Evolutionary Model to Traditional Culture and Program Organization

To study the relationship between the evolutions of Chinese Traditional Culture （CTC） and program organization, an outline of the CTC is generalized by reviewing literature, and which is also compartmentalized into two aspects according to economic philosophy views： traditional philosophy aspect and value judgment. Based on three dimensions, which are the philosophy aspect （P）, program organization model （P）, and value judgment from economic philosophy views （ V）, and this evolution sequence, the CTC＇s influence on the program organization model in the evolution is discussed; then the cultural spatial evolution model for program organization based on the three dimensions （PPV） is constructed. From analyzing the plane matrix of P-P and empirical investigating on the organizational model of construction enterprises, it is found that the ancient Chinese government organizational model still has prevailing influence on the modern program organizational model in China.

Analysis on the Cultivation of Modern Chinese Farmers' Values from the Perspective of Traditional Political Culture

Farmers in traditional China have formed the cultural psychology of being reluctant to move from native land and hate to change during the long- term closed production and life. This has exerted negative effect on the values cultivation of farmers today,who possess weak democratic consciousness,low legal spirit and cultural quality as well as strong antagonistic psychology. Measures should be carried out to cultivate their modern values. Firstly,construction of villagers' self-governance system should be stressed. Secondly,political socialization should be perfected to improve farmers' political culture. Furthermore,channels of political participation should be widened in order to gradually promote the ordered political participation of farmers.

Renewal Design of Marketplace Culture Spaces in Traditional Blocks Based on Catalyst Theory: A Case Study of Pengzhen Town in Shuangliu District of Chengdu

In this study, three kinds of spaces with different marketplace atmospheres, namely, the tea-drinking space, the commercial space and the courtyard space, are created with the aid of the marketplace culture characteristics of the local blocks in Pengzhen Town and the catalyst theory, so as to achieve the purpose of activating the traditional blocks in Pengzhen Town. The design takes the marketplace culture as the entry point and the most vigorous points as the catalyst points to create a living space with strong marketplace flavor, thereby activating the economic and social activities of the traditional block and promotes the sustainable renewal of the cultural space.

Characteristics and Value of Traditional Lotus Culture System in Guangchang,Jiangxi Province

Jiangxi Guangchang traditional lotus culture system was selected into the fourth batch of China's important agricultural cultural heritage in 2017.The system consists of three parts:lotus,lotus cultivation techniques and lotus culture.It has notable characteristics of ancient origin,regional distribution,system complexity,biodiversity,advanced technology and extensive influence,and has ten kinds of value,i.e.,edible value,medical value,economic value,social value,ecological value,cultural value,tourism value,popular science value,scientific research value and educational value.

Envisioning the Profile of Chinese Culture——from the Perspective of the Social Value Theory

For a few decades China has undergone an enduring, drastic and complicated transformation. The structure and form of Chinese culture has been profoundly shaped and re-shaped during this process. With careful analysis of the history and the actualities, this paper presents a sketch of Chinese culture that highlights three significant traits; an elegant temperament featuring both classicality and novelty, an intrinsic value focusing on nature and freedom, and an encompassing structure marked by harmonious diversity. A new Chinese culture has already revealed her profile against the sunglow at the dawn of the new era. Beautiful and promising as it is, Chinese people believe that she deserves being heartily applauded, warmly welcomed, and boldly embraced.

An Analysis on Cultural Values of Companies from China and the United States——Based on Hofstede's Cultural Dimension Theory

Nowadays, commercial competition is becoming fiercer and fiercer, and with the globalization proceeding, when a company tries to expand, promote and develop, it needs to adapt itself to the open business society while not losing its own culture. Since English has been widely used in the world, an effective and suitable English website is essential for a company to use as a kind of advertisement and publicity, where its cultural values are presented.With companies' websites as subjects and Hofstede's cultural dimension theory as the theoretical basis, this study, through text content and data analysis of company profiles,strategies and cultures, tries to find out the tendency of Chinese and American companies on the five cultural value dimensions,which is power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism, masculinity and long-term orientation. Accordingly, constructive suggestions are put forward to help appease and avoid misunderstandings, and promote business communication and collaboration.

