The progress of economy and social development is the driving force of translation research and practice.With the deepening of global development and cooperation,global ecology and green concept has become a topic of ...The progress of economy and social development is the driving force of translation research and practice.With the deepening of global development and cooperation,global ecology and green concept has become a topic of concern and is capturing increasing worldwide attention.Under this circumstances,green development has become the key to building global ecological civilization.“Strengthening ecological consciousness and green consciousness,shouldering ecological responsibility”has also become the main theme of the times.In response to this green trend,Green Translation lays stress on the green concept,green behaviour,and the green value in translation practice.The flower images,which take up a large proportion of plant images in Tang poetry,are of high ecological value and significance.This paper takes the Translation of 300 Tang Poems as the research subject,conducts a study on the image rendering of flowers in Tang poetry from the three aspects of Green Translation:language ecology,cultural ecology and communicative ecology.展开更多
The transability of poems has been a heated debate.Actually,there is no problem in transforming one language to anoth⁃er.However,the successful transformation rests with that the translation can get the identical aest...The transability of poems has been a heated debate.Actually,there is no problem in transforming one language to anoth⁃er.However,the successful transformation rests with that the translation can get the identical aesthetics effect of source texts.It is no doubt that translation process plays a vital role.This paper will analyze and study the translations of chrysanthemum poems in Dreams of Red Mansion from the perspective of Roger T·Bell’s cognitive schema,based on two editions,the translation of Yang Xianyi and Yang Gladys and the translation of David Hawkes.The analysis gives rises a conclusion that the poetic beauty(the liter⁃ary grace containing in poems),disposition(the personality hiding behind poems)and omen(the destiny implying in poems)can be interactively processed in syntactic,semantic and pragmatic levels if the content and meaning of source text and target text can be transmitted equally.展开更多
In the summer of 2023,Zhang Zhizhong’s Reading English Literature to Translate Classical Chinese Poems got published as one of the“Comparative Literature and World Literature Research Series”edited by Cao Shunqing....In the summer of 2023,Zhang Zhizhong’s Reading English Literature to Translate Classical Chinese Poems got published as one of the“Comparative Literature and World Literature Research Series”edited by Cao Shunqing.It presents Zhang’s latest theory and praxis of translating classical Chinese poems.As a kind of rewriting,Zhang’s translations are similar to modern English poems—with creative expressions in contemporary English,the enjambments from free verses,the form of concrete poetry,and the artistic conceptions of classical Chinese poetry,but without the rhymes in original works.How this poetry translation as rewriting generates in the constraints of ideology,poetics,and patronage is to be analyzed in the light of AndréLefevere’s rewriting theory.By examining the non-textual factors related to Zhang’s rewriting,it aims to reveal how this rewriting,as an experimental approach to poetry translation,can shed light on the global circulation of Chinese poetry.展开更多
