The subtle color distinction is the important function of electronic endoscope imaging diagnosis.However,after image acquisition,transmission and display,color distortions of intracorporeal organs or tissues occur ine...The subtle color distinction is the important function of electronic endoscope imaging diagnosis.However,after image acquisition,transmission and display,color distortions of intracorporeal organs or tissues occur inevitably,which are adverse to analyze image features accurately or to diagnose early pathological changes.A real-time color correction algorithm based on fourneighborhood and polynomial regression in YUV color space is proposed.Based on polynomial regression the color correction matrix is calculated in YUV color space according to the dierences between standard values of color checker and measured values of that imaged by the endoscope.As the correction is only executed on U and V components in YUV color space,the defect that the color of corrected images in RGB color space will change along with luminance can be avoided,and then the stability of image color is improved.Owing to four-neighborhood processing,the signal-to-noise ratio of corrected images is enhanced and the processing speed of correction algorithm is accelerated.The average color dierence is reduced from 0.3944 to 0.2850 by application of the proposed algorithm in high-denition electronic endoscope.A total of 17 frames per second can be achieved at the resolution of 1280800,and the color characteristics of the image after processing match that of human visual system.展开更多

It was remarkable that the electronic excitation temperature (Text) did not vary monotonically with the discharge current, but demonstrated a peak at a certain position. In a mixture of oxygen and argon (80% oxygen), the maximum Texc reached about 6300 K at an average current of 600 pA. Both the positive ions accumulation in the discharge region and the increase of the local temperature around the streamer channel caused by Joule heating are considered to be the main reasons for the variations of Texc.展开更多
The synthesis of carbon supporter/nanoscale high-entropy alloys(HEAs)electromagnetic response composites by carbothermal shock method has been identified as an advanced strategy for the collaborative competition engin...The synthesis of carbon supporter/nanoscale high-entropy alloys(HEAs)electromagnetic response composites by carbothermal shock method has been identified as an advanced strategy for the collaborative competition engineering of conductive/dielectric genes.Electron migration modes within HEAs as manipulated by the electronegativity,valence electron configurations and molar proportions of constituent elements determine the steady state and efficiency of equivalent dipoles.Herein,enlightened by skin-like effect,a reformative carbothermal shock method using carbonized cellulose paper(CCP)as carbon supporter is used to preserve the oxygencontaining functional groups(O·)of carbonized cellulose fibers(CCF).Nucleation of HEAs and construction of emblematic shell-core CCF/HEAs heterointerfaces are inextricably linked to carbon metabolism induced by O·.Meanwhile,the electron migration mode of switchable electronrich sites promotes the orientation polarization of anisotropic equivalent dipoles.By virtue of the reinforcement strategy,CCP/HEAs composite prepared by 35%molar ratio of Mn element(CCP/HEAs-Mn_(2.15))achieves efficient electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption of−51.35 dB at an ultra-thin thickness of 1.03 mm.The mechanisms of the resulting dielectric properties of HEAs-based EMW absorbing materials are elucidated by combining theoretical calculations with experimental characterizations,which provide theoretical bases and feasible strategies for the simulation and practical application of electromagnetic functional devices(e.g.,ultra-wideband bandpass filter).展开更多
BACKGROUND Massive esophageal variceal bleeding can be catastrophic,leading to high morbidity and mortality.Patients experiencing massive esophageal variceal bleeding are at high risk of aspiration and hemorrhagic sho...BACKGROUND Massive esophageal variceal bleeding can be catastrophic,leading to high morbidity and mortality.Patients experiencing massive esophageal variceal bleeding are at high risk of aspiration and hemorrhagic shock in acute episodes.Intubation and bleeding control are the two essential steps for resuscitation of these patients.CASE SUMMARY A 47-year-old male patient was admitted to our hospital with upper digestive tract bleeding.He was diagnosed with alcohol-induced liver cirrhosis and consequent esophagogastric varices.As he did not show a good response to somatostatin and Sengstaken-Blakemore tube placement,the patient was scheduled for endoscopic angiotherapy under anesthesia.Preoperative assessment showed an ASA physical status of III and Child-Pugh classification B.However,massive hemorrhage occurred just after induction of anesthesia.Intubation by video-guided laryngoscopy in the lateral decubitus position was attempted twice and was successful.After that,an experienced endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)specialist performed angiotherapy and occluded the culprit vessel.An ultra-thin gastroscope was then inserted into the endotracheal tube to extract the blood observed in the lobar bronchi.The patient suffered hemorrhagic shock with an estimated blood loss of 1500 mL in 20 min and remained in the intensive care unit for two days.The patient was discharged from our hospital eight days later without major complications.CONCLUSION Intubation in the lateral decubitus position and EUS-guided treatment can be lifesaving procedures in patients with massive upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage.展开更多

Here by molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) and scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy, we investigate the growth kinetics of ultra-thin tellurium(Te) films on SrTiO_(3)(STO)(001). The MBE growth of Te films usually exhibits Volmer–Weber(VW) island growth mode and no a-few-monolayer film with full coverage has been reported. The absence of wetting-layer formation in the VW growth mode of Te on STO(001) is resulted from its low diffusion barriers as well as its relatively higher surface energy compared with those of the substrate and the interface. Here we circumvent these limiting factors and achieve the growth of ultra-thin β-Te films with near-complete coverages by driving the growth kinetics to the extreme condition. There is a critical thickness(3 monolayer) above which the two-dimensional Te films can form on the STO(001) substrate. In addition, the scanning tunneling spectra on the ultra-thin Te film grown on STO exhibits an enormously large forbidden gap compared with that grown on the graphene substrate. Our work establishes the necessary conditions for the growth of ultra-thin materials with similar kinetics and thermodynamics.展开更多
An ultra-thin flattened heat pipe has been developed with a centered wick structure.This structure is essential to make the heat pipe thinner.However,the centered wick structure reduces the evaporation and condensatio...An ultra-thin flattened heat pipe has been developed with a centered wick structure.This structure is essential to make the heat pipe thinner.However,the centered wick structure reduces the evaporation and condensation surface areas of the wick structure because it is sandwiched between heat pipe walls.In this study,because detailed discussion has not been made,heat transfer experiments were conducted for the wick structure sandwiched between two solid walls.This study focused on the evaporation heat transfer characteristics from the sandwiched wick structure.The experiments were conducted with three wick structures,that is,strip-shaped sintered copper powders with thicknesses of 0.5,1.0,and 1.5 mm.Water was used as working fluid.The capillary pumping performance,that is,the liquid lifting velocities of the three wick structures were the same.The experimental results of the three wick structures were compared regarding the relation between the evaporation heat transfer rate and the superheat of the working fluid.The heat transfer experiments were also conducted when one of the solid walls was removed from the wick structure.It was confirmed that even if the wick structure was sandwiched between the solid walls,sufficient evaporation of the working fluid occurred from the thin sides of the wick structure.展开更多
