In most cases translators do so in order to make the target text understood more easily by the readers of the target language. But the result is worse quite often, because it usually affects correct transmission of the source text as a whole, what's even worse, it will affect the correct grasp of the artistic conception and figures of the source text. And in other cases it is impossible to make source cultural images reappear in the target text. This paper provides some sound examples and reviews of the above.展开更多

From theoretical and numerical simulations, we find the space translation invariance of the bunching effect is a key point for the ghost imaging realization. Experimentally, we create the orderly phase-correlated discrete sources which can realize high-visibility second-order ghost imaging than the result with chaotic sources. Effective translation of images is crucial to the grasp of original meanings in a poem. As aesthetic beauty is the primary concern in poetry, the conveyance of beauty in image has a direct impact in translation. To analyze translation strategies of imagery beauty, the theory of"translation levels"by Xu Jun is adopted as a criterion in comparing variant English versions of CCP in the aesthetic level. Images are selected from Seven-character quatrains typified for abundant sources of images, and features of images are put forward at the aesthetic level. Through the analysis, images are rendered by recreation of the sensuous and emotional beauty.展开更多

Later, it's used as a term in literary criticism referring to the authors' talent, qualities, and their work styles. Poetry, as a language form concentrating thoughts and feelings, is the best form reflecting the various changes of"Qi" (spirit). "Qi" (spirit) combines the style, imagery and charm of a poem in a union, translation of the poem should be close to such a combination. Translation of"Qi" (spirit) is a pursuit of translating poetry which is based on translation of sense and image, but it may focus more on the wording technique with a wide insight on the original poem including the meaning and the tone of the poem and the author's thoughts and feelings, focusing on an overall effect of appreciation.展开更多
