/cm^(2);即在受到机械力刺激时,滑膜细胞先于软骨细胞损伤。 展开更多

应激生活事件和社会支持对大学生抑郁风险预警阈值研究 被引量:1

目的:抑郁是青少年最常见的情绪问题。其中,近期应激和社会支持是影响大学生抑郁的关键危险性因素和保护性因素,本研究探索这两个关键因素与大学生抑郁关系中可能存在的阈值效应,以期为提升抑郁风险预测的精准性和有效性,以及发展抑郁... 目的:抑郁是青少年最常见的情绪问题。其中,近期应激和社会支持是影响大学生抑郁的关键危险性因素和保护性因素,本研究探索这两个关键因素与大学生抑郁关系中可能存在的阈值效应,以期为提升抑郁风险预测的精准性和有效性,以及发展抑郁风险预警系统提供科学依据。方法:整群抽取我国中部H省3所地方普通本科高校2018-2022年入学的14043名本科生进行调查研究。采用SPSS 26.0对数据进行描述性统计分析、相关分析和线性回归分析,并采用R3.5.2进行分段回归模型(PRM)探索应激生活事件和社会支持对大学生抑郁的预测阈值。结果:①应激生活事件、社会支持与抑郁之间存在显著的两两相关,其中,社会支持与应激生活事件、抑郁存在显著的负相关(P<0.01),应激生活事件与抑郁存在显著的正相关(P<0.01);②应激生活事件的阈值达到42.055后,应激生活事件对抑郁水平的诱发作用愈发显著。而社会支持水平的阈值达到18.318后,社会支持对抑郁水平的抑制作用受到削弱;③根据应激生活事件和社会支持对抑郁的阈值效应可将大学生群体分为4组,高应激生活事件低社会支持组和高应激生活事件高社会支持组的大学生抑郁水平显著高于低应激生活事件低社会支持组和低应激生活事件高社会支持组(P<0.05),且高应激生活事件低社会支持组学生的抑郁水平又显著高于高应激生活事件高社会支持组学生(P<0.05);④4个组别的大学生在性别上的分布也存在显著差异(χ^(2)=129.014,P<0.001),高应激生活事件低社会支持组的男生占比(43.7%)明显高于总体样本中男生的比例(30.1%)。结论:应激生活事件、社会支持与大学生抑郁之间存在阈值效应,根据阈值效应分类的高应激生活事件低社会支持组大学生的抑郁水平更为严重;应激生活事件低于42.055阈值水平,社会支持高于18.318的阈值时,大学生的抑郁情绪会得到明显缓解。 展开更多

The Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake and the Lushan M7.0 earthquake occurred in the north and south segments of the Longmenshan nappe tectonic belt, respectively. Based on the focal mechanism and finite fault model of the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake, we calculated the coulomb failure stress change. The inverted coulomb stress changes based on the Nishimura and Chenji models both show that the Lushan MT. 0 earth- quake occurred in the increased area of coulomb failure stress induced by the Wenchuan Ms8. 0 earthquake. The coulomb failure stress increased by approximately 0. 135 - 0. 152 bar in the source of the Lushan M7.0 earthquake, which is far more than the stress triggering threshold. Therefore, the Lushan M7.0 earthquake was most likely triggered by the coulomb failure stress change. 展开更多

In this paper, we demonstrate that thermal stress is the main mechanism in the process of paint removal by Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (λ = 1064 nm, τ = 10 ns). A theoretical model ofpaint removal by short-pulse laser is established from the perspective of thermal stress. Thermal stress is generated by thermal expansion, and the temperatures of different samples are calculated according to the one-dimensional (1D) heat conduction equation. The theoretical cleaning threshold can be obtained by comparing thermal stress with the adhesion of paint, and the theoretical damage threshold is obtained by calculating the temperature. Moreover, the theoretical calculations are verified by experimental results. It is shown that the thermal stress model of the laser cleaning is very useful to choose the appropriate laser fluence in the practical applications of paint removal by Q-switched Nd: YAG laser because our model can validly balance the efficiency of laser cleaning and the safety of the substrate. 展开更多

This paper studies the degradation of device parameters and that of stress induced leakage current (SILC) of thin tunnel gate oxide under channel hot electron (CHE) stress at high temperature by using n-channel metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (NMOSFETs) with 1.4-nm gate oxides. The degradation of device parameters under CHE stress exhibits saturating time dependence at high temperature. The emphasis of this paper is on SILC of an ultra-thin-gate-oxide under CHE stress at high temperature. Based on the experimental results, it is found that there is a linear correlation between SILC degradation and Vh degradation in NMOSFETs during CHE stress. A model of the combined effect of oxide trapped negative charges and interface traps is developed to explain the origin of SILC during CHE stress. 展开更多

