Exploration on the Construction of University Logistics Information Service Platform

Logistics information construction in colleges and universities is an important part of smart campus. This paper expounds the current situation and existing problems of the logistics information construction in colleges and universities. Taking China University of Geosciences (Beijing) as an example, this paper discusses the construction principles and Personnel organization structure of the logistics information construction, and provides the construction scheme of the logistics information service platform. It can be used for reference for the implementation of logistics information construction in other colleges and universities.

Budget Allocation for Information Logistics in Taiwan Residents University

This research serves the primary purpose to support the reform of administration budgets for Taiwan Residents universities to optimize their document processing system. The main research method applied is quantitative analysis to explore the relationships between document quantity and each administration spending. The research observes that Taiwan Residents universities in general rely more on electronic systems to manage documents. Therefore, as proven by correlation test and regression model, personnel spending and miscellaneous spending are the only two categories which can help predict document flows. However, only miscellaneous spending is positively related to document quantity, so this category should be allocated with more funding. Personnel spending, on the contrary, should be less. For the long-term budgeting strategy, Taiwan Residents universities should begin with discovering problems from the existing system, design an allocation plan, execute the plan, and finally evaluate the outcomes. This project is on the first to explore the new academic research field which relates to logistics, budgeting, and university administration.

Dilemma and Exploration of Resource Sharing in University Museums of Natural History——using Natural History Museum of Zhengzhou Normal University as an example

A natural history museum is a museum for collection, researching and presenting natural environment and natural heritages about natural history. In the research, based on the analysis on necessity of university museums’ services to society in resources sharing, the difficulties and dilemmas were summarized in sharing resources of museums and the approaches for resources sharing were explored with the case of Natural History Museum of Zhengzhou Normal University in order to investigate the way for better services of university museum to the public.

Computer Science at University 2.0: What the Future Holds and How We Can Shape It

Alongside the development of computer science,many fields like engineering,finance and the natural sciences increasingly leverage computer science techniques to facilitate their own evolution.As a result,students now need to have a good grasp of computer science skills in order to keep pace with the new forms of working in these other fields.Therefore,higher education need to change to support this transformation.Computer Science 2.0 refers to this new way of educating that facilitates these interdisciplinary connections.This creates exciting opportunities for students and staff to interact across disciplines in teaching,research,and transfer to create the so-called University 2.0.

Panel Discussion on“ The Role of Computer Science in University Development Strategy”

At the end of the keynotes during the second Global Forum of Development of Computer Science,a panel discussion was held to encourage further discussion on ways for universities to adapt to the rapidly changing computer science field.Five deans of top computer science departments participated,including the moderator.The discussions were guided along three topics,namely the role of computer science departments in universities today,the nature of computer science as a fundamental discipline or an applied one,and computer science education.Out of these topics,the panelists mainly focused on the interdisciplinary nature of computer science in teaching,research,and industry.The panelists agreed about ways to prepare for the interdisciplinary future,for example by establishing new research centers,introducing projectbased curricula,and collaborating with industry while keeping the campus vibrant.They also pointed out that universities may be under equipped for preparing future professionals to keep up with rapid new advances,especially in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

高校校园社交媒体平台功能需求的KANO模型分析——以“Pocket University”为例

社交媒体在高校学生生活中扮演重要角色,在这一形势下,围绕校园生活开发的高校校园社交媒体也逐渐在学生中得到应用。研究学生对于该类平台的功能需求,对推动高校校园社交媒体平台的健康发展具有积极意义。本文以PU平台为例,在参考有关社交媒体及其功能需求文献的基础上,以KNAO模型为理论基础,借助访谈、问卷调查对高校学生的PU平台各功能项的质量属性进行归纳,根据各类质量属性分析其功能需求,最后基于研究结论对平台改进提出相关建议。

Knowledge-oriented modeling for influencing factors of battle damage in military industrial logistics:An integrated method

Modeling influencing factors of battle damage is one of essential works in implementing military industrial logistics simulation to explore battle damage laws knowledge.However,one of key challenges in designing the simulation system could be how to reasonably determine simulation model input and build a bridge to link battle damage model and battle damage laws knowledge.In this paper,we propose a novel knowledge-oriented modeling method for influencing factors of battle damage in military industrial logistics,integrating conceptual analysis,conceptual modeling,quantitative modeling and simulation implementation.We conceptualize influencing factors of battle damage by using the principle of hierarchical decomposition,thus classifying the related battle damage knowledge logically.Then,we construct the conceptual model of influencing factors of battle damage by using Entity-Relations hip approach,thus describing their interactions reasonably.Subsequently,we extract the important influencing factors by using social network analysis,thus evaluating their importance quantitatively and further clarifying the elements of simulation.Finally,we develop an agent-based military industry logistics simulation system by taking the modeling results on influencing factors of battle damage as simulation model input,and obtain simulation model output,i.e.,new battle damage laws knowledge,thus verifying feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.The results show that this method can be used to support human decision-making and action.

