The upper surface of the plate is stress free with the prescribed surface temperature, while the lower surface of the plate rests on a rigid foundation and is thermally insulated. The study is carried out in the context of the generalized thermoelasticity proposed by Green and Naghdi. The governing equations for displacement and temperature fields are obtained in the Laplace-Fourier transform domain by applying the Laplace and Fourier transforms. The inversion of the double transform is done numerically. Numerical inversion of the Laplace transform is done based on the Fourier series expansion. Numerical computations are carried out for magnesium (Mg), and the results are presented graphically. The results for an isotropic material (Cu) are obtained numerically and presented graphically to be compared with those of a transversely isotropic material (Mg). The effect of the body forces is also studied.展开更多

The 132 members are forced by localized atmospheric heat sources distributed homogeneously over regions from 55°S to 55°N, each 10° latitude × 30° longitude in size. The atmospheric responses to all the heating constitute an ensemble to examine the relative contribution of each local heat source to the strength of the WNPSM. The result indicates that the combination of an atmospheric heating(cooling) source over the subtropical Northwest Pacific and a cooling(heating) source over the tropical Indian Ocean and the midlatitudes from China to the southern part of Japan is the pattern most effective at enhancing(weakening) the WNPSM.Besides, the optimal heat source pattern identified by the LBM simulations is similar to the observed atmospheric heating anomalies associated with WNPSM interannual variability. The results suggest that any external forcing that leads to a similar heating structure as the optimal thermal forcing pattern could lead to an anomalous WNPSM.展开更多

The power density distributions considered here are normal, exponential and parabolic. The sources model real heat sources like the welding arc, laser beam, electron beam, etc., the convection in the weld pool as well as the latent heat due to fusion and solidification. The parameters of the heat source models are unknown a priori and have to be evaluated by solving an inverse heat conduction problem. The functional-analytical technique for calculating 3D temperature fields in butt welding is developed. The proposed technique makes it possible to reduce considerably the total time for data input and solution. It is demonstrated with an example of laser beam welding of steel plates.展开更多

The moving heat source model and the Green function method are introduced to deal with the cryopreservation process of in vitro biomaterials. Exact solutions for the 3-D temperature transients of tissues under various boundary conditions, such as totally convective cooling, totally fixed temperature cooling and a hybrid between them on tissue surfaces, are obtained. Furthermore, the cryosurgical process in living tissues subject to freezing by a single or multiple cryoprobes is also analytically solved. A closed-form analytical solution to the bioheat phase change process is derived by considering contributions from blood perfusion heat transfer, metabolic heat generation, and heat sink of a cryoprobe. The present method is expected to have significant value for analytically solving complex bioheat transfer problems with phase change.展开更多

Due to the lack of scientific guidance for operating control strategy, the coefficient of performance (COP) of the system and units are still very low. In this paper, the running strategy of GWHP was studied. First, the groundwater thermal transfer calculation under slow heat transfixion and transient heat transfixion was established by calculating the heat transfer simulation software Flow Heat and using correction factor. Next, heating parameters were calculated based on the building heat load and the terminal equipment characteristic equation. Then, the energy consumption calculation model for units and pumps were established, based on which the optimization method and constraints were established. Finally, a field test on a GWHP system in Beijing was conducted and the model was applied. The new system operation optimization idea for taking every part of the GWHP into account that put forward in this paper has an important guiding significance to the actual operation of underground water source heat pump.展开更多

文摘Using 132-member experiments based on a linear baroclinic atmospheric model(LBM), this study investigates the optimal heat source forcing the interannual variability of the western North Pacific summer monsoon(WNPSM). The results suggest that any external forcing that leads to a similar heating structure as the optimal thermal forcing pattern could lead to an anomalous WNPSM.

文摘In this paper, the common heat source model of point and linear heat source in the numerical simulation of electron beam welding (EBW) were summarized and introduced. The combined point-linear heat source model was brought forward and to simulate the welding temperature fields of EBW and predicting the weld shape. The model parameters were put forward and regulated in the combined model, which included the ratio of point heat source to linear heat source Qpr and the distribution of linear heat source Lr. Based on the combined model, the welding temperature fields of EBW were investigated. The results show that the predicted weld shapes are conformable to those of the actual, the temperature fields are reasonable and correct by simulating with combined point-linear heat source model and the typical weld shapes are gained.