Post-processing can effectively improve the resistance to laser damage in multilayer films used in a high power laser system. In this work, HfO_2/SiO_2 multilayer films are prepared by e-beam evaporation and then β-ray irradiation is employed as the post-processing method. The particle irradiation affects the laser induced damage threshold(LIDT),which includes defects, surface roughness, packing density and residual stress. The residual stress that is relaxed during irradiation changes from compressive stress into tensile stress. Our results indicate that appropriate tensile stress can improve LIDT remarkably. In view of the fact that LIDT rises from 8 J/cm^2 to 12 J/cm^2, i.e., 50% increase, after the film has been irradiated by 2.2×10^(13)/cm^2 β-ray, the particle irradiation can be used as a controllable and desirable postprocessing method to improve the resistance to laser induced damage. 展开更多

春小麦叶片气体交换与产量对干旱响应的阈值差异

叶片气体交换过程是作物干物质及产量形成的基础,在干旱发展过程中作物叶片气体交换对水分胁迫存在阈值响应,众多相关生理指标也以此为基础用于监测作物受旱状况。然而作物叶片气体交换过程与产量对干旱的响应阈值是否具有同步性,目前... 叶片气体交换过程是作物干物质及产量形成的基础,在干旱发展过程中作物叶片气体交换对水分胁迫存在阈值响应,众多相关生理指标也以此为基础用于监测作物受旱状况。然而作物叶片气体交换过程与产量对干旱的响应阈值是否具有同步性,目前尚不清楚,这在一定程度上影响了利用作物生长期叶片气体交换相关生理指标监测农业干旱的准确性。本研究通过控制试验确定春小麦叶片气体交换对干旱的响应阈值,并利用该阈值特征参数化春小麦生长模型,从而设计水分控制模拟试验,分析春小麦产量对干旱的阈值响应特征及其与叶片气体交换指标阈值的差异。结果表明:春小麦气孔导度对土壤有效含水量的响应阈值为0.50,大于蒸腾速率与净光合速率的响应阈值(0.40)。用净光合速率对土壤有效含水量的响应阈值参数化春小麦生长模型,能够准确模拟春小麦地上部生物量和产量的变化。春小麦地上部生物量与产量对根系层土壤有效含水量的响应阈值为0.18,明显小于叶片气体交换指标对土壤有效含水量的响应阈值。证明了利用作物生育期间叶片气体交换等生理指标表征作物受旱状况,反映作物最终产量降低程度会存在一定问题。本研究结果可为农业干旱监测、预测及干旱影响评估提供参考依据。 展开更多

当前干旱区荒漠植物盐爪爪(Kalidium foliatum)种群存在自我更新障碍,荒漠区很少见到幼苗,水分和温度可能是荒漠区造成自我更新障碍的两个主要的生态因素。本研究采用聚乙二醇(PEG-6000)模拟干旱,在不同温度下(20℃/5℃、25℃/10℃、30... 当前干旱区荒漠植物盐爪爪(Kalidium foliatum)种群存在自我更新障碍,荒漠区很少见到幼苗,水分和温度可能是荒漠区造成自我更新障碍的两个主要的生态因素。本研究采用聚乙二醇(PEG-6000)模拟干旱,在不同温度下(20℃/5℃、25℃/10℃、30℃/15℃和35℃/20℃),研究干旱胁迫(0、5%、10%、15%、20%、30%PEG)对盐爪爪种子发芽特征和幼苗生长的影响,旨在探索盐爪爪种子发芽和幼苗生长与其原生境温度和干旱条件的相关性。结果表明:不同温度对盐爪爪种子萌发和幼苗生长有显著影响(P<0.01),其中发芽率、发芽指数、发芽势在30℃/15℃条件下达到最高,该温度可作为盐爪爪种子发芽特性和幼苗生长时期最适宜的温度;不同浓度的PEG-6000溶液对其种子萌发产生显著影响(P<0.05),在30℃/15℃下,高浓度(>15%PEG-6000)溶液对盐爪爪种子的萌发有抑制作用,且随着浓度的增大抑制作用也随之增强,低浓度的PEG-6000溶液(5%)对盐爪爪种子的发芽率、发芽势和发芽指数略有促进作用,适当的干旱胁迫有利于盐爪爪幼苗的生长,使出苗整齐。 展开更多

Machine learning(ML)has powerful nonlinear processing and multivariate learning capabilities,so it has been widely utilised in the fatigue field.However,most ML methods are inexplicable black-box models that are difficult to apply in engineering practice.Symbolic regression(SR)is an interpretable machine learning method for determining the optimal fitting equation for datasets.In this study,domain knowledge-guided SR was used to determine a new fatigue crack growth(FCG)rate model.Three terms of the variable subtree ofΔK,R-ratio,andΔK_(th)were obtained by analysing eight traditional semi-empirical FCG rate models.Based on the FCG rate test data from other literature,the SR model was constructed using Al-7055-T7511.It was subsequently extended to other alloys(Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al,Ti-6Al-4V,Cr-Mo-V,LC9cs,Al-6013-T651,and Al-2324-T3)using multiple linear regression.Compared with the three semi-empirical FCG rate models,the SR model yielded higher prediction accuracy.This result demonstrates the potential of domain knowledge-guided SR for building the FCG rate model. 展开更多
