This work represents a 3 D numerical study of the effects of carbon nanotube(CNT)-water nanofluids on the double diffusive convection inside the triangular pyramid solar still.This numerical investigation is performed for wide ranges of governing parameters such as buoyancy ratio(-10≤N≤0),volumetric fraction of nanoparticles(0≤Φ≤0.05) and Rayleigh number(10^(3)≤Ra≤10^(5)).The results are presented in terms of flow structure,temperature field,heat and mass transfer rates variations.It was found that the buoyancy ratio can be considered as an optimizing parameter for the heat and mass transfer,and the use of CNT has a positive effect on the solar still performances. 展开更多

On the eve of the occurrence of geological hazards,part of the rock and soil body begins to burst,rub,and fracture,generating infrasound signals propagating outward.3D advanced positioning of the landslide has remained unsolved,which is important for disaster prevention.Through the Fourier transform and Hankel transform of the wave equation in cylindrical coordinates,this work established a three-dimensional axisymmetric sound field model based on normal waves,and designed a 4-element helix triangular pyramid array with vertical and horizontal sampling capabilities.Based on this,the three-dimensional matching localization algorithm of infrasound for geological hazards is proposed.Applying the algorithm to the infrasound signal localization of rock and soil layers,it was found that the helix triangular pyramid array can achieve accurate estimation of depth and distance with a smaller number of array elements than the traditional array,and may overcome the azimuth symmetry ambiguity.This study shows the application prospects of this method for predicting geohazards position several hours in advance. 展开更多

The work presented previously by the authors(Cai and Liou,1982)has been extended in this paper. By making use of our improved model the calculations on scattering phase matrices of hexagonal prism ice crystals(HPIC)have been conducted for monodisperse and polydisperse systems.Compared with the model of Cai and Liou,the required computational quantity is decreased by about two orders of magni- tude and the errors of results are less for the new model.Meanwhile,the scattering phase matrices of triangular pyramid ice crystals(TPIC)are also computed in the paper,and the comparison between the scatterings of the two forms of ice crystals is performed. 展开更多
