To investigate the influence of snow particle rotational motion on the accumulation of snow in the bogie region of high-speed trains,an Euler‒Lagrange numerical approach is adopted.The study examines the effects of snow particle diameter and train speed on the ensuing dynamics.It is shown that considering snow particle rotational motion causes significant deviation in the particle trajectories with respect to non-rotating particles.Such a deviation increases with larger snow particle diameters and higher train speeds.The snow accumulation on the overall surface of the bogie increases,and the amount of snow on the vibration reduction device varies greatly.In certain conditions,the amount of accumulated snow can increase by several orders of magnitudes. 展开更多

Timing and carrier frequency offset estimation are critical issue for OFDM cooperative communications. In view of the complexity and high accuracy requirement, 1/2 and 1/4 pilot symbol cycle CAZAC sequence structures are defined as the pilot frequency sequence. Estimation within one symbol cycle is carried out through averaging samples of two neighboring symbol cycles, after which the operation is expanded to all the symbol cycles in one band group. Taking multipath effect into account, the concept of phase rotation is proposed for a further step. Adjust the phase difference of estimated symbols by phase rotation, and cross estimation could be done. Meanwhile, timing scheme works within one cycle training sequence. Theoretical and simulation analysis indicate that CRLB does not only relate to estimation symbol length, but also be influenced by phase difference of estimation symbols seriously. In the condition that the length of estimation is fixed, the bigger the phase rotation angle is, the smaller the CRLB is. The complexity of proposed algorithm is less than full cycle average estimation method for almost 50%. Meanwhile, the estimation accuracy is approximate with the full cycle average estimation method as well. Timing scheme with the defined preamble structure is also proposed. A novel variable step-size modified super-exponential iteration(MSEI)decision feedback blind equalization(DFE)algorithm with second-order digital phase-locked loop is put forward to improve the convergence performance of super-exponential iteration DFE algorithm.Based on the MSEI-DFE algorithm,it is first proposed to develop an error function as an improvement to the error function of MSEI,which effectively achieves faster convergence speed of the algorithm.Subsequently,a hyperbolic tangent function variable step-size algorithm is developed considering the high variation rate of the hyperbolic tangent function around zero,so as to further improve the convergence speed of the algorithm.In the end,a second-order digital phase-locked loop is introduced into the decision feedback equalizer to track and compensate for the phase rotation of equalizer input signals.For the multipath underwater acoustic channel with mixed phase and phase rotation,quadrature phase shift keying(QPSK)and 16 quadrature amplitude modulation(16QAM)modulated signals are used in the computer simulation of the algorithm in terms of convergence and carrier recovery performance.The results show that the proposed algorithm can considerably improve convergence speed and steady-state error,make effective compensation for phase rotation,and efficiently facilitate carrier recovery. 展开更多

The seismic performance of a caisson structure under two types of models with a saturated sandy foundation(CSS)and an expanded polystyrene(EPS)composite soil foundation(CES)are studied using shaking table tests.The macro phenomena of the two different foundation models are described and analyzed.The effects of the replacement of EPS composite soil on seismic-induced liquefaction of backfill and the dynamic performance of a caisson structure are evaluated in detail.The results show that the excess pore water pressure generation in the CES is significantly slower than that in the CSS during the shaking.The dynamic earth pressure acting on the caisson has a triangular shape.The response of horizontal acceleration,displacement,settlement,and rotation angle of the caisson in the CES is smaller than that in the CSS,which means the caisson in the CES has a better seismic performance.Furthermore,the out-of-phase phenomenon between dynamic earth thrust and inertial force in the CES is more obvious than that in the CSS,which is beneficial to reduce the lateral force and improve the stability of the caisson structure. 展开更多

