However, resource allocation in MCN is an NP-hard problem. Hence, significant research needs to be done in this field in order to efficiently design the radio network. In this paper, optimal position of relay stations in a hierarchical cluster-based two-hop cellular network is investigated. Vector algebra has been used to derive general equation for carrier-to-interference ratio (C/I) of a mobile station. It has been observed that when the transmit power of base station (BS) and the gateway (GTW)/relay station (RS) are same, the RSs should be located close to mid-point of BS and the edge of the cell. However, significantly, when the transmit power of the BS is greater than that of the GTW, then the RSs should be placed closer to the edge of the cell, in order to maximize the minimum C/I at any point in the cell. This in turn results in higher modulation technique at the physical layer, and hence, a higher data-rate to all the users in the system.展开更多

A new frequency allocation scheme is proposed to increase cell capacity and improve signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) of users located at cell edges. In this paper, we investigate the secure transmission in a HSTRN where the eavesdropper can wiretap the transmitted messages from both the satellite and the intermediate relays. To effectively protect the message from wiretapping in these two phases, we consider cooperative jamming by the relays, where the jamming signals are optimized to maximize the secrecy rate under the total power constraint of relays. In the first phase, the Maximal Ratio Transmission(MRT) scheme is used to maximize the secrecy rate, while in the second phase, by interpolating between the sub-optimal MRT scheme and the null-space projection scheme, the optimal scheme can be obtained via an efficient one-dimensional searching method. Simulation results show that when the number of cooperative relays is small, the performance of the optimal scheme significantly outperforms that of MRT and null-space projection scheme. When the number of relays increases, the performance of the null-space projection approaches that of the optimal one.展开更多

文摘In this article,a low-cost electromagnetic structure emulating photonic nanojets is utilized to improve the efficiency of wireless relay networks. The spectral element method, due to its high accuracy,is used to verify the efficiency of the proposed structure by solving the associate field distribution. The application of optimal single-relay selection method shows that full diversity gain with low complexity can be achieved. In this paper, the proposed technique using smart relays combines the aforementioned two methods to attain the benefits of both methods by achieving the highest coding and diversity gain and enhances the overall network performance in terms of bit error rate(BER).Moreover,we analytically prove the advantage of using the proposed technique. In our simulations,it can be shown that the proposed technique outperforms the best known state-of-the-art single relay selection technique.Furthermore, the BER expressions obtained from the theoretical analysis are perfectly matched to those obtained from the conducted simulations.

文摘In order to provide privacy provisioning for the secondary information,we propose an energy harvesting based secure transmission scheme for the cognitive multi-relay networks. In the proposed scheme, two secondary relays harvest energy to power the secondary transmitter and assist the secondary secure transmission without interfere the secondary transmission.Specifically, the proposed secure transmission policy is implemented into two phases. In the first phase, the secondary transmitter transmits the secrecy information and jamming signal through the power split method. After harvesting energy from a fraction of received radio-frequency signals, one secondary relay adopts the amplify-and-forward relay protocol to assist the secondary secure transmission and the other secondary relay just forwards the new designed jamming signal to protect the secondary privacy information and degrade the jamming interference at the secondary receiver. For the proposed scheme,we first analyze the average secrecy rate, the secondary secrecy outage probability, and the ergodic secrecy rate, and derive their closed-form expressions.Following the above results,we optimally allocate the transmission power such that the secrecy rate is maximized under the secrecy outage probability constraint. For the optimization problem,an AI based simulated annealing algorithm is proposed to allocate the transmit power.Numerical results are presented to validate the performance analytical results and show the performance superiority of the proposed scheme in terms of the average secrecy rate.

文摘In this article,we introduce a new bi-directional dual-relay selection strategy with its bit error rate(BER)performance analysis.During the first step of the proposed strategy, two relays out of a set of N relay-nodes are selected in a way to optimize the system performance in terms of BER,based on the suggested algorithm which checks if the selected relays using the maxmin criterion are the best ones.In the second step, the chosen relay-nodes perform an orthogonal space-time coding scheme using the two-phase relaying protocol to establish a bi-directional communication between the communicating terminals, leading to a significant improvement in the achievable coding and diversity gain.To further improve the overall system performance, the selected relay-nodes apply also a digital network coding scheme.Furthermore, this paper discusses the analytical approximation of the BER performance of the proposed strategy, where we prove that the analytical results match almost perfectly the simulated ones. Finally, our simulation results show that the proposed strategy outperforms the current state-of-the-art ones.
文摘The Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) has become a focus in research of wireless broadband communications . In a switching technologies - based wireless Mesh network, the entire network is regarded as an IP subnet, so it cannot be applied in situations where large coverage is required . The use of cooperative relaying technologies can improve the transmission rate and reliability of wireless link; while the wireless Mesh network, once integrated with cooperative relaying technologies and routing technologies , can improve its spectrum efficiency and cover a wide area . However, there are many problems to be solved with respect to standardization, key technologies research and industrialization. Therefore , the application of cooperative relaying technologies in wireless Mesh networks is still a great challenge .

