The difference between the two methods is that the components of PCA are still dependent while ICA has no orthogonality constraint and its latentvariables are independent. Process monitoring with PCA often supposes that process data or principal components is Gaussian distribution. However, this kind of constraint cannot be satisfied by several practical processes. To ex-tend the use of PCA, a nonparametric method is added to PCA to overcome the difficulty, and kernel density estimation (KDE) is rather a good choice. Though ICA is based on non-Gaussian distribution intormation, .KDE can help in the close monitoring of the data. The 0.07BaTiO33-0.93Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramic is synthesized using a combination of Zn3Nb2O8 B-site precursor and BaTiO33 perovskite phase stabilizer. Then, x-ray absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory are employed to calculate the local structure configuration and formation energy of the prepared samples. Ba2+ is found to replace Pb2+ in AA-site with Zn2+ occupying BB-site in Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3, while in the neighboring structure, Ti4+4+ replaces Nb5+5+ in BB-site with Pb2+2+ occupying AA-site. With the substitution of BaTiO33 in Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3, the bond length between Zn2+ and Pb2+ is longer than that of the typical perovskite phase of Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3. This indicates the key role of BaTiO33 in decreasing the steric hindrance of Pb2+ lone pair, and the mutual interactions between Pb2+ lone pair and Zn2+ and the formation energy is seen to decrease. This finding of the formation energy and local structure configuration relationship can further extend a fundamental understanding of the role of BaTiO33 in stabilizing the perovskite phase in PbZn13Nb23O3-based materials, which in turn will lead to an improved preparation technique for desired electrical properties.展开更多

The solution of the GLR-MQ evolution equation for the gluon density shows that the FL^g(x, Q2) behavior can be tamed by the singularity at low x values. Comparing our results with H1 data at R=4 GeV-1 shows that at very low x this behavior is completely tamed by taking shadowing correction into account.展开更多

Methods: A total of 218 patients who were diagnosed with osteoporosis in the hospital between February 2014 and January 2017 were collected as observation group, and 100 healthy volunteers who received physical examination in the hospital during the same period were selected as normal control group. The femoral head of the two groups was analyzed by three-dimensional finite element model, and the femoral head BMD levels and serum bone metabolism index contents were measured. Pearson test was used to evaluate the evaluation value of femoral head three-dimensional finite element model for osteoporosis. Results: The cancellous bone and cortical bone Von Mises stress value of observation group were lower than those of normal control group, and femoral neck BMD value of observation group was lower than that of normal control group;serum bone metabolism index BGP content was lower than that of normal control group while NBAP, TRACP-5b and CTX-1 contents were higher than those of normal control group. Pearson test showed that the cancellous bone and cortical bone Von Mises stress value of patients with osteoporosis were directly correlated with BMD value and bone metabolism index contents. Conclusion: The three-dimensional finite element model analysis resultsof patients with osteoporosis can objectively reflect the femoral headBMD value and bone metabolism activity, and is a reliable way to evaluate the risk of long-term fractures.展开更多

The polymeric concrete contains micro-particles obtained from High Density Poly-Ethylene (HDPE) mechanically recycled (post-consumer bottles);the official Mexican standard NMX-E-232-SCFI-1999 considers the HDPE as the recyclable plastic material. Thermo-grams based on weight lost were obtained from the raw material (HDPE) and the polymer concrete in order to obtain the glass transition temperature (Tg) and melting temperature (Tf). The analysis conditions were defined from 20°C to 180°C and the heat rate of 1°C/minute. The results show that the glass transition temperature of polymeric concrete is 46°C and the HDPE is 38°C. These results mean that the polymeric concrete is more resistant to decomposition. With respect to the melting temperature, the results show that the 2°C difference between polymeric concrete and HDPE is not significant. The polymeric concrete with HDPE recycled can be considered as composite material thermoplastic. The new material melts when it is heated to 146°C and has the ability to be softened, processed and reprocessed with temperature and pressure changes, which make it possible to obtain molded pieces in the desired shape.展开更多

We propose a novel method in this paper to observe seismic data on time slices from spatial subsets. The composition of a spatial subset and the unique character of orthogonal or oblique subsets are described and pre-stack subsets are shown by 3D visualization. In seismic data processing, spatial subsets can be used for the following aspects: (1) to check the trace distribution uniformity and regularity; (2) to observe the main features of ground-roll and linear noise; (3) to find abnormal traces from slices of datasets; and (4) to QC the results of pre-stack noise attenuation. The field data application shows that seismic data analysis in spatial subsets is an effective method that may lead to a better discrimination among various wavefields and help us obtain more information.展开更多

