Firstly, the structure and working principle of this motor were introduced, especially a spiral spring as the preload applied component was designed for adaptive adjustment. Then, the friction drive model of 2-DOF spherical motor was built up from spatial geometric relation between three annular stators and the spherical rotor which was used to analyze the mechanical characteristics of the motor. The optimal control strategy for minimum norm solution of three stators' angular velocity was proposed, using Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrix. Finally, a 2-DOF prototype was fabricated and tested, which ran stably and controllably. The maximum no-load velocity and stall torque are 92 r/min and 90 m N·m, respectively. The 2-DOF spherical ultrasonic motor has compact structure, easy assembly, good performance and stable operation.展开更多

The dynamic responses of a two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) airfoil coupled with an NES are studied with the harmonic balance method. Different structure parameters of the NES, i.e., mass ratio between the NES and airfoil, NES offset, NES damping, and nonlinear stiffness in the NES, are chosen for studying the effect of the LCO suppression on an aeroelastic system with a supercritical Hopf bifurcation or subcritical Hopf bifurcation, respectively. The results show that the structural parameters of the NES have different influence on the supercritical Hopf bifurcation system and the subcritical Hopf bifurcation system.展开更多

The mathematical models of these systems are governed by second--order nonlinear partial differential equations. Nonlinear differential equations were transferred into a single equation by using some intermediate variables. The single nonlinear differential equations are solved by using the first order of the Hamiltonian approach (HA). Different parameters, which have a significant impact on the response of the systems, are considered and discussed. Some comparisons are presented to verify the results between the Hamiltonian approach and the exact solution. The maximum relative error is less than 2.2124 % for large amplitudes of vibration. The plant model is the discrete dynamics model developed by Yasuda et al., which is implementable on a real engine control unit. We introduce a two-degree-of-freedom control scheme with a feedback controller and a feedforward controller. This scheme achieves both good feedback properties, such as disturbance suppression and robust stability, and a good transient response. The feedforward controller is designed by taking the inverse of the static plant model, and the feedback controller is designed by the H-infinity control method, which reduces the effect of the trubocharger lag. The effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated in simulations using the nonlinear discrete dynamics model.展开更多

Aimed at the problem of reference command's rapid change, one freedom feed forward is adopted, while another freedom output feedback is used to meet good servo tracking as well as disturbance and noise rejection; furthermore, to overcome the overshoot problem and acquire dynamic tuning, the integral is introduced in inner loop, and another integral controller is used in outer loop in order to guarantee steady errors; additionally, two performance weighting functions are designed to achieve robust specialty and control energy limit considering the uncertainties in system. As the schedule parameters change over large flight envelope, the stability of closed-loop LPV system is proved using Lyapunov inequalities. The simulation results show that the relative tracking errors of temperature and pressure are less than 0.5% with LPV μ synthesis controller. Meanwhile, compared with non-LPV μ synthesis controller in large uncertainty range, the proposed approach in this research can ensure robust servo performance of FET over the whole operational envelope.展开更多

The effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated in simulations using the nonlinear discrete dynamics model.
文摘Over the past several years,we have been studying the problem of optimally rotating a rigid sphere about its center, where the rotation is actuated by a triplet of external torques acting on the body. The control objective is to repeatedly direct a suitable radial vector, called the gaze vector, towards a stationary point target in R^(3).The orientation of the sphere is constrained to lie in a suitable submanifold of SO(3).Historically,the constrained rotational movements were studied by physiologists in the nineteenth century, interested in eye and head movements. In this paper we revisit the gaze control problem, where two visual sensors, are tasked to simultaneously stare at a point target in the visual space. The target position changes discretely and the problem we consider is how to reorient the gaze directions of the sensors, along the optimal pathway of the human eyes,to the new location of the target. This is done by first solving an optimal control problem on the human binocular system.Next,we use these optimal control and show that a pan-tilt system can be controlled to follow the gaze trajectory of the human eye requiring a nonlinear static feedback of the pan and tilt angles and their derivatives. Our problem formulation uses a new Riemannian geometric description of the orientation space. The paper also introduces a new, pyramid based interpolation method,to implement the optimal controller.
文摘To solve the problem of robust servo performance of Flight Environment Testbed(FET)of Altitude Ground Test Facilities(AGTF) over the whole operational envelope, a two-degree-offreedom μ synthesis method based on Linear Parameter Varying(LPV) schematic is proposed, and meanwhile a new structure frame of μ synthesis control on two degrees of freedom with double integral and weighting functions is presented, which constitutes a core support part of the paper. Meanwhile, compared with non-LPV μ synthesis controller in large uncertainty range, the proposed approach in this research can ensure robust servo performance of FET over the whole operational envelope.

文摘In this paper, we propose a method to select the observation position in visual servoing with an eye-in-vehicle configuration for the manipulator. In traditional visual servoing, the images taken by the camera may have various problems, including being out of view, large perspective aberrance, improper projection area of object in images and so on. In this paper, we propose a method to determine the observation position to solve these problems. A mobile robot system with pan-tilt camera is designed, which calculates the observation position based on an observation and then moves there. Both simulation and experimental results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