文摘This paper investigated a QoS-aware power allocation for relay satellite networks. For the given QoS requirements,we analyzed the signal model of relay transmission and formulated the power minimization problem which is non-convex and difficult to solve. To find the optimal solution to the considered problem,we first analyzed the optimization problem and equivalently turn it into a convex optimization problem. Then,we provided a Lagrangian dual-based method to obtain the closed-form of the power allocation and provided an iterative algorithm to the optimal solution. Moreover,we also extended the results to the cooperative transmission mode. Finally, simulation results were provided to verify the superiority of the proposed algorithm.
文摘To promote reliable and secure communications in the cognitive radio network, the automatic modulation classification algorithms have been mainly proposed to estimate a single modulation. In this paper,we address the classification of superimposed modulations dedicated to 5G multipleinput multiple-output(MIMO)two-way cognitive relay network in realistic channels modeled with Nakagami-m distribution. Our purpose consists of classifying pairs of users modulations from superimposed signals. To achieve this goal,we apply the higher-order statistics in conjunction with the Multi-BoostAB classifier. We use several efficiency metrics including the true positive(TP)rate, false positive(FP)rate,precision,recall,F-Measure and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)area in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of correct superimposed modulations classification.Computer simulations prove that our proposal allows obtaining a good probability of classification for ten superimposed modulations at a low signal-to-noise ratio, including the worst case(i.e.,m=0.5),where the fading distribution follows a one-sided Gaussian distribution. We also carry out a comparative study between our proposal usingMultiBoostAB classifier with the decision tree(J48)classifier.Simulation results show that the performance of MultiBoostAB on the superimposed modulations classifications outperforms the one of J48 classifier. In addition,we study the impact of the symbols number, path loss exponent and relay position on the performance of the proposed automatic classification superimposed modulations in terms of probability of correct classification.

文摘As an alternative to satellite communications,multi-hop relay networks can be deployed for maritime long-distance communications.Distinct from terrestrial environment, marine radio signals are affected by many factors,e.g.,weather conditions, evaporation ducting, and ship rocking caused by waves. To ensure the data transmission reliability, the block Markov superposition transmission(BMST)codes, which are easily configurable and have predictable performance, are applied in this study.Meanwhile, the physical-layer network coding(PNC)scheme with spatial modulation(SM)is adopted to improve the spectrum utilization. For the BMST-SMPNC system,we propose an iterative algorithm, which utilizes the channel observations and the a priori information from BMST decoder,to compute the soft information corresponding to the XORed bits constructed by the relay node. The results indicate that the proposed scheme outperforms the convolutional coded SM-PNC over fast-fading Rician channels.Especially, the performance can be easily improved in high spatial correlation maritime channel by increasing the memory m.

文摘The architecture of cislunar multi-hop communication networks, which focuses on the requirements of lunar full-coverage and continuous cislunar communications, is presented on the basis of Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO) satellite network relays. According to the geographical distribution of the forthcoming Chinese Deep Space Measuring and Controlling Network (DSMCN), two networking schemes are proposed and two elevation angle optimization models are established for locating GEO relay satellites. To analyze the dynamic connectivity, a dynamic network model is constructed with respect to the time-varying characteristics of cislunar trunk links. The advantages of the two proposed schemes, in terms of the Connectivity Rate (CR), Interruption Frequency (IF), and Average Length of Connecting Duration (ALCD), are corroborated by several simulations. In the case of the lunar polar orbit constellation case, the gains in the performance of scheme I are observed to be 134.55%, 117.03%, and 217.47% compared with DSMCN for three evaluation indicators, and the gains in the performance of scheme II are observed to be 238. 22%, 240.40%, and 572.71%. The results validate that the connectivity of GEO satellites outperforms that of earth facilities significantly and schemes based on GEO satellite relays are promising options for cislunar multi-hop communication networking.
