Dual-function protective layer for highly reversible Zn anode

The thermodynamic instability of zinc anodes in aqueous electrolytes leads to issues such as corrosion,hydrogen evolution reactions(HER), and dendrite growth, severely hindering the practical application of zinc-based aqueous energy storage devices. To address these challenges, this work proposes a dualfunction zinc anode protective layer, composed of Zn-Al-In layered double oxides(ILDO) by rationally designing Zn-Al layered double hydroxides(Zn-Al LDHs) for the first time. Differing from previous works on the LDHs coatings, firstly, the ILDO layer accelerates zinc-ion desolvation and also captures and anchors SO_(4)^(2-). Secondly, the in-situ formation of the Zn-In alloy phase effectively lowers the nucleation energy barrier, thereby regulating zinc nucleation. Consequently, the zinc anode with the ILDO protective layer demonstrates long-term stability exceeding 1900 h and low voltage hysteresis of 7.5 m V at 0.5 m A cm^(-2) and 0.5 m A h cm^(-2). Additionally, it significantly enhances the rate capability and cycling performance of Zn@ILDO//MnO_(2) full batteries and Zn@ILDO//activated carbon zinc-ion hybrid capacitors.This simple and effective dual-function protective layer strategy offers a promising approach for achieving high-performance zinc-ion batteries. 展开更多

Alumina nanostructures were obtained by two-step anodization process.The porous anodic aluminum oxide(AAO)membranes were anodized in oxalic acid,which was subsequently treated with chemical etching process with 1.0 mol/L sodiumhydroxide solution,or mixed solution of phosphoric acid(6.0%)and chromic acid(1.8%),respectively.Field emission scanningelectron microscopy(FE-SEM)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)were employed to character the morphology andstructure of the obtained alumina nanostructure.It is found that alumina nanowires are generated in the acidic chemical etchingsolution,while nanotube structures are formed in the alkaline solution.The influence of acid and alkaline solution on aluminamorphologies in the chemical etching process was discussed. 展开更多

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs) promise energy density over 400 Wh kg^(-1).However,they suffer severe electrochemical performance deterioration at sub-zero temperatures.Such failure behavior highly correlates to inferior lithium metal anode(LMA) compatibility and sluggish Li^(+) desolvation.Here,we demonstrate that cyclopentylmethyl ether(CPME) based diluted high-concentration electrolyte(DHCE)enables-60℃ LMBs operation.By leveraging the loose coordination between Li^(+) and CPME,such developed electrolyte boosts the formation of ion clusters to derive anion-dominant interfacial chemistry for enhancing LMA compatibility and greatly accelerates Li^(+) desolvation kinetics.The resulting electrolyte demonstrates high Coulombic efficiencies(CE),providing over 99.5%,99.1%,98.5% and 95% at 25,-20,-40,and-60℃respectively.The assembled Li-S battery exhibits remarkable cyclic stability in-20,and-40℃ at 0.2 C charging and 0.5 C discharging.Even at-60℃,Li-S cell with this designed electrolyte retains> 70% of the initial capacity over 170 cycles.Besides,lithium metal coin cell and pouch cell with10 mg cm^(-2) high S cathode loading exhibit cycling stability at-20℃.This work offers an opportunity for rational designing electrolytes toward low temperature LMBs. 展开更多

NiFe2O4-10NiO-based cermet inert anodes for aluminium electrolysis were prepared and their properties were investigated in a lab-scale electrolysis cell. The results show that the inert anodes exhibit good performance during electrolysis in molten salt cryolite at 960 °C, but according to the analyses of phase compositions and microstructures through XRD, SEM/EDX and metallographic analysis, the metal in the anodes is preferentially corroded and many pores are produced on the anode surface after electrolysis. The preferential dissolution of Fe in the NiFe2O4 phase may lead to the non-uniform corrosion of NiFe2O4 grains. Moreover, a dense protective layer of NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 is formed on the anode surface, which originates from the reaction of Al2O3 dissolved in the electrolyte with NiO or FeO, the annexation of NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 to NiO and volume expansion. Thus, the dense NiFe2O4-NiAl2O4-FeAl2O4 layer inhibits the metal loss and ceramic-phase corrosion on the surface of the cermet inert anodes. 展开更多

Large eddy simulation (LES) explicitly calculates the large-scale vortex field and parameterizes the small-scale vortices.In this study,LES and κ-ε models were developed for a specific geometrical configuration of backward-facing step (BFS).The simulation results were validated with particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurements and direct numerical simulation (DNS).This LES simulation was carried out with a Reynolds number of 9000 in a pressurized water tunnel with an expansion ratio of 2.00.The results indicate that the LES model can reveal largescale vortex motion although with a larger grid-cell size.However,the LES model tends to overestimate the top wall separation and the Reynolds stress components for the BFS flow simulation without a sufficiently fine grid.Overall,LES is a potential tool for simulating separated flow controlled by large-scale vortices. 展开更多

