Background:The Internet plus nursing service program is being piloted in China,which has become a new home nursing service model led by nurses.To enable safe and effective homecare service delivery,nurses working in t...Background:The Internet plus nursing service program is being piloted in China,which has become a new home nursing service model led by nurses.To enable safe and effective homecare service delivery,nurses working in the program need a high level of competency.However,the content of these core competencies and the training needs of nurses for Internet plus nursing services are still unknown.Aim:To describe nurses’perceptions of core competencies and training needs to work in the Internet plus nursing service program,thereby providing a reference for the development of training programs.Methods:A qualitative descriptive study using semi-structured interviews was conducted on 15 nurses with experience of working in the Internet plus nursing service program.Interviews were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim,and the data were analyzed using thematic analysis.Results:Core competencies involved comprehensive assessment competence,direct care practice competence,health education and consulting competence,risk estimation and response competence,and communication competence.Training needs involved complex operational items,knowledge of chronic disease management,professional communication,risk identification and response,nursing standards,norms,and procedures,and utilization of information technology.Conclusions:The training system may be developed based on nurses’core competencies and their training needs to promote professional development of the Internet plus nursing service.展开更多

Objective:With the continuous advancement of aging in China,the number of older inpatients has increased sharply.Older patients have a high demand for planning their discharge services.Nurses serve as the leader of di...Objective:With the continuous advancement of aging in China,the number of older inpatients has increased sharply.Older patients have a high demand for planning their discharge services.Nurses serve as the leader of discharge planning for patients;there is a lack of reliable evaluation tool to evaluate the core competitiveness of nurses who implement discharge planning for older patients in China.The purpose of this study was to validate the index for the core competence of nurses who lead discharge planning for older patients developed by a project team through the Delphi method in the early stage.Methods:A cross-sectional questionnaire survey with 3-stage stratified sampling was used to select 1075 nurses from 17 public general hospitals in Ningxia,China.Results:The index consists of 4 first-level indicators,13 second-level indicators,and 57 third-level indicators.The results show that 57 third-level indicators had good discrimination.With exploratory factor analysis(EFA),4 common factors that explained 72.79%of the total variance were extracted.The Cronbach's a was 0.98,and the retest reliability within a 14-d interval was 0.86.The confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)results show that the fit of the index structure was good.The criterion validity was 0.73.Conclusions:The index presented excellent psychometric proper ties and can be used to measure the core competence of nurses in implementing discharge planning for older patients in China.展开更多
Objective: The aim of this project was to train highly professional and specialized nursing students from medical colleges to adapt to bedside clinical care by exploring and discussing various methods of injection an...Objective: The aim of this project was to train highly professional and specialized nursing students from medical colleges to adapt to bedside clinical care by exploring and discussing various methods of injection and IV infusion in animal experimentation to hone the core professional nursing competencies. Methods: Two classes from the 2012 senior graduating nursing class were randomly selected by a computer to conduct the diversified practical teaching methods based on animal experimentation. A hospital environment was simulated by requiring students to perform different types of injections and practical IV infusion techniques. A comprehensive evaluation of the core professional competencies, as well as other integrated competencies, was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the teaching methods. Results: Two-sampled, pairwise u-tests were performed between the scores of the experimental (nursing class 2) and control (nursing class 1) groups. These findings showed that the overall test scores were significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group and that the average P-values for the competencies in various categories were 〈0.01, which indicated statistically significant results. Conclusions: Based on the data from this project, diversified teaching methods for basic nursing training founded on animal experimentation can help nursing students perfect their core professional competencies and improve their overall professional standing. The introduction of animal experimentation requires further verification, and an increased acknowledgement of its benefits through the widespread dissemination of this information.展开更多

