Inhibition of growth and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer targeted by Traditional Chinese Medicine Tubeimu in orthotopic mice models

Objective： Triple-negative breast cancer（TNBC） is highly invasive and metastatic, which is in urgent need of transformative therapeutics. Tubeimu（TBM）, the rhizome of Bolbostemma paniculatum（Maxim.） Franquet, is one of the Chinese medicinal herbs used for breast diseases since the ancient times. The present study evaluated the efficacy, especially the anti-metastatic effects of the dichloromethane extract of Tubeimu（ETBM） on TNBC orthotopic mouse models and cell lines.Methods： We applied real-time imaging on florescent orthotopic TNBC mice model and tested cell migration and invasion abilities with MDA-MB-231 cell line. Digital gene expression sequencing was performed and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes（KEGG） analysis applied to explore the pathways influenced by ETBM.Moreover, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reactions（q RT-PCR） and Western blot were delivered to confirm the gene expression changes.Results： ETBM exhibited noticeable control on tumor metastasis and growth of TNBC tumors with no obvious toxicity. In compliance with this, it also showed inhibition of cell migration and invasion in vitro. Its impact on the changed biological behavior in TNBC may be a result of decreased expression of integrin β1（ITGβ1）, integrin β8（ITGβ8） and Rho GTPase activating protein 5（ARHGAP5）, which disabled the focal adhesion pathway and caused change in cell morphology.Conclusions： This study reveals that ETBM has anti-metastatic effects on MDA-MB-231-GFP tumor and may lead to a new therapeutic agent for the integrative treatment of highly invasive TNBC.

Wavelet Decomposition Impacts on Traditional Forecasting Time Series Models

This investigative study is focused on the impact of wavelet on traditional forecasting time-series models,which significantly shows the usage of wavelet algorithms.Wavelet Decomposition(WD)algorithm has been combined with various traditional forecasting time-series models,such as Least Square Support Vector Machine(LSSVM),Artificial Neural Network(ANN)and Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines(MARS)and their effects are examined in terms of the statistical estimations.The WD has been used as a mathematical application in traditional forecast modelling to collect periodically measured parameters,which has yielded tremendous constructive outcomes.Further,it is observed that the wavelet combined models are classy compared to the various time series models in terms of performance basis.Therefore,combining wavelet forecasting models has yielded much better results.

Effect of Internet+continuous midwifery service model on psychological mood and pregnancy outcomes for women with highrisk pregnancies

BACKGROUND There are many drawbacks to the traditional midwifery service management model,which can no longer meet the needs of the new era.The Internet+continuous midwifery service management model extends maternal management from prenatal to postpartum,in-hospital to out-of-hospital,and offline to online,thereby improving maternal and infant outcomes.Applying the Internet+continuous midwifery service management model to manage women with highrisk pregnancies(HRP)can improve their psycho-emotional opinion and,in turn,minimize the risk of adverse maternal and/or fetal outcomes.AIM To explore the effectiveness of a midwife-led Internet+continuous midwifery service model for women with HRP.METHODS We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 439 women with HRP who underwent prenatal examination and delivered at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital(affiliated to the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine)from April to December 2022.Among them,239 pregnant women underwent routine obstetric management,and 200 pregnant women underwent Internet+continuous midwifery service mode management.We used the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory,Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale,and analysis of delivery outcomes to compare psychological mood and the incidence of adverse delivery outcomes between the two groups.RESULTS The data showed that in early pregnancy,the anxiety and depression levels of the two groups were similar;the levels gradually decreased as pregnancy progressed,and the decrease in the continuous group was more significant[31.00(29.00,34.00)vs 34.00(32.00,37.00),8.00(6.00,9.00)vs 12.00(10.00,13.00),P<0.05].The maternal self-efficacy level and strategy for weight gain management were better in the continuous group than in the traditional group,and the effective rate of midwifery service intervention in the continuous group was significantly higher than in the control group[267.50(242.25,284.75)vs 256.00(233.00,278.00),74.00(69.00,78.00)vs 71.00(63.00,78.00),P<0.05].The incidence of adverse delivery outcomes in pregnant women and newborns and fear of maternal childbirth were lower in the continuous group than in the traditional group,and nursing satisfaction was higher[10.50%vs 18.83%,8.50%vs 15.90%,24.00%vs 42.68%,89.50%vs 76.15%,P<0.05].CONCLUSION The Internet+continuous midwifery service model promotes innovation through integration and is of great significance for improving and promoting maternal and child health in HRP.

Efficiency of Iranian forest industry based on DEA models

Data Envelopment Analysis （DEA） is a mathematical tech- nique to assess relative efficiencies of decision making units （DMUs）. The efficiency of 14 Iranian forest companies and forest management units was investigated in 2010. Efficiency of the companies was esti- mated by using a traditional DEA model and a two-stage DEA model. Traditional DEA models consider all DMU activities as a black box and ignore the intermediate products, while two-stage models address inter- mediate processes. LINGO software was used for analysis. Overall pro- duction was divided into to processes for analyses by the two-stage model, timber harvest and marketing. Wilcoxon＇s signed-rank test was used to identify the differences of average efficiency in the harvesting and marketing sub-process. Weak performance in the harvesting sub-process was the cause of low efficiency in 2010. Companies such as Neka Chob and Kelardasht proved efficient at timber harvest, and Neka Chob forest company scored highest in overall efficiency. Finally, the reference units identified according to the results of two-stage DEA analysis.