文摘Grinding is a crucial process in machining workpieces because it plays a vital role in achieving the desired precision and surface quality. However,a significant technical challenge in grinding is the potential increase in temperature due to high specific energy, which can lead to surface thermal damage. Therefore, ensuring control over the surface integrity of workpieces during grinding becomes a critical concern. This necessitates the development of temperature field models that consider various parameters, such as workpiece materials, grinding wheels, grinding parameters, cooling methods, and media,to guide industrial production. This study thoroughly analyzes and summarizes grinding temperature field models.First, the theory of the grinding temperature field is investigated, classifying it into traditional models based on a continuous belt heat source and those based on a discrete heat source, depending on whether the heat source is uniform and continuous.Through this examination,a more accurate grinding temperature model that closely aligns with practical grinding conditions is derived.Subsequently, various grinding thermal models are summarized, including models for the heat source distribution, energy distribution proportional coefficient, and convective heat transfer coefficient.Through comprehensive research, the most widely recognized, utilized, and accurate model for each category is identified. The application of these grinding thermal models is reviewed, shedding light on the governing laws that dictate the influence of the heat source distribution, heat distribution, and convective heat transfer in the grinding arc zone on the grinding temperature field. Finally, considering the current issues in the field of grinding temperature, potential future research directions are proposed. The aim of this study is to provide theoretical guidance and technical support for predicting workpiece temperature and improving surface integrity.
文摘The paper presents bounded volume heat sources and the corresponding functional-analytical expressions for the temperature field. It is demonstrated with an example of laser beam welding of steel plates.
文摘A three-dimensional simulation model for the plasma-MIG welding process, which takes the interaction between the plasma arc and MIG arc into account, is presented and the quasi-steady temperature fields on the workpiece are calculated with the model. The 10 mm-5A06 aluminum alloy is welded and the temperature fields are measured with the thermoelectric couple. The simulation results and measured results show that the biggest deviation of peak temperature between them is below 20 ℃, which indicates good coincidence between the simulation and measurement.
文摘The present paper is concerned with the wave propagation in a micropolar thermoelastic solid with distinct two temperatures under the effect of the magnetic field in the presence of the gravity field and an internal heat source. The formulation of the problem is applied in the context of the three-phase-lag model and Green-Naghdi theory without dissipation. The medium is a homogeneous isotropic thermoelastic in the half-space.The exact expressions of the considered variables are obtained by using normal mode analysis.Comparisons are made with the results in the two theories in the absence and presence of the magnetic field as well as the two-temperature parameter.A comparison is also made in the two theories for different values of an internal heat source.
文摘A three-dimensional heat flux model for deep-penetrating electron beam welding(EBW)is established to mathematically describe the physical heat generation process during interaction between electrons and the dynamic molten pool free surface.Monte Carlo method is used to determine the electron-target interaction, and random distribution of initial electrons, progressive trajectory tracing and electron backscattering models are used to describe the spatial distribution of electrons absorption. The model is verified in preset keyholes and applied in the simulation on electron beam welding process, and the calculated bead shape shows a good consistency with experimental results.

文摘This paper simulated the optimal refrigerant charge inventory of a refrigeration system in air-conditioning operation and heat-pump operation respectively, and studied the refrigerant control strategies in this system. The void fraction in two-phase fluid region was calculated by Harms model. And based on distributed parameter model and Harms model, the refrigerant charge inventory in condenser and evaporator were calculated and analyzed in air-conditioning conditions and heat-pump conditions, respectively. The calculating results of different refrigerant mass between refrigeration and heating conditions indicate that the optimal refrigerant charge inventory in heat-pump conditions is lower than that in air-conditioning conditions. To avoid the decrease of COP due to the surplus refrigerant in heating conditions,we introduced the liquid reservoir control method and associate capillary control method. Both of them could increase the heating capacity of the air-source heat pump. The difference of optimal refrigerant charge inventory in air-conditioning and heat-pump system can be controlled by the liquid reservoir or the associate capillary.

文摘Analytically solving a three-dimensional (3-D) bioheat transfer problem with phase change during a freezing process is extremely difficult but theoretically important. The present method is expected to have significant value for analytically solving complex bioheat transfer problems with phase change.
文摘The ground-water heat-pump system (GWHP) provides a high efficient way for heating and cooling while consuming a little electrical energy. The new system operation optimization idea for taking every part of the GWHP into account that put forward in this paper has an important guiding significance to the actual operation of underground water source heat pump.