The mass fractal dimensions (De) of PFC-HA floes were calculated by bi-logarithm relation of effective density with maximum diameter and Logan empirical equation. The Df value was more than 2.0 at initial pH of 7,0, which was 11% and 13% higher than those at pH 9.0 and 5.0, respecively, indicating the most compact flocs formed in flocculated HA water at initial pH of 7.0. The image analysis for those flocs indicates that after flocculating the HA water at initial pH greater than 7.0 with PFC flocculant, the fractal dimensions of D2 (logA vs. logdL) and D3 (logVsphere vs. logdL) of PFC-HA floes decreased with the increase of PFC dosages, and PFC-HA floes showed a gradually looser structure. At the optimum dosage of PFC, the D2 (logA vs. logdL) values of the flocs show 14%-43% difference with their corresponding Dr, and they even had different tendency with the change of initial pH values. However, the D2 values of the floes formed at three different initial pH in HA solution had a same tendency with the corresponding Df. Based on fractal Frenkel-Halsey-HiU (FHH) adsorption and desorption equations, the pore surface fractal dimensions (Ds) for dried powders of PFC-HA flocs formed in HA water with initial pH 9.0 and 7.0 were all close to 2.9421, and the Ds values of flocs formed at initial pH 5.0 were less than 2.3746. It indicated that the pore surface fractal dimensions of PFC-HA floes dried powder mainly show the irregularity from the mesopore-size distribution and marcopore-size distribution.展开更多

In the method, a normalized orthogonal function of time variable t is first introduced to carry out the decomposition of a stochastic process and then a correlated matrix decomposition technique, which transforms a correlated random vector into a vector of standard uncorrelated random variables, is used to complete a double orthogonal decomposition of the stochastic processes. Considering the relationship between the Hartley transform and Fourier transform of a real-valued function, it is suggested that the first orthogonal expansion in the above process is carried out using the Hartley basis function instead of the trigonometric basis function in practical applications. The seismic ground motion is investigated using the above method. In order to capture the main probabilistic characteristics of the seismic ground motion, it is proposed to directly carry out the orthogonal expansion of the seismic displacements. The case study shows that the proposed method is feasible to represent the seismic ground motion with only a few random variables. In the second part of the paper, the probability density evolution method (PDEM) is employed to study the stochastic response of nonlinear structures subjected to earthquake excitations. In the PDEM, a completely uncoupled one-dimensional partial differential equation, the generalized density evolution equation, plays a central role in governing the stochastic seismic responses of the nonlinear structure. The solution to this equation will yield the instantaneous probability density function of the responses. Computational algorithms to solve the probability density evolution equation are described. An example, which deals with a nonlinear frame structure subjected to stochastic ground motions, is illustrated to validate the above approach.展开更多

文摘This study developed a new methodology for analyzing the risk level of marine spill accidents from two perspectives, namely, marine traffic density and sensitive resources.Through a case study conducted in Busan,South Korea, detailed procedures of the methodology were proposed and its scalability was confirmed. To analyze the risk from a more detailed and microscopic viewpoint, vessel routes as hazard sources were delineated on the basis of automated identification system(AIS)big data. The outliers and errors of AIS big data were removed using the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise algorithm, and a marine traffic density map was evaluated by combining all of the gridded routes.Vulnerability of marine environment was identified on the basis of the sensitive resource map constructed by the Korea Coast Guard in a similar manner to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration environmental sensitivity index approach. In this study, aquaculture sites, water intake facilities of power plants, and beach/resort areas were selected as representative indicators for each category. The vulnerability values of neighboring cells decreased according to the Euclidean distance from the resource cells. Two resulting maps were aggregated to construct a final sensitive resource and traffic density(SRTD)risk analysis map of the Busan–Ulsan sea areas. We confirmed the effectiveness of SRTD risk analysis by comparing it with the actual marine spill accident records. Results show that all of the marine spill accidents in 2018 occurred within 2 km of high-risk cells(level 6 and above). Thus,if accident management and monitoring capabilities are concentrated on high-risk cells, which account for only 6.45%of the total study area, then it is expected that it will be possible to cope with most marine spill accidents effectively.
文摘BACKGROUND:An increase in high-density lipoprotein(HDL)is well associated with a decreased cardiovascular risk, especially atherosclerosis.Recent studies suggest that lower levels of HDL may also be associated with an increased risk of sepsis and an increased rate of mortality in septic patients. However, this conclusion remains controversial.METHODS:MEDLINE,EMBASE,and CENTRAL databases were searched from inception to September 30,2019.All studies were conducted to evaluate the correlation of lipoprotein levels and the risk and outcomes of sepsis in adult patients. The primary outcomes were the risk and mortality of sepsis.RESULTS:Seven studies comprising 791 patients were included.Lower levels of HDL had no marked relevance with the risk of sepsis(odds radio[OR]for each 1 mg/dL increase,0.94;95%CI 0.86–1.02;P=0.078),whereas lower HDL levels were related to an increased mortality rate in septic patients(OR for below about median HDL levels,2.00;95%CI 1.23–3.24;P=0.005).CONCLUSION:This meta-analysis did not reveal a signifi cant association between lower HDL levels and an increase in the risk of sepsis, whereas it showed that lower HDL levels are associated with a higher mortality rate in septic adult patients. These findings suggest that HDL may be considered as a promising factor for the prevention and treatment of sepsis in the future.

