In this process. Si is used as an in-situ liquid forming phase and it is favorable for both the solid-liquid synthesis and the densification of Ti3SiC2 rainies. The present work demonstrated that the temperature fluctuation synthesis/simultaneous densification process is one of the most effective and simple methods for the preparation of Ti3SiC2 bulk materials providing relatively low synthesis temperature. short reaction time; and simultaneous synthesis and densification. This work also showed the capability to control the microstructure, e.g., the preferred orientation, of the bulk Ti3SiC2 materials simply by applying the hot pressing pressure at different Stages of the temperature fluctuation process. The resins were characterized by means of FTIR, IH NMR and 13C NMR spectra, their thermal properties and curing properties were investigated and their corresponding films were determined. The results show that the thermal stability and storage stability of the resins were influenced by the types of silane monomers containing dif- ferent carbon atomicities of organic group. The thermal stability of the titanium-doped silicone resin with a molar ratio of silane monomer B(n-propyl triethoxysilane) to silane monomer C(n-octyl triethoxysilane) being 1:1 is superior to that of the resin with a molar ratio of silane monomer B to silane monomer C being 1:3. However, the storage stability of the former is inferior to that of the latter. This work also showed that the synthesized titanium-doped silicone resins have the highest thermal stability up to 450--500℃ with an atomicity molar ratio of 1:4 of titanium to silicon in the reactants. But the best storage stability of the resin prepared from the reactants with an atomicity molar ratio of 1:6[n(Ti):n(Si)] was obtained. The effect of the type and content of curing agent on the curing properties of the resin was also studied. Moreover, thermal mechanism and curing mechanism were proposed in this work.展开更多

The surface structure was characterized by XRD, SEM, XRF, EDS and FTIR. The bond strength of the coating was investigated. The results show that the depositing thickness and the images of Si-HA coating can be changed with the variation of deposition time. The XRD spectra of Ti/Si-HA coatings show the characteristic diffraction peaks of HA, and the incorporation of silicon changes the lattice parameter of the crystal. The FTIR spectra shows that the most notable effect of silicon substitution is the decrease of intensities of —OH and PO43- groups with the silicon contents increasing. XRD and EDS element analyses present that the content of silicon in the coating increases with increasing silicon concentration in the suspension. The bioactive TiO2 coating formed may improve the bond strength of the coatings. The interaction of Ti/Si-HA coating with BSA is much greater than that of Ti/HA coating, suggesting that the incorporation of silicon in HA is significant to improve the bioactive performance of HA.展开更多

In this study, aluminum foam composite was fabricated using aluminum powder 6061 and silicon carbide (SiC) powder. Titanium hydride (TiH2) was used as the foaming agent. Cold compact followed by hot pressing (sintering) was used to produce the composite precursor. Foaming was carried out, following the sintering process, by heating the aluminum composite precursor to a temperature above the melting point of aluminum (Al). The linear expansion of the foam and the percent porosity were found to increase as the SiC percentage decreased from 10 to 4%, whereas the density got lower. The percent porosity and linear expansion were both found to increase as the percentage of the foaming agent was increased from 0.5 to 1.5%. Compression stress was evaluated for two different porosity values (40% and 47%), and found to be higher for the samples with lower percent porosity at the same strain value. Effect of shape memory alloy fiber, made of nickel and titanium (NiTi), on the mechanical properties was also investigated. The compression stress was higher, in the densification region, for the samples in which NiTi was used.展开更多

Polysulfonamide (PSA) was synthesized with 4, 4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS) and terephthaloyl chloride (TPC) in the common solvent N, N-Dimethyl- -acetamide (DMAc). Nano filler is a certain nano titanium oxide modified by silicon oxide (TMS), which plays the role of UV resistance additives. Properties of the novel composite materials were characterized by Atomic Force microscopy (AFM), thermal gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Ultraviolet Spectroscopy. AFM had showed the sizes and distributions of TMS particles in the nanocomposite. Ultraviolet Spectroscopy for the nanocomposites showed a large absorption in UV band. TGA showed the decomposition temperature was increased over ten degrees with 0.5% wt TMS for this nanocomposite compared with pure PSA.展开更多