How the University Curriculum Reform Serves for Employment

Confronted with the globalization, nowadays, the level of economy and science develops rapidly, so it is indispensable to carry out the task of cultivating enough talents. In order to satisfy the social development and cater for market demands, university curriculum reform should be more frequently served for employment, avoiding being always confined to the textbooks and learning pure theory knowledge through memory. In that way, a group of talents who have no knowledge actually will be cultivated, because something that the students learn at the university deviate from the society and after they work on the guard,they need learn the relevant contents from the beginning. To a certain degree, students' career developments are possible to be influenced by the direction and quality of university curriculum reform. To link the university curriculum reform and employment development better, this essay will put forward the effective advice from three aspects.

Is There an Association between Social Connectedness, Social Identity, Alcohol Consumption and Mental Health among Young University Students?

Social connectedness has been identified as a protective factor for a range of health issues however the literature is not conclusive. The high prevalence of hazardous alcohol consumption and mental health problems among university students along with the potential for the university as a setting for health promotion prompted this study. The study aims to explore the association between levels of alcohol consumption, mental health, social connectedness and social identity among university students. Online data were collected from a random sample of university undergraduate students (n = 2506) aged 18 - 24 years old. Outcomes were measured using the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale, Social Connectedness Scale, Social Identity Scale and measures of paid employment and study (hours), and participation in sports and other clubs. The majority of students had consumed alcohol in the last 12 months (87%). Of these students 38% reported to drink at hazardous levels (AUDIT ≥ 8). When all factors were considered: gender, living arrangements, being a domestic student, hours spent at work, participation in university and community sport, higher levels of psychological distress, higher levels of social connectedness, and lower levels of social identity were significant predictors of hazardous alcohol consumption. The finding highlights the need for the inclusion of integrated, multi-strategy health promotion interventions on campus. Further exploration of the associations between social connectedness and social identity as influences of health behaviors will better inform the development of targeted strategies for specific groups.

Characteristic Changes Defined via Comparison of the Big-Five Personalities in Japanese University Freshmen from Years 2000 to 2016

Introduction: With the arrival of the 21st century, drastic worldwide changes to natural, economic and social events have occurred. These include the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the global financial crisis. Furthermore, Japan experienced the introduction of a specific education system. In this study, we traced and compared the psychological characters of university freshmen for 16 years (years 2000-2016) using Big-Five personalities inventory (Japanese version). Methods: A total of 1189 physically and mentally healthy university freshmen participated in this study. They were divided into four groups according to the year they entered university. They completed a self-filled questionnaire, Big-Five personalities inventory, which consists of Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism, Conscientiousness and Openness. Result and Discussion: Compared with the year 2008, Extraversion nominally increased in 2012, however, it statistically significantly decreased in 2016. Agreeableness notably decreased from 2000 to 2008, then showed an increase in 2012. Compared to 2000, Neuroticism was statistically significantly lower in 2008 and 2016. Such statistically significant differences were not observed in the other two personalities. The personalities of university freshmen have changed in the last 16 years, which may be been caused by drastic changes. However, further research (e.g., larger-scale studies or studies including other university students) is required to support the current findings.

Motivations of Using Social Media Through Smartphones Among University Students in the United Arab Emirates

The aim of the study was to investigate gratifications of using social media among university students in the United Arab Emirates. Adopting the uses and gratification approach, the study investigates how the students utilize social media to gratify their personal, social, psychological, and educational needs. The study uses a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 420 students from two universities in the UAE: University of Sharjah and Zayed University. In each university, two colleges were selected to represent art colleges and sciences colleges. The findings of the study show that 69.3% of the students are accessing social media more than five hours daily. 79.0% of the students access the social media through their smartphones. The main social media accessed are WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. The main reasons of using social media are seeking information, communicating with friends, consuming time, and following up public affairs.

Social Media Use Among Youth and Innovations of Moral Education Work With University Students in China

The new media especially the use of mobile phone for information has a profound impact on contemporary university students＇ behavior, psychology, and way of thinking. This article will elaborate on the moral education work with university students to explore innovative ideas and innovative approaches from the perspective of interpersonal communication, political science, and sociology under the new media environment. Then the article will put forward countermeasures and improvement strategies.

