The Application and Prospects of Digital Visualization in Urban Public Building Space Design

With the development and innovation of digital information technology, digital visualization plays an increasingly important role in the design of urban public building spaces. This paper explores the application of digital visualization technology in the design of urban public building spaces and looks ahead to future trends. Firstly, it analyzes the challenges in the design of urban public building spaces, including extensive professional involvement, complex functional layout requirements, rational emergency evacuation routes, multidimensional analysis of architectural spatial environments, and appropriate selection of decorative materials. Next, it introduces the applications of digital visualization technology in showcasing visual design and expression, optimizing spatial functional layouts, enhancing the rationality of evacuation routes, analyzing dynamic environmental impacts and energy consumption, and improving the effectiveness of material selection in the design of urban public building spaces. Lastly, it discusses the prospects of extended reality (XR) technology, interactive design using data platforms, and AI technology in the design of public building spaces. Genius Loci of Urban Public Spaces: A Case Study of Daihu Lake Landscape Planning in New Shouzhan District, Changle City, Fujian Province

Connotations of genius loci of urban public spaces were explored, geographical position and composition of Daihu landscape design in New Shouzhan District, Changle City, Fujian Province was introduced. Design concepts, layouts and patterns were summarized by combining with geographical and cultural conditions of the study area. Functional zoning of Daihu landscape design was analyzed, human-centered site planning stressed to realize functions of new urban public spaces, regression of cultural and humanistic properties of these spaces, so as to provide diverse options for the future construction of urban public spaces.

Urban Public Spaces and Design of Historical and Cultural Buildings——Series II of Urban Public Space Design

This paper summarized concept and role of urban public space, highlighted its role in emotional exchange, cultural exchange, and business communication, and the significance of showing inside image of the city in terms of morality and residents' quality. Combining with design of historical and cultural buildings, the paper explored the forms of historical and cultural buildings in urban public spaces from the perspectives of administration square, religious square, cultural square and commercial street, so as to design "human-concerned" urban public spaces that meet human needs and reflect personality of the city.

Impact of Urban Public Service Facilities on Distribution Pattern of Housing Price

The impact of different public service facilities is obtained by investigating the infl uence of public service facilities on distribution pattern of housing price in 25 cities.According to the survey results,public education service facilities have the highest weight and the greatest impact,which also refl ects the root of“school district housing fever”from the side.Public sports service facilities have the lowest score when compared with other options.This is not because public sports service facilities are not important,but is determined by actual situation of social development and actual living standard of residents in China.From the improvement and enhancement of urban public service facilities,the construction of public service facilities should be convenient for people’s education,health,culture and entertainment.

The Development of Intelligent Operation Method of Urban Public Infrastructure Driven by Accurate Spatio-temporal Information

Urban public infrastructure is an important basis for urban development.It is of great significance to deepen the research on intelligent management and control of urban public infrastructure.Spatio-temporal information contains the law of state evolution of urban public infrastructure,which is the information base of intelligent control of infrastructure.Due to the needs of operation management and emergency response,efficient sharing and visualization of spatio-temporal information are important research contents of comprehensive management and control of urban public infrastructure.On the basis of summarizing the theoretical research and application in recent years,the basic methods and current situation of the acquisition and analysis of spatio-temporal information,the forecast and early warning,and the intelligent control of urban public infrastructure are reviewed in this paper.

Evaluation and Promotion of the Service Capacity of Urban Public Open Spaces Based on Improving Accessibility:A Case Study of Shenyang City,China

The service capacity of urban public open spaces is an important indicator of the justness and soundness of the allocation of public space resources,such as parks and green spaces,in the process of urban development.Improving the service capacity of urban public open spaces is conductive to healthy,sustainable urban development.In this study,taking Shengyang City,China as a case study,a Gaussian-based two-step floating catchment area method(2 SFCA)is used to calculate an accessibility index and identify residential areas with a poor accessibility to urban public open spaces.Then,a particle swarm algorithm(PSA)is used to optimize the locations of new open space developments.Finally,the optimization results are verified using the analytic network process(ANP).The results show that the service capacity of public open spaces in the center of Shenyang City(covering six districts)is relatively low and exhibits an uneven spatial distribution.In the service scope of the existing urban public open spaces,the accessibility for 48.6%of the residential estates is moderately poor or poor.The layout is optimized when the number of optimization points is set to 8.These points are mainly located in old town areas such as the Tiexi,Huanggu,and Dadong districts.The optimization increases the green space area accessible by motor vehicles(60 min),bicycles(60 min),and walking(30 min)by 4.67%,5.38%,and 8.03%of the study area,respectively.Finally,green space planning recommendations are offered from two perspectives:spatial layout and transport system optimization.