文摘The local structure of an alternative Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-based perovskite ceramic is investigated. This finding of the formation energy and local structure configuration relationship can further extend a fundamental understanding of the role of BaTiO33 in stabilizing the perovskite phase in PbZn13Nb23O3-based materials, which in turn will lead to an improved preparation technique for desired electrical properties.
文摘The longitudinal structure function with shadowing correction according to the nonlinear effects of the gluon density behavior at low x is considered. The solution of the GLR-MQ evolution equation for the gluon density shows that the FL^g(x, Q2) behavior can be tamed by the singularity at low x values. Comparing our results with H1 data at R=4 GeV-1 shows that at very low x this behavior is completely tamed by taking shadowing correction into account.

文摘Objective: To study the evaluation value of three-dimensional finite element model analysis for bone mineral density (BMD) and bone metabolism activity in patients with osteoporosis. Conclusion: The three-dimensional finite element model analysis resultsof patients with osteoporosis can objectively reflect the femoral headBMD value and bone metabolism activity, and is a reliable way to evaluate the risk of long-term fractures.
文摘This paper presents the results of the characterization by thermogravimetric analysis of a new composite material called polymeric concrete. The new material melts when it is heated to 146°C and has the ability to be softened, processed and reprocessed with temperature and pressure changes, which make it possible to obtain molded pieces in the desired shape.
文摘Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by low bone mineral density (BMD) and micro-architectural changes in the bone tissue. The risk of osteoporosis is partly determined by genetic factors. The role of C677T polymorphism of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene has been investigated in postmenopausal osteoporosis. However, the relationship between MTHFR polymorphism and BMD is still controversial. We carried out a meta-analysis of 5,833 subjects to evaluate the association of MTHFR and BMD in postmenopausal women.Databases of MEDLINE,Web of Science,Scopus and CNKI were retrieved for all publications relating to MTHFR polymorphism and BMD in postmenopausal women.Five eligible studies were selected for meta-analysis.All these articles studied the association of MTHFR polymorphism and BMD of the femoral neck and lumbar spine in postmenopausal women. Our analysis suggested that postmenopausal women with the TT genotype had lower femoral neck BMD than the women with the CC/CT genotype, and the weighted mean difference (WMD) was-0.01 g/cm 2 [95% confidence interval (CI):(-0.01,-0.01),P 0.01].However,BMD of the lumbar spine of postmenopausal women with the TT genotype was not significantly different from that of women with the CC/CT genotype. In the random effects model, the WMD between the TT and TC/CC genotype was-0.01 g/cm 2 [95% CI:(-0.04,0.01),P=0.32].The C677T polymorphism of the MTHFR gene is associated with BMD of the femoral neck in postmenopausal women.Women with the TT genotype of the MTHFR gene have lower BMD,suggesting that the TT genotype may be a risk factor for postmenopausal osteoporosis.
文摘There are some limitations when we apply conventional methods to analyze the massive amounts of seismic data acquired with high-density spatial sampling since processors usually obtain the properties of raw data from common shot gathers or other datasets located at certain points or along lines. The field data application shows that seismic data analysis in spatial subsets is an effective method that may lead to a better discrimination among various wavefields and help us obtain more information.

文摘With the uncertainties related to operating conditions,in-service non-destructive testing(NDT) measurements and material properties considered in the structural integrity assessment, probabilistic analysis based on the failure assessment diagram(FAD) approach has recently become an important concern. However, the point density revealing the probabilistic distribution characteristics of the assessment points is usually ignored. To obtain more detailed and direct knowledge from the reliability analysis,an improved probabilistic fracture mechanics(PFM) assessment method is proposed.By integrating 2D kernel density estimation(KDE) technology into the traditional probabilistic assessment, the probabilistic density of the randomly distributed assessment points is visualized in the assessment diagram. Moreover,a modified interval sensitivity analysis is implemented and compared with probabilistic sensitivity analysis. The improved reliability analysis method is applied to the assessment of a high pressure pipe containing an axial internal semi-elliptical surface crack. The results indicate that these two methods can give consistent sensitivities of input parameters, but the interval sensitivity analysis is computationally more efficient.Meanwhile, the point density distribution and its contour are plotted in the FAD,thereby better revealing the characteristics of PFM assessment. This study provides a powerful tool for the reliability analysis of critical structures.