University Social Responsibility from the Perspective of the Different Stakeholders

The objective of this research is to analyze social responsibility from the stakeholder’s perspective to establish whether universities have advanced in their conception. The research is exploratory and conclusive descriptive of the cross-sectional sample. The internal and external stakeholders of the public universities domiciled in Quito were taken into account. The results showed that university managers relate this concept with actions of connection with community, the relevance of the academic offer and the accountability, while students relate this concept with teaching in values and philanthropic activities. For administrative personnel instead, university social responsibility （USR） is related to work benefits. On the other hand, the business sector relates this concept with the answer to their needs of innovation. As expected, representatives of government agencies highlight the university’s responses that are necessary to become the engine of economic, productive and social transformation of the country. It is concluded that USR is applied in a partial way, which translates into management models that do not incorporate it as an explicit variable of their actions.

Is This Development and Freedom？ Managing Sex Risk Behaviour in the Era of HIV and AIDS at a University in South Africa

This study explored HIV risk perception of university students. A descriptive study design amongst a convenience sample of registered students at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University （NMMU）, who gave voluntary informed consent to participate, and with access to the student portal was employed. Frequencies and percentages were used to describe categorical data. The Pearson correlation co-efficient （r） and Spearman＇s rank co-efficient were used to measure the strength or degree of the relationship between variables and identify the significance of the correlation between two variables respectively. Results indicate that males in the sample （n = 619） are more likely to acknowledge self-perceived risk than females. This paper concludes that management strategies should be put in place in all universities in order to help the students stay HIV negative. Unless HIV and AIDS are institutionalised, the management of risk behaviour will prove difficult.

Research on the Status Quo and Countermeasures of Socialized Service Based on University Library

With the continuous improvement of China’s social and economic level,education,especially college education,has been highly valued by people and has achieved certain results.For the development of colleges and universities,library construction is an important part of it and to a certain extent promotes the stable development of colleges and universities.Judging from the actual development of domestic university libraries,many university libraries have gradually entered the path of socialized service.Due to the profound influence of traditional education mode and test-oriented education concept,many university libraries in China are currently developing socialization.There are some problems that need to be solved in the service work process.The existence of these problems makes many domestic university libraries unable to play their own roles and individual values,and it also seriously affects the rapid development of China’s college education.Based on this situation,the author makes an in-depth analysis and discussion on the status quo and optimization strategies of the socialization service of university libraries in China,hoping to provide reference for the social service work of college libraries nationwide.

The Difficulties and Obstacles of Socialized Service in University Library

University library plays an important role in serving all lecturers and students as it is a place where books and other information resources are collected and gathered for the purposes of reading and reference.As time goes by,university libraries have gradually open to the public to fully make use of its function as an educational and social platform.The socialized service of university library has the advantages of promoting cultural virtue and moral integrity to the public.However,there remain many issues during the development of socialized service in the university library.Besides,analyzing the difficulties and obstacles faced in socialized services of the university library,this paper aims to provide countermeasures to solve the problems.

Awareness and attitudes regarding Helicobacter pylori infection among university students:a national cross-sectional survey

Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection is one of the most common chronic bacterial infections all over the world.University students are a group with strong comprehensive ability.Their cognition and behavior can exert great impact on society.However,up to now,reports on the awareness and attitudes regarding H.pylori infection among university students are scarce.This study aimed to survey dietary,habits,knowledge,and attitudes towards H.pylori infection.A total of 5794 participants,including undergraduates,postgraduates,and doctoral students,were recruited from the top 100 universities in China.A selfconstructed questionnaire was used to assess the knowledge and attitudes of students toward H.pylori infection and its impact.In our study,most of the population preferred dining in the canteen(69.6%),whereas 20.6% chose restaurants or takeaway.Up to 24.1% of the respondents had at least one lifestyle habit associated with H.pylori colonization.Almost half had at least one digestive symptom related to H.pylori infection.Most students were aware of its association with gastritis(84.4%)and peptic ulcer(86.6%).However,only half of them were aware of its association with gastric cancer(57.9%).Furthermore,only 14.1% of the respondents had been tested for H.pylori,and 25.1% of them tested positive.The H.pylori-detection rate was higher in Hunan province compared with Guangdong and Jilin provinces.Regarding knowledge of H.pylori,65.4% of the respondents had known about it,and 24.3% correctly answered all questions.When comparing the acquisition of H.pylori knowledge between tested and untested students,32.5% of the tested participants answered all questions correctly,which was significantly higher than the untested group(13.1%).There was no significant difference between genders in H.pylori knowledge and detection.University students are highly educated population.If they were fully aware of the harm of H.pylori infection,their parents,friends,and even future families would benefit,thus reducing the incidence of H.pylori infection,as well as gastric cancer and healthcare finances.This survey not only investigated but also spread the awareness of H.pylori among university students,which is of great medical,economic and sociological importance.