In recent years, the number and quality of specialized nurses remain to be improved despite the remarkable achievements in the construction of specialized nurses. Objective: This study intended to explore a standardized training mode for nurses oriented by training and assessment of nursespecialty knowledge and to summarize the practical experience of this mode. Methods: The training and assessment program was formulated by starting from the objectives of training clinical front-line nursing staff in our hospital, and the standard training and assessment were carried out from four aspects: the specialized disease knowledge, the condition observation and reporting ability, emergency and severe disease nursing, and perioperative accelerated rehabilitation guidance. These four items are hereinafter referred to as “Four Passes” training and assessment, and it was practiced in the assessment and training of nurses in our hospital from 2020 to 2022. Results: A total of 915 front-line caregivers were surveyed in our study, including 772 nurses and 143 doctors. After two years of implementation, the self-evaluation of nurses increased from (2.96 ± 0.79) points to (3.64 ± 0.78) points, and the evaluation score by doctors increased from (3.94 ± 0.74) points to (4.26 ± 0.72) points. The core competence of specialty increased from (69.22 ± 16.53) points to (85.42 ± 14.44) points. The scores of all dimensions after training were higher than those before training, with statistical significances. Conclusion: The “Four Passes” training and assessment of nurse specialty knowledge can fully mobilize the enthusiasm of managers and nurses in all departments, ensure solid specialty knowledge, improve nurses’ core competence, improve nursing quality, and create a harmonious relationship between nurses and patients as well as between doctors and patients.展开更多
Background:The backup nurses are created to meet emergencies in the case of inadequate nursing staff and emergency circumstances,and there are no clear definitions of the core competencies for training and evaluation ...Background:The backup nurses are created to meet emergencies in the case of inadequate nursing staff and emergency circumstances,and there are no clear definitions of the core competencies for training and evaluation of backup nurses in the acute care hospitals in China.Methods:This study used a modified Delphi process where an initial list of potential competencies is established following a framework of training need analysis(TNA),literature review,and focus groups.This process generated as a list of 47 core competencies,which is presented to an expert panel(n=20)for consideration in two rounds.Results:As determined by the survey,a combination of 26 core competencies in three specified categories is identified:professional practice ability,critical thinking ability,and interpersonal skills.A total of 154.99 h is required to complete all 26 core competencies,and each item has a corresponding evaluation method.Conclusions:The core competencies provide a scientific basis for the hospital nursing managers to train and evaluate backup nurses,and it may ensure consistency in standards across the country.展开更多

evaluation was based on CMO No.3,issued in 2007.Then,the subjects were mapped from the prescribed subjects in the BS Curriculum to the CPA Licensure Examination subjects to spot the congruentcy;lastly,this paper identified the areas of competency of the Accounting Graduates using the rating obtained in the licensure examination as a standard,this is based on RA 9298,the Philippine Accountancy Law,Section 16.The relevance of the study in the present time,is to come up with a better strategic action plan based on the findings and provide practical recommendations that can enhance the capabilities of the next batches of accounting graduates of the University.Descriptive Content Analysis was used in generating and examining qualitative and quantitative data through secondary resources.Based on the CMO No.3,series of 2017,results revealed that General Education develops competencies in intellectual skills,personal,interpersonal,and communication skills.Business Education develops competencies on economic,quantitative methods,business statistics,organization behavior,marketing,and operations management,professional values,and ethics.Information Technology Education System develops competencies on internal control in computer-based systems,development standards,and practices for business systems,management of the adoption,implementation and use of IT,evaluation of computer business systems,and managing the security of information.Accounting and Finance develops competencies on business law and taxation,financial management,financial management,financial accounting theory and practice,cost determination,analysis and control,management accounting and consultancy services,advanced accounting,auditing,and assurance services.After mapping the BSA Curriculum and CPA Licensure Examination subjects,it was found that BSA Curriculum General and Business Education are integrated in all subjects given in the CPA Licensure Examination.The Information Technology Education is integrated in the CPA Licensure Examination subjects such as integrated in Theory of Accounts,Management Services,and Auditing Theory.The Accounting and Finance Education is integrated in Business Law and Taxation,Theory of Accounts,Practical Accounting Problems I,Practical Accounting Problems II,Management Services,Auditing Theory,and Auditing Problems.It was ascertained also that majority of CSU Accounting Graduates from 2013-2015 have strong competencies in financial accounting,management accounting,financial management related services,capital budgeting and techniques,project feasibility studies,and application of the concepts,standards,techniques,and methodology applicable to management/consultancy services or problems likely to be encountered in the real practice.However,accounting graduates have weak competencies in assurance and related services,applying audit standards,techniques,procedures of independent audit of medium-sized service,trading,or manufacturing concern,financial accounting techniques and methodologies to problems,and legal implications of business transactions,business associations,and negotiable instruments related to