The Model of Integration of Traditional Medicine with Modern Medicine in Hospitals of Traditional Medicine in Vietnam:Present Status and Prospective Plan

Vietnam has a 4000-year old traditional system of pharmaco-medicine which was founded during the Hung King era （2879-257 B.C.）. Vietnamese traditional medicine （TM） came from the society and was developed during the long years of living, working and struggling for existence among the Vietnamese people among 54 ethnic groups under extremely severe natural conditions, conflicts, and interaction with local neighboring nations such as China, Laos, Cambodia, india, etc. All of those form the foundations to shape the diversity, abundance and specialty of Vietnamese TM. Valuable experiences in TM have been transmitted from generation to generation, which is an important part of Vietnamese culture.

Vibration characteristics simulation and comparison of traditional cab system model and seat–cab coupled model for trucks

To define the application fields of the traditional cab system model and the seat–cab coupled model,this paper mainly aims to investigate the differences of the vibration characteristics of the two models.First,the two models and their motion equations were introduced.Then,based on the mechanical parameters of the seat and cab system for a truck,the transmissibility characteristics of the two models were analyzed.The results show that the traditional model can relatively accurately predict the pitch and roll vibration characteristics of the real seat–cab system.However,it overvalues the vertical vibration transmitted from the front suspensions of the cab.Third,the typical excitation conditions and the measuring points were selected.Finally,under the typical excitation conditions,the dynamic responses of the measuring points were calculated.The results show that under the vertical excitation condition,the dynamic responses of the two models have obvious differences.Under the roll excitation condition and the pitch excitation condition,the roll responses and the pitch responses of the cab between the two models show almost no obvious difference.Under the random excitation condition,the vertical acceleration responses have relatively larger deviations between the two models,however,the angular acceleration responses are almost the same.For the preliminary design of the cab system,the traditional cab system model can be used.However,for the accurate design and the optimization of the seat–cab system,the seat–cab coupled model is recommended.

The Comprehensive Efficiency and Diverse Models of a Traditional Street

This article discusses its cultural background, its comprehen-sive efficiency and diverse models and problems noteworthy in de-sign. In recent years, the traditional-styled street (hereinafter re-ferred to as traditional street) of has emerged in China. Some wererenovated, some newly built, some imitated ancient styles andothers were restored to what they were before (restored to whatthey were in the initial period of or before liberation), the construc-tion techniques were different, but their aims were similar.However, different people have expressed different opinions aboutthis, some praised it, others censured it, so the public opinions arenot uniform. For example, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held inTianjin for the renovation of the Ancient Cultural Street near theTianhou Palace in Tianjin, the news was played up by local news-papers, it was really a scene of bustle and excitement, people in theconstruction circle, however, made no reaction to it....This culturalstreet on which the construction circle made no comments is to theliking of ordinary local people. This street is seething with activitywith people bustling about all the year round. As reactions to thematter are so sharply contrast, how can the matter be regarded asunimportant. It’s better for the construction circle to probe, from va-rious angles, into the mechanism for the emergence of the tradition-al street and ways for its development than to evade the matter.

A GLOBAL SPECTRAL MODEL WITH VARIABLE POLES AND ITS APPLICATION TO THE SHALLOW-WATER EQUATIONS

Since we find out that the global spectral model with trapezoidal truncation has higher resolution in high latitudes(polar cap)than in low latitudes,this paper presents a global spectral model with variable poles which can be located at the center of interested area.The transform methods from traditional global spectral model to the new model are given and applied to a shallow-water equation model.The control ex- periments for 72h predictions were carried out.The“northern pole”in the transformed model was located at 15°N,135°E.And the results showed that the predictions of weather systems in the area around the“new pole”(the polar cap,latitudes >60°)were better than those by the traditional model and the root mean square errors were improved.

Inhibition of Yuyihe Powder on Tumor Growth in Mice Models of Sarcoma 180

Objective To explore the antitumor effect of Yuyihe Powder（Yu Yi He San,YYHS） and its antitumor mechanism.Methods After treatment,tumor weight,immune apparatus weight,the life span of transplanted animals,spleen lymphocyte proliferation assays,and IL-2 concentration in mouse serum were recorded or detected.Results YYHS showed strong antitumor ability.Compared with control group,mid-dose YYHS（1.0g/kg） could inhibit the tumor growth,prolong the life span of S180-bearing mice to some extent,significantly increase the thymic and splenic indices of S180 mice,and strongly promote the secretion of IL-2 in blood;The inhibitory rate on tumor growth and life prolongation rate were 37.1%and 38.37%,respectively.Conclusion YYHS could not only significantly inhibit the growth of S180 cells,but also markedly prolong the survival time of S180 bearing mice.The mechanism of antitumor effect could obviously enhance immunologic function of the S180 bearing mice to inhibit the growth of S180 cells.