The X-band phased array radar offers faster scanning speed and higher spatial resolution compared to the S-band radar,making it capable of enhancing tornado monitoring and early warning capabilities.This study analyzed the characteristics and nowcasting signals of a tornado case that occurred on June 16,2022 in the Guangzhou region.Our findings indicate that the violent contraction of rotation radius and the dramatic increase in rotation speed were important signal characteristics associated with tornado formation.The X-band phased array radar,with its high temporal and spatial resolution,provided an opportunity to capture early warning signals from polarimetric characteristics.The X-band phased array radar demonstrated noteworthy ability to identify apparent tornado vortex signature(TVS)features in a 10-minute lead time,surpassing the capabilities of the CINRAD/SA radar.Additionally,due to its higher scanning frequency,the Xband phased-array radar was capable of consistently identifying TVS with shorter intervals,enabling a more precise tracking of the tornado's path.The application of professional radars,in this case,provides valuable insights for the monitoring of evolutions of severe local storms and even tornadoes and the issuance of early warning signals. 展开更多

We find that in the limiting of weak coupling the results coincide with that obtained under rotating-wave approximation while there exists an increasing difference with the increase of coupling constant. It was shown that the geometric phase is symmetric with respect to the sign of the detuning of the quantized field from the one-photon resonance under the conventional rotating-wave approximation while a red-blue detuning asymmetry occurs beyond the conventional rotating-wave approximation. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose an ellipsometer using a phase retarder and rotating polarizer and analyzer at a speed ratio I:N. Different ellipsometric configurations are presented by assuming N = 1, 2, and 3. Moreover, two values of the offset angle of the retarder are considered for each ellipsometric configuration. The Mueller formalism is employed to extract the Stokes parameters, from which the intensity received by the detector is obtained. The optical properties of c-Si are calculated using all configurations. A comparison between different configurations is carried out considering the effect of the noise on the results and the uncertainties in the ellipsometric parameters as functions of the uncertainties of the Fourier coefficients. It is found that the alignment of the phase retarder has a crucial impact on the results and the ellipsometric configuration with speed ratio 1:1 is preferred over the other configurations. 展开更多

With regard to the inferior techniques and low accuracy of phase center calibration of an antenna array, this paper proposes a new calibration method considering the actual antenna pointing by introducing a precise engineering surveying technique to measure the real state of antennas. First, an industrial photogrammetric system is utilized to obtain the coordinates of points on antenna panels in different postures, and the actual pointing of the mechanical axis is obtained via least-squares fitting. Then, based on this, the coordinates of antenna rotation center are obtained by seeking the intersection of mechanical axes via using the matrix method. Finally, the mechanical axis in arbitrary postures is estimated based on the inverse-angle weighting interpolation method, and the reliable phase center is obtained by moving a fixed length from the projective center along the mechanical axis. An uplink antenna array including three ? 3 m antennas is taken as experimental object, and all photogrammetric coordinate systems are unified by the engineering control network, with each antenna phase center precisely calibrated via the proposed method. The results of electrical signal synthesis indicate that this method can effectively overcome the influence of gravity deformation and mechanical installation error, and enhance the synthetic signal magnitude of the uplink antenna array. 展开更多

As a key technique in deep space navigation, radio interferometry can be used to determine the accurate location of a spacecraft in the plane-of-sky by measuring its signal propagation time delay between two remote stations. To improve the measurement accuracy, differential phase delay without phase ambiguity is usually desired. Aiming at the difficulties of resolving phase ambiguity with few stations and narrowband downlink signals, a new method is proposed in this work by taking advantage of the Earth rotation. The high accurate differential phase delay between the spacecraft and a calibrator can be achieved not only in the in-beam observation mode but also in the out-of-beam observation mode. In this paper we firstly built the model of phase ambiguity resolution. Then, main measurement errors of the model are analyzed, which is followed by tests and validations of the model and method using the tracking data of the Cassini mission and Chang'E-3 mission. The results show that the phase ambiguities can be correctly resolved to generate a 10-picosecond level accuracy differential phase delay. Angular measurement accuracy of the Cassini reaches the milli-arc-second level, and the relative position accuracy between the Chang'E-3 rover and lander reaches the meter level. 展开更多

This perspective has satisfactorily explained the irregular asymptote effect of geometric phase. The analytical solutions for the displacements, stresses, temperature, diffusion concentration, and volume fraction field with different values of the magnetic field, the rotation, the gravity, and the initial stress are obtained and portrayed graphically. The results indicate that the effects of gravity, rotation, voids, diffusion, initial stress, and electromagnetic field are very pronounced on the physical properties of the material. 展开更多