accounting and auditing and practical application of basic principles of taxation.Majority of the accounting graduates have failed in the subjects such as Auditing Theory,Auditing Problems I,and Business Law and Taxation.Given these findings,it is recommended:(1)reviewing the current competencies of the CSU accounting students against the target through a competency plan and track learning activities in Auditing and Assurance Services,Assurance Principles,Professional Ethics,and Good Governance,Advanced Financial Accounting,Part I,Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting,Part II,Accounting for Governmental,Not-for-Profit entities,and Specialized Industries,Law on Business Organization,Law on Negotiable Instruments,Sales Agency,Labour and Other Commercial Laws,and Business Transfer Taxes where majority of the students failed in the CPA Licensure Examination;(2)enhancing or improving teaching methodologies on the subjects in BSA curriculum such as Management Accounting and Consultancy Services,Auditing and Assurance Services,Business Law and Taxation,and Financial Accounting Practice where majority of Accounting graduates showed weak competencies;(3)conducting a thorough investigation of the factors that caused the failure of the students in the said subjects,then,strengthening the admission and retention policy;(4)instructor/professor should enhance their syllabi to include recent developments,trends,and innovations in teaching materials,and methodologies to avoid obsolescence.展开更多

Introduction:Nurse specialists are being cultivated and trained in China to cope with the international development of nursing discipline.However,an empirical summary and reviews of literature have shown a lack of cor...Introduction:Nurse specialists are being cultivated and trained in China to cope with the international development of nursing discipline.However,an empirical summary and reviews of literature have shown a lack of core competence evaluation standards for emergency nurse specialists(ENSs)in China.ENS training has been conducted in several regions without any effective competence evaluation standards.This paper describes the development and psychometric testing of the Core Competence Evaluation Standards for Emergency Nurse Specialists(CCESENS)in the Chinese context.Methods:Several rigorous research methods were applied.The proposed evaluation process consisted of two phases with seven steps.First,the Core Competence Framework Model for Emergency Nurse Specialist(CCFMENS)was established,and 118 items were generated through a review of literature,theoretical analysis,and expert interviews.Drafts of the dimensions and items were evaluated by two-round Delphi methods.Analysis hierarchy process was used to determine the weight of each dimension.Second,field testing was performed among 138 senior emergency nurses.Internal consistency and correlation analysis were applied to test the reliability and validity of the model.Results:The CCESENS consisted of five first-level dimensions,16 second-level dimensions,and 55 items.Cronbach's a coefficient of overall standards was 0.972,and each dimension ranged from 0.508 to 0.972.Expert content validity index was 0.818,and the correlation coefficients of the five first-level dimensions with the overall standards CCESENS ranged from 0.701 to 0.886(P<0.05).Discussion:The CCESENS demonstrated sound internal consistency reliability,content validity,and construct validity.The proposed standard provides an objective standard and reference for assessing,training,and evaluating core competence of ENS.展开更多

It is pointed out that although these interpretations play an active role in enriching the theory of core competence,it still faces the problems to further deepen these interpretations:the first problem is how to give a precise definition;the second is about its extension;the third is on the logical and practical relationship between the production mechanism and its sustainable competitive advantages;the fourth is the problems in the production process and the corresponding management. Both the systematic essence and features of core competence are introduced:the first is the system self-organization process produced within the corporate;the second is the interaction between corporate system and environment;it needs a growing and evolution process. 文摘Objective:With the continuous advancement of aging in China,the number of older inpatients has increased sharply.Older patients have a high demand for planning their discharge services.Nurses serve as the leader of discharge planning for patients;there is a lack of reliable evaluation tool to evaluate the core competitiveness of nurses who implement discharge planning for older patients in China.The purpose of this study was to validate the index for the core competence of nurses who lead discharge planning for older patients developed by a project team through the Delphi method in the early stage.Methods:A cross-sectional questionnaire survey with 3-stage stratified sampling was used to select 1075 nurses from 17 public general hospitals in Ningxia,China.Results:The index consists of 4 first-level indicators,13 second-level indicators,and 57 third-level indicators.The results show that 57 third-level indicators had good discrimination.With exploratory factor analysis(EFA),4 common factors that explained 72.79%of the total variance were extracted.The Cronbach's a was 0.98,and the retest reliability within a 14-d interval was 0.86.The confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)results show that the fit of the index structure was good.The criterion validity was 0.73.Conclusions:The index presented excellent psychometric proper ties and can be used to measure the core competence of nurses in implementing discharge planning for older patients in China.