Study on the Logistics Management Problems in Colleges and Universities

According to the actual situation, in this paper, the logistics work in colleges and universities is deeply considered and discussed, and the main problems in the present logistics management are studied based on fully understanding the logistics management specialties, and then the measures and methods for solving the above problems are proposed. Hopefully, a due effect is played on the quality of the logistics management in colleges and universities at the present time.

我国物流业2023年发展回顾与2024年展望

2023年,我国经济实现恢复发展,物流需求稳步复苏,物流业在国民经济中的地位持续提升,物流供给质量稳步提高,物流运行环境持续改善,现代物流发展模式稳步转换,企业竞争力持续增强,全行业正在进入新的阶段。主要表现在八个方面:一是物流市场实现恢复增长;二是提质增效降本稳步推进;三是供应链物流引领转型发展;四是一流企业提升产业竞争力;五是创新驱动打造新质生产力;六是物流网络布局均衡发展;七是绿色低碳物流影响提升;八是制度保障优化营商环境。但是,我国物流业也面临一系列比较紧迫的问题,结构调整叠加有效需求偏弱,物流需求仍处于恢复期,需求不足企业占比较高,企业经营普遍承压,社会物流总额增速低于GDP增速,短期内行业新动能难以撬动存量大市场,现代物流正进入温和增长阶段,需要妥善应对。我国高度重视现代物流发展,建设现代物流体系是建设物流强国、构建新发展格局的重要支撑和保障。2023年底的中央经济工作会议强调,要有效降低全社会物流成本。尽管经过多年持续推进物流降本工作,但是无论从经济结构、货物结构、产业布局等宏观层面看,还是从市场主体、方式手段、主要环节、政策措施等微观方面看,我国未来一段时期进一步推动降本的难度仍然较大。为进一步提升物流业竞争力、有效降低全社会物流成本、助力实体经济高质量发展,必须改变我国传统物流低价格、低效率、低效益的现实,通过激发物流需求侧变革动力、再造物流全链条组织方式、用好物流新质生产力、发力现代化基础设施、支撑供应链韧性安全,打造我国现代物流发展新模式,激发产业升级新活力。可以预计,2024年及未来一段时期,我国物流业将呈现出一系列新趋势:一是大盘稳定,市场保持温和增长;二是结构调整,需求贡献持续分化;三是提质增效,物流降本仍有空间;四是产业融合,全链条系统化整合;五是市场导向,规模化集约化发展;六是韧性安全,保供稳链更为迫切;七是设施联通,物流网络高效畅通;八是创新驱动,数字化转型提速;九是绿色低碳,物流社会价值提升;十是多方合力,行业共治统筹协调。

中国社会物流成本占GDP比重下降成因实证研究——基于因素分析法

为探究2004—2022年中国社会物流成本占GDP比重趋于下降的成因,在物流成本分类基础上对社会物流成本占GDP比重作了指标分解,并采用差额分析法测算物流需求系数、货物单位价值、平均运输距离、物流费率的变动对社会物流成本占GDP比重变化的影响。研究发现,2022年中国社会物流成本占GDP比重相比2004年有所降低,主要源于运输成本占GDP比重的下降和货物单位价值的提高,而物流需求系数、平均运输距离、物流费率的变动均使社会物流成本占GDP比重上升;在运输费率、保管费率、管理费率中,只有运输费率的变动起到了降低社会物流成本占GDP比重的作用;物流需求系数以2013年为拐点先升后降,其影响社会物流成本占GDP比重变化的方向发生了阶段性转折。降低社会物流成本占GDP比重绝不能通过去工业化或过度追求经济服务化的方式实现,而必须在保持制造业比重基本稳定的前提下稳步推进。同时,还须妥善处理好物流服务质量与成本的关系,从两者最佳组合上谋求物流效益的提高,防止物流降成本以牺牲服务质量为代价。展望未来,中国社会物流成本占GDP比重仍有继续下降的空间与潜力,可从结构优化、制度改革、科技赋能、资源整合、供应链协同等方面入手,采取合理有效措施进一步降低社会物流成本占GDP比重。
