The strategy...A layered network model for optical transport networks is proposed in this paper,which involves Internet Protocol(IP) ,Synchronous Digital Hierarchy(SDH) and Wavelength Division Mul-tiplexing(WDM) layers. The strategy of Dynamic Joint Routing and Resource Allocation(DJRRA) and its algorithm description are also presented for the proposed layered network model. DJRRA op-timizes the bandwidth usage of interface links between different layers and the logic links inside all layers. The simulation results show that DJRRA can reduce the blocking probability and increase network throughput effectively,which is in contrast to the classical separate sequential routing and resource allocation solutions.展开更多
Through integrating advanced communication and data processing technologies into smart vehicles and roadside infrastructures,the Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)has evolved as a promising paradigm for improving ...Through integrating advanced communication and data processing technologies into smart vehicles and roadside infrastructures,the Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)has evolved as a promising paradigm for improving safety,efficiency of the transportation system.However,the strict delay requirement of the safety-related applications is still a great challenge for the ITS,especially in dense traffic environment.In this paper,we introduce the metric called Perception-Reaction Time(PRT),which reflects the time consumption of safety-related applications and is closely related to road efficiency and security.With the integration of the incorporating information-centric networking technology and the fog virtualization approach,we propose a novel fog resource scheduling mechanism to minimize the PRT.Furthermore,we adopt a deep reinforcement learning approach to design an on-line optimal resource allocation scheme.Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed schemes is able to reduce about 70%of the RPT compared with the traditional approach.展开更多

In existing LTE standards, all Allocation Units (AUs) allocated to any user must adopt the s...This study focuses on resource block allocation issue in the downlink transmission systems of the Long Term Evolution (LTE). In existing LTE standards, all Allocation Units (AUs) allocated to any user must adopt the same Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS), which is determined by the AU with the worst channel condition. Despite its simplicity, this strategy incurs significant performance degradation since the achievable system throughput is limited by the AUs having the worst channel quality. To address this issue, a two-step resource block allocation algorithm is proposed in this paper. The algorithm first allocates AUs to each user according to the users' priorities and the number of their required AUs. Then, a re-allocation mechanism is introduced. Specifically, for any given user, the AUs with the worst channel condition are removed. In this manner, the users may adopt a higher MCS level, and the achievable data rate can be increased. Finally, all the unallocated AUs are assigned among users without changing the chosen MCSs, and the total throughput of the system is further enhanced. Simulation results show that thanks to the proposed algorithm, the system gains higher throughput without adding too many?complexities.展开更多