文摘Objective: The aim of this project was to train highly professional and specialized nursing students from medical colleges to adapt to bedside clinical care by exploring and discussing various methods of injection and IV infusion in animal experimentation to hone the core professional nursing competencies. Methods: Two classes from the 2012 senior graduating nursing class were randomly selected by a computer to conduct the diversified practical teaching methods based on animal experimentation. A hospital environment was simulated by requiring students to perform different types of injections and practical IV infusion techniques. A comprehensive evaluation of the core professional competencies, as well as other integrated competencies, was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the teaching methods. Results: Two-sampled, pairwise u-tests were performed between the scores of the experimental (nursing class 2) and control (nursing class 1) groups. These findings showed that the overall test scores were significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group and that the average P-values for the competencies in various categories were 〈0.01, which indicated statistically significant results. Conclusions: Based on the data from this project, diversified teaching methods for basic nursing training founded on animal experimentation can help nursing students perfect their core professional competencies and improve their overall professional standing. The introduction of animal experimentation requires further verification, and an increased acknowledgement of its benefits through the widespread dissemination of this information.
文摘Background: With the development of high quality nursing service, hospitals put forward higher requirements for nurses’ service level. In recent years, the number and quality of specialized nurses remain to be improved despite the remarkable achievements in the construction of specialized nurses. Objective: This study intended to explore a standardized training mode for nurses oriented by training and assessment of nursespecialty knowledge and to summarize the practical experience of this mode. Methods: The training and assessment program was formulated by starting from the objectives of training clinical front-line nursing staff in our hospital, and the standard training and assessment were carried out from four aspects: the specialized disease knowledge, the condition observation and reporting ability, emergency and severe disease nursing, and perioperative accelerated rehabilitation guidance. These four items are hereinafter referred to as “Four Passes” training and assessment, and it was practiced in the assessment and training of nurses in our hospital from 2020 to 2022. Results: A total of 915 front-line caregivers were surveyed in our study, including 772 nurses and 143 doctors. After two years of implementation, the self-evaluation of nurses increased from (2.96 ± 0.79) points to (3.64 ± 0.78) points, and the evaluation score by doctors increased from (3.94 ± 0.74) points to (4.26 ± 0.72) points. The core competence of specialty increased from (69.22 ± 16.53) points to (85.42 ± 14.44) points. The scores of all dimensions after training were higher than those before training, with statistical significances. Conclusion: The “Four Passes” training and assessment of nurse specialty knowledge can fully mobilize the enthusiasm of managers and nurses in all departments, ensure solid specialty knowledge, improve nurses’ core competence, improve nursing quality, and create a harmonious relationship between nurses and patients as well as between doctors and patients.

文摘Background:The backup nurses are created to meet emergencies in the case of inadequate nursing staff and emergency circumstances,and there are no clear definitions of the core competencies for training and evaluation of backup nurses in the acute care hospitals in China.Methods:This study used a modified Delphi process where an initial list of potential competencies is established following a framework of training need analysis(TNA),literature review,and focus groups.This process generated as a list of 47 core competencies,which is presented to an expert panel(n=20)for consideration in two rounds.Results:As determined by the survey,a combination of 26 core competencies in three specified categories is identified:professional practice ability,critical thinking ability,and interpersonal skills.A total of 154.99 h is required to complete all 26 core competencies,and each item has a corresponding evaluation method.Conclusions:The core competencies provide a scientific basis for the hospital nursing managers to train and evaluate backup nurses,and it may ensure consistency in standards across the country.