An Analysis of China's Four Traditional Festivals from the Perspective of the Theory of Cultural Functions

This paper analyzes the cultural elements of China's four traditional festivals from the perspective of the Theory of Cultural Functions, which presents in detail the forming of traditional festivals, varied festival traditions and good expectations held by people toward lives. Traditional conditioning and conditions in professional Malaysian women talk

Cross-cultural differences have often been seen as an element contributing to the variations in speech acts and this has affected the differences in interpretations of meanings. Each individual contributes to this difference as a result of his/her variation in upbringing. His/her values, beliefs, traditions, norms and standards are greatly influenced by his/her culture. Cultural differences are not only seen through tangible artifacts and daily practices, but also in the articulation of thoughts. This paper will present findings from the analysis of ＂lunch-talks＂ data involving four professional Malaysian women from the two dominant ethnic communities in Malaysia： Malay and Chinese. The ＂lunch-talks＂ are free flowing semi-formal discourse events with topics ranging from family to politics to work-related issues. Data were recorded with the informants＇ consent and are then transcribed. Our findings indicate that Malaysian women professionals are open, direct and forward in their talk as a result of the influence of cultural and religious conditioning and conditions. With higher education and wider exposure, they are also less inhibited by traditional norms. It would seem that educational exposure and the level of experience play a role in shifting Malaysian women from being demure to being more forward. Nevertheless, some remnants of traditional, cultural and religious values are interlaced within the forwardness. This study will provide some insights into the role of culture in communication. Evidence is drawn from the way the two ethnic groups perceive, interpret, and maintain respect for each other.

基于数字博物馆接触的青年传统文化认同

数字文博产品在吸引青年走进“云端”博物馆的同时,也带领他们走近中华优秀传统文化。为探索青年群体从数字博物馆的接触中生成传统文化认同,刻画其表征、影响因素与过程,论文以“云游敦煌”“数字故宫”等17个代表性数字博物馆为样本,以QQ空间中的大规模评论数据为基准材料,采用混合研究设计:第一阶段,利用扎根理论对相关评论内容进行质化研究;第二阶段,随机招募到全国4365个有效青年样本参加线上问卷调查。研究结果显示:数字博物馆接触是促成青年传统文化认同的有力途径。其中,数字博物馆文化情境中的文化展品与文化表征耦合构成吸引青年的基础条件,启动环节在于唤醒青年主体的具身联觉,加工环节在于激活个体内隐文化心理加工过程以形成更深层次的文化感知,最终青年传统文化认同生成或强化的表现主要呈现于认知认同、情感涌现和行为实践三个方面。此外,与原有文化印象的比较和集体文化记忆的勾连,作为调节因素共同影响着青年传统文化认同结果。

价值观是个人或群体对人生、社会及世界的认知与情感的一部分,在社会文化上有着鲜明的体现。以Hofstede文化五维度理论对内蒙古青年价值观的解析发现:当代内蒙古青年价值取向由重视集体性价值转向追求个体性价值,缩小权力差距的意愿增长,追求事业成功与物质成就的刚性特征明显,不确定性规避的取向较高,传统社会显著的长期取向逐渐向短期取向转变。

Perceptions of Owners on the Roles and Future of Bamboo-Tree Gardens in the Agricultural Landscape of the Upper Citarum Basin, West Java-Indonesia

We studied human perceptions on the management of bamboo-tree gardens in two villages with contrasting agroecological conditions in the upper Citarum basin. We undertook interviews to reveal perceptions on the tenure, function, and management strategies of multi-layered agroforest. Owners in a village located lower in the basin perceived the gardens more positively than those in an upland village, where market pressures were felt more keenly and for a longer period. There was not always a direct correlation between perceptions and behavior with respect to bamboo-tree garden management. However, we concluded that an understanding of human perceptions could provide valuable insight to the process of formulating strategies that might be effective in minimizing the conversion of bamboo-tree gardens to more intensive and less ecologically diverse agricultural systems. Specifically, since the villagers retained a strong cultural perception of the heritage value of the bamboo-tree gardens, they would likely be responsive to conservation efforts that increased the economic value of the gardens and reduced the opportunity cost of not converting them to production that is more intensive or other land uses.

Lavinia Fontana’s Prudence:A Personification of Wisdom

The first section of this essay deals with an iconographical analysis of Lavinia Fontana’s(1552-1614)Prudence or Personification of Wisdom of 1590,while the second part provides an iconological interpretation,demonstrating Fontana’s application of emblematic significations.This painting is presently on display at the Galerie Maison d’Art in Monte Carlo.At this time there is lack of knowledge about the patronage of this commission,except from the art gallery’s records showing that it acquired the painting from a private collection in New York.