The phenomena of polarization rotation induced by self-modulation in semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) are analyzed theoretically. The relationship between polarization parameters and gain as well as phase is obtained by the correlation parameter of ellipse polarization and SOA nonlinearity polarization rotation theory. The experiment employs polarizer drive by walking electromotor and power meter, the light power of 360 degree is measured. The transformation law of output polarization power components is found for obvious polarization rotation in the selected coordinate axes based on connection of polarization state in difference axes. Using this law make the manipulation easily on getting ideal polarization state. It can offer a fine method to realize all-optical switch and other logic elements in experiment. This work is of great significance for the applications of SOA nonlinear polarization rotation at high-speed all-optical signal processing and all-optical logic gate. 展开更多

Building on the idea that molecules in liquid phase associate into multi-molecular complexes through covalent bonds, the present article focuses on the possible structures of these complexes. Saturation at atomic level is a key concept to understand where connections occur and how far molecules aggregate. A periodic table for liquids with saturation levels is proposed, in agreement with the even-odd rule, for both organic and inorganic elements. With the aim at reaching the most stable complexes, meaning no other chemical reactions can occur in the liquid phase, the structure of complexes resulting from liquefaction of about 30 molecules is devised. The article concludes that complexes in liquids generally assume rounded shapes of an intermediate size between gas and solid structures. It shows that saturation and covalent bonds alone can explain the specific properties of liquids. While it is generally acknowledged that molecular energy in gases and solids are respectively linear kinetic and vibratory, we suggest that rotatory energy dominates in liquids. 展开更多

We propose a scheme for generating IAP using two-color counter-rotating circularly polarized(TCCRCP) laser pulses. The results demonstrate that the dependence of the IAP generation on CEP stability is largely reduced in this scheme. IAP can be generated at most of CEPs. 为解决卫星导航接收机在小口径旋转导弹应用中无法实现载波连续跟踪问题,本文通过分析小口径旋转导弹接收的卫星导航信号特点,研究载体旋转对接收信号幅度和载波相移的影响,建立载体旋转状态下接收信号的幅度变化模型和载波相移模型,提... 为解决卫星导航接收机在小口径旋转导弹应用中无法实现载波连续跟踪问题,本文通过分析小口径旋转导弹接收的卫星导航信号特点,研究载体旋转对接收信号幅度和载波相移的影响,建立载体旋转状态下接收信号的幅度变化模型和载波相移模型,提出了天线相位缠绕会引入额外的载波相移并改进原有的系统模型。依据信号模型进行系统仿真,并搭建了试验环境以证明相位缠绕对载波相位测量引入的误差不可忽略。试验结果表明,本文所改进的相位缠绕系统模型与实测数据均方根误差为11.13°,为卫星导航接收机实现载波跟踪进行精确的相位补偿提供理论依据,进而为提高高速旋转载体卫星导航性能提供理论支撑。 展开更多

针对二维全向无线电能传输技术存在空间磁场完整度与电流控制策略复杂度的竞争问题,该文提出一种集成LCC-S拓扑的二维全向无线电能传输系统无盲区能量捕获方法。该系统以二维正交线圈为电磁耦合机构,并将其集成于LCC-S型补偿拓扑。同时... 针对二维全向无线电能传输技术存在空间磁场完整度与电流控制策略复杂度的竞争问题,该文提出一种集成LCC-S拓扑的二维全向无线电能传输系统无盲区能量捕获方法。该系统以二维正交线圈为电磁耦合机构,并将其集成于LCC-S型补偿拓扑。同时提出一种自调整参数设计方法,实现系统在二维空间内产生时均旋转磁场以及系统的零相角输入。通过场-路耦合有限元模型分析系统在二维空间内磁场分布情况,随时间峰值磁场强度矢量轨迹为圆形。搭建集成型二维全向无线电能传输的实验样机,实验结果表明,该系统实现单一电源驱动下无盲区的二维全向电磁能量捕获。 展开更多