文摘In South Korea,the vocational education and training institutions,such as the vocational colleges,the vocational high schools,and the vocational training institutions is applying the National Competency Standards(NCS).NCS is function as a key link in development of the human resource development(HRD),linking work,education and training,and qualifications by analyzing and presenting systematically the job demands of the industrial field.The 4-year universities that focus generally on the theoretical studies do not yet have applied NCS in South Korea.However,in the case of 4-year universities,the importance of professional education is emphasized by being derived and independed from more precise the individual science through the advancement of science and technology,and the division of social functions.Therefore,it is desirable to apply NCS to improve the practical expertise of 4-year university students.For this purpose,this study aims to compare the curriculum of national K-University and the NCS contents,and to find out how to apply it to the curriculum of 4-year universities in order to bring about the functions and the characteristics of education and training.
文摘This study aimed to explore university students’perceptions on the possession of core competencies for the 21st century.A crosssectional survey research using a self-report questionnaire involving 40 Likert-type items was used to collect data from 5,042 university students in China who voluntarily participated.Analysis with Rasch rating scale model found the data fitted the Rasch model well.The results showed that Chinese university students considered themselves as having acquired most of the competencies to some extent,especially in Character and Civic Literacy and Interpersonal Communication,but less so in Global and International Perspective and Creativity and Problem Solving.
文摘This is a benchmark study that evaluates the competencies of Catanduanes State University(CSU)Accounting Graduates prior to the implementation of ASEAN Integration in 2015.The evaluation was based on CMO No.3,issued in 2007.Then,the subjects were mapped from the prescribed subjects in the BS Curriculum to the CPA Licensure Examination subjects to spot the congruentcy;lastly,this paper identified the areas of competency of the Accounting Graduates using the rating obtained in the licensure examination as a standard,this is based on RA 9298,the Philippine Accountancy Law,Section 16.The relevance of the study in the present time,is to come up with a better strategic action plan based on the findings and provide practical recommendations that can enhance the capabilities of the next batches of accounting graduates of the University.Descriptive Content Analysis was used in generating and examining qualitative and quantitative data through secondary resources.Based on the CMO No.3,series of 2017,results revealed that General Education develops competencies in intellectual skills,personal,interpersonal,and communication skills.Business Education develops competencies on economic,quantitative methods,business statistics,organization behavior,marketing,and operations management,professional values,and ethics.Information Technology Education System develops competencies on internal control in computer-based systems,development standards,and practices for business systems,management of the adoption,implementation and use of IT,evaluation of computer business systems,and managing the security of information.Accounting and Finance develops competencies on business law and taxation,financial management,financial management,financial accounting theory and practice,cost determination,analysis and control,management accounting and consultancy services,advanced accounting,auditing,and assurance services.After mapping the BSA Curriculum and CPA Licensure Examination subjects,it was found that BSA Curriculum General and Business Education are integrated in all subjects given in the CPA Licensure Examination.The Information Technology Education is integrated in the CPA Licensure Examination subjects such as integrated in Theory of Accounts,Management Services,and Auditing Theory.The Accounting and Finance Education is integrated in Business Law and Taxation,Theory of Accounts,Practical Accounting Problems I,Practical Accounting Problems II,Management Services,Auditing Theory,and Auditing Problems.It was ascertained also that majority of CSU Accounting Graduates from 2013-2015 have strong competencies in financial accounting,management accounting,financial management related services,capital budgeting and techniques,project feasibility studies,and application of the concepts,standards,techniques,and methodology applicable to management/consultancy services or problems likely to be encountered in the real practice.However,accounting graduates have weak competencies in assurance and related services,applying audit standards,techniques,procedures of independent audit of medium-sized service,trading,or manufacturing concern,financial accounting techniques and methodologies to problems,and legal implications of business transactions,business associations,and negotiable instruments related to accounting and auditing and practical application of basic principles of taxation.Majority of the accounting graduates have failed in the subjects such as Auditing Theory,Auditing Problems I,and Business Law and Taxation.Given these findings,it is recommended:(1)reviewing the current competencies of the CSU accounting students against the target through a competency plan and track learning activities in Auditing and Assurance Services,Assurance Principles,Professional Ethics,and Good Governance,Advanced Financial Accounting,Part I,Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting,Part II,Accounting for Governmental,Not-for-Profit entities,and Specialized Industries,Law on Business Organization,Law on Negotiable Instruments,Sales Agency,Labour and Other Commercial Laws,and Business Transfer Taxes where majority of the students failed in the CPA Licensure Examination;(2)enhancing or improving teaching methodologies on the subjects in BSA curriculum such as Management Accounting and Consultancy Services,Auditing and Assurance Services,Business Law and Taxation,and Financial Accounting Practice where majority of Accounting graduates showed weak competencies;(3)conducting a thorough investigation of the factors that caused the failure of the students in the said subjects,then,strengthening the admission and retention policy;(4)instructor/professor should enhance their syllabi to include recent developments,trends,and innovations in teaching materials,and methodologies to avoid obsolescence.