文摘The operation of integrated energy systems(IESs)is confronted with great challenges for increasing penetration rate of renewable energy and growing complexity of energy forms.Scenario generation is one of ordinary methods to alleviate the system uncertainties by extracting several typical scenarios to represent the original high-dimensional data. This paper proposes a novel representative scenario generation method based on the feature extraction of panel data. The original high-dimensional data are represented by an aggregated indicator matrix using principal component analysis to preserve temporal variation. Then, the aggregated indicator matrix is clustered by an algorithm combining density canopy and K-medoids.Together with the proposed scenario generation method,an optimal operation model of IES is established, where the objective is to minimize the annual operation costs considering carbon trading cost. Finally, case studies based on the data of Aachen,Germany in 2019 are performed. The results indicate that the adjusted rand index(ARI)and silhouette coefficient(SC)of the proposed method are 0.6153 and 0.6770,respectively,both higher than the traditional methods, namely K-medoids,K-means++,and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN),which means the proposed method has better accuracy. The error between optimal operation results of the IES obtained by the proposed method and all-year time series benchmark value is 0.1%,while the calculation time is reduced from 11029 s to 188 s,which verifies that the proposed method can be used to optimize operation strategy of IES with high efficiency without loss of accuracy.

文摘The fractal dimensions in different topological spaces of polyferric chloride-humic acid (PFC-HA) flocs, formed in flocculating different kinds of humic acids (HA) water at different initial pH (9.0, 7.0, 5.0) and PFC dosages, were calculated by effective densitymaximum diameter, image analysis, and N2 absorption-desorption methods, respectively. It indicated that the pore surface fractal dimensions of PFC-HA floes dried powder mainly show the irregularity from the mesopore-size distribution and marcopore-size distribution.

文摘The turbulence structure in the stirred tank with a deep hollow blade(semi-ellispe) disc turbine(HEDT) was investigated by using time-resolved particle image velocimetry(TRPIV) and traditional PIV.In the stirred tank, the turbulence generated by blade passage includes the periodic components and the random turbulent ones.Traditional PIV with angle-resolved measurement and TRPIV with wavelet analysis were both used to obtain the random turbulent kinetic energy as a comparison. The wavelet analysis method was successfully used in this work to separate the random turbulent kinetic energy. The distributions of the periodic kinetic energy and the random turbulent kinetic energy were obtained. In the impeller region, the averaged random turbulent kinetic energy was about 2.6 times of the averaged periodic one.The kinetic energies at different wavelet scales from a6 to d1 were also calculated and compared.TRPIV was used to record the sequence of instantaneous velocity in the impeller stream. The evolution of the impeller stream was observed clearly and the sequence of the vorticity field was also obtained for the identification of vortices. The slope of the energy spectrum was approximately-5/3 in high frequency representing the existence of inertial subrange and some isotropic properties in stirred tank. From the power spectral density(PSD) ,one peak existed evidently, which was located at f0(blade passage frequency) generated by the blade passage.

文摘Compensating for photovoltaic(PV)power forecast errors is an important function of energy storage systems. As PV power outputs have strong random fluctuations and uncertainty,it is difficult to satisfy the grid-connection requirements using fixed energy storage capacity configuration methods. In this paper,a method of configuring energy storage capacity is proposed based on the uncertainty of PV power generation.A k-means clustering algorithm is used to classify weather types based on differences in solar irradiance. The power forecast errors in different weather types are analyzed, and an energy storage system is used to compensate for the errors. The kernel density estimation is used to fit the distributions of the daily maximum power and maximum capacity requirements of the energy storage system;the power and capacity of the energy storage unit are calculated at different confidence levels. The optimized energy storage configuration of a PV plant is presented according to the calculated degrees of power and capacity satisfaction. The proposed method was validated using actual operating data from a PV power station. The results indicated that the required energy storage can be significantly reduced while compensating for power forecast errors.

文摘This paper introduces an orthogonal expansion method for general stochastic processes. An example, which deals with a nonlinear frame structure subjected to stochastic ground motions, is illustrated to validate the above approach.

文摘Random dynamic responses caused by the uncertainty of structural parameters of the coupled train-ballasted track-subgrade system under train loading can pose safety concerns to the train operation. This paper introduced a computational model for analyzing probabilistic dynamic responses of three-dimensional(3D)coupled train-ballasted track-subgrade system(TBTSS),where the coupling effects of uncertain rail irregularities, stiffness and damping properties of ballast and subgrade layers were simultaneously considered. The number theoretical method(NTM)was employed to design discrete points for the multi-dimensional stochastic parameters. The time-histories of stochastic dynamic vibrations of the TBSS with systematically uncertain structural parameters were calculated accurately and efficiently by employing the probability density evolution method(PDEM).The model-predicted results were consistent with those by the Monte Carlo simulation method.A sensitivity study was performed to assess the relative importance of those uncertain structural parameters, based on which a case study was presented to explore the stochastic probability evolution mechanism of such train-ballasted track-subgrade system.