The CaO-doped Cu/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet inert anodes were prepared by the cold isostatie pressing-sintering process, and their corrosion resistance to Na3AlF6-K3AlF6-Al203 melt was studied. The results show that the relative density of 5Cu/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet sintered at 1 200 ℃ increases from 82.83% to 97.63% when 2% CaO (mass fraction) is added. During the electrolysis, the relative density of cermet inert anode descends owing to the chemical dissolution of additive CaO at ceramic grain boundary, which accelerates the penetration of electrolyte. Thus, the corrosion resistance to melts of Cu/(NiFe2O4-10NiO) cermet inert anode is reduced. To improve the corrosion resistance of the cermet inert anode, the content of CaO doped should be decreased and the technology of cleaning the ceramic grain boundary should be applied. 展开更多

Direct carbon solid oxide fuel cells(DC-SOFCs)are promising,green,and efficient power-generating devices that are fueled by solid carbons and comprise all-solid-state structures.Developing suitable anode materials for DC-SOFCs is a substantial scientific challenge.Herein we investigated the use of La_(0.75)Sr_(0.25)Cr_(0.5)Mn_(0.5)O_(3)-δ−Ce_(0.8)Gd_(0.2)O_(1.9)(LSCM−GDC)composite electrodes as anodes for La_(0.9)Sr_(0.1)Ga_(0.8)Mg_(0.2)O_(3)-δelectrolyte-based DC-SOFCs,with Camellia oleifera shell char as the carbon fuel.The LSCM−GDC-anode DC-SOFC delivered a maximum power density of 221 mW/cm^(2) at 800℃ and it significantly improved to 425 mW/cm^(2) after Ni nanoparticles were introduced into the LSCM−GDC anode through wet impregnation.The microstructures of the prepared anodes were characterized,and the stability of the anode in a DC-SOFC and the influence of catalytic activity on open circuit voltage were studied.The above results indicate that LSCM–GDC anode is promising to be applied in DC-SOFCs. 展开更多

AIBWPA is applied to 10 classic 0-1 knapsack problems and compared with BWPA, DPSO, which proves that AIBWPA has higher optimization accuracy and better computational robustness. 二步阳极氧化法制备TiO_(2)纳米管阵列复合MoS_(2)的光电化学性能研究

目的 探索二步阳极氧化工艺对TiO_(2)纳米管复合MoS_(2)后样品的光电化学及半导体性能的影响。方法 利用直流脉冲稳压电源对TA1进行阳极氧化工艺处理,电压为40 V,使用的电解液为乙二醇+氯化铵水溶液,再采用220℃、6 h水热法在TiO_(2)纳... 目的 探索二步阳极氧化工艺对TiO_(2)纳米管复合MoS_(2)后样品的光电化学及半导体性能的影响。方法 利用直流脉冲稳压电源对TA1进行阳极氧化工艺处理,电压为40 V,使用的电解液为乙二醇+氯化铵水溶液,再采用220℃、6 h水热法在TiO_(2)纳米管上生长MoS_(2),得到TiO_(2)/MoS_(2)的异质结构。使用扫描电镜(SEM)观察样品的表面微观形貌,利用X射线衍射仪(XRD)分析二步阳极氧化复合MoS_(2)的晶体结构,采用光致发光光谱仪(PL)对样品光生电荷重组进行分析,使用EDS分析复合前后的成分变化,通过电化学工作站对制备的各类样品进行光电流密度、电化学阻抗和莫特肖特基曲线分析。结果 在50 min时一步阳极氧化TiO_(2)纳米管具备良好的电化学及半导体性能,再经过二步阳极氧化工艺制备了2-step TNTs样品,在此基础上复合MoS_(2),可以显著提高其电流密度,提升了大约60%,达到0.32m A/cm^(2),通过等效电路拟合得出此时的Rct为298?,光致发光强度明显减弱。结论 TiO_(2)纳米阵列能为MoS_(2)提供丰富的生长位点,也提供了许多载流子转移通道,通过协同作用来提升光电化学性能。通过二步阳极氧化法制备TiO_(2)纳米管阵列复合MoS_(2)的样品其电荷转移电阻明显降低,形成更便捷的电子传输通道,载流子的迁移速率变得更快,具有较高的电子-空穴分离效率。这一研究为二步阳极氧化复合膜的制备与性能改善提供了一种新的思路。 展开更多