文摘Introduction:Nurse specialists are being cultivated and trained in China to cope with the international development of nursing discipline.However,an empirical summary and reviews of literature have shown a lack of core competence evaluation standards for emergency nurse specialists(ENSs)in China.ENS training has been conducted in several regions without any effective competence evaluation standards.This paper describes the development and psychometric testing of the Core Competence Evaluation Standards for Emergency Nurse Specialists(CCESENS)in the Chinese context.Methods:Several rigorous research methods were applied.The proposed evaluation process consisted of two phases with seven steps.First,the Core Competence Framework Model for Emergency Nurse Specialist(CCFMENS)was established,and 118 items were generated through a review of literature,theoretical analysis,and expert interviews.Drafts of the dimensions and items were evaluated by two-round Delphi methods.Analysis hierarchy process was used to determine the weight of each dimension.Second,field testing was performed among 138 senior emergency nurses.Internal consistency and correlation analysis were applied to test the reliability and validity of the model.Results:The CCESENS consisted of five first-level dimensions,16 second-level dimensions,and 55 items.Cronbach's a coefficient of overall standards was 0.972,and each dimension ranged from 0.508 to 0.972.Expert content validity index was 0.818,and the correlation coefficients of the five first-level dimensions with the overall standards CCESENS ranged from 0.701 to 0.886(P<0.05).Discussion:The CCESENS demonstrated sound internal consistency reliability,content validity,and construct validity.The proposed standard provides an objective standard and reference for assessing,training,and evaluating core competence of ENS.
文摘Six representative interpretations about the core competence of the corporate proposed by the researchers both at home and abroad from different perspectives are introduced,which includes "Resource theory","Capacity theory","Integration theory of assets and mechanism","Theory of consumer surplus","Theory of institutions and systems" and "Theory of innovation". It is pointed out that although these interpretations play an active role in enriching the theory of core competence,it still faces the problems to further deepen these interpretations:the first problem is how to give a precise definition;the second is about its extension;the third is on the logical and practical relationship between the production mechanism and its sustainable competitive advantages;the fourth is the problems in the production process and the corresponding management. Both the systematic essence and features of core competence are introduced:the first is the system self-organization process produced within the corporate;the second is the interaction between corporate system and environment;it needs a growing and evolution process. This paper briefly describes the essence of core competence of agricultural high-tech corporate,introduces its five features including systematicness,integration,non-imitation,ductility and non-equilibrium,and finally explains its component parts,mainly including corporate culture system,technological innovation system,human resource system,management capability system,corporate production and marketing system,financial capability system and adaptability system.
文摘Purpose:To evaluate the effectiveness of nursing core competency standard education in undergraduate nursing training.Methods:Forty-two nursing undergraduates from the class of 2007 were recruited as the control group receiving conventional teaching methods,while 31 students from the class of 2008 were recruited as the experimental group receiving nursing core competency standard education.Teaching outcomes were evaluated using comprehensive theoretical knowledge examination and objective structured clinical examination.Results:The performance in the health information collection,physical assessment,scenario simulation and communication in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(p<0.05).Conclusions:Nursing core competency standard education is helpful for the training of nursing students'core competencies.

文摘Under the circumstance of buyer’s market,the general core competence of supply chain is radically determined by the core competence of distributors facing customers directly.Based on the analysis of channel management and creation model,the traditional Manufacture-Distributor relationship is discussed including the disadvantages of common distributor Core Competence e- valuation.Meanwhile,In this paper,the Logarithm Triangular Fuzzy Number-AHP method is creatively used to evaluate the strategic distributor Core Competence evaluation index system.This method also overcomes some disadvantages that experts can di- rectly give definite numbers when the traditional AHP method is used to value certainty and measure the qualitative index.More important,it is a scientific qualitative and quantitative evaluation tool.Then the real cases are researched based on all discussions above.