This paper chooses Tianjin, the important city in Bohai rim area as the example for research. Tianjin urban public safety planning includes not only comprehensive disaster prevention and reduction, effectively preventing and reducing disasters, ensuring the safety of the life and property of the residents, but also sharing resources and facilities from the view of megalopolis, eliminating hidden area troubles, reducing whole environment risks and so on.

Effective Instructions in Design Process of Urban Public Spaces to Promote Sustainable Development

Public spaces in cities have long been the basis used for the expression of cultural values and social relations. Cultural and social systems have an old two-sided relation. This means that the establishment and continuity of social relationships strengthen the values and norms;on the other hand, culture determines the conditions and the formation of social relationships. Therefore, to create a bonding connection between people and the city, urban public spaces are the focal points which still need to be noticed more effectively by designers and managers. There are components which help the designers design more efficient urban public spaces and, as a consequence, there will be more vitality in cities. In today conditions, sustainability issues, as the solutions of having better future conditions, can considerably affect these components and give the society the opportunity of having more capable public spaces. Sum of studies in the field of sustainability and the subsequent sustainable public spaces researches mainly express three components of environment, economy and society, among which environment section is more significant than two others, so that the importance of climatic design components has been tangibly noted in public space designing. The aim of this paper is reviewing urban public spaces and sustainability notions and, as the result, reaching to some instructions for designing sustainable urban public spaces which have important impacts on these types of places. By doing this, not only the possibility of getting closer to the identity of cities, but also the necessary ground for the strong presence of sustainable urban public spaces in cities, are provided. The research method is descriptive-analytic and library research method is used for data collecting.

Planning of Urban Public Disaster-prevention Green Spaces: A Case Study of Living Water Park in Chengdu City

Based on disaster-prevention functions of urban public green spaces, necessity and significance of emergency shelters in a city were analyzed. Taking Living Water Park in Chengdu for example, planning of urban public disaster-prevention green spaces was analyzed to further explore planning of urban disaster-prevention green space system and refugee spaces, and provide instructions for the planning and construction of urban disaster-prevention green spaces in China.

A Preliminary Study on the Inducements of Urban Public Landscape Fragmentation and Its Countermeasures

This study focused on the urban public landscape fragmentation in the process of rapid urbanization in China. By sorting out the management and control indicators and methods of urban planning management departments for residential land and comparing the actual practices and internal design principles of the mainstream developers in land development and construction based on this method, it is believed that the phenomenon of landscape space fragmentation from the city itself in the residential quarter in the city is caused by the mismatch between the design strategy of the developer and the overall demand of the urban space. Lack of government departments’ planning for the integration of urban public resources is the inducement. In view of these problems, several solutions were put forward.

Urban Public Space Development in Harbin Driven by Music Culture Intervention

"Social event driving" has become a way to promote urban development, create urban public spaces and create a city image. As one of the important big cities in northeastern China, Harbin enjoys the reputation of "The Music City", and its public space development is inextricably linked with the driving of music culture. This paper started with the analysis of the correlation between the development of urban public spaces and the development of music culture in Harbin, and studied the influence and driving role of music culture on the construction and development of urban public spaces.

Comparison of Chinese and Foreign Urban Public Security Treatment Mechanisms and Analysis of Policy References

From the viewpoint of disaster prevention in the urban areas, this paper analyzes the value of urban public security system, selects typical cases to make a comparison of Chinese and foreign public security treatment mechanisms, and makes systematic summarization of the Chinese and foreign historic experiences. Then, the paper puts forward some designs on structure of the Chinese urban public security system structure. This paper is of the opinion that at present the management of urban public security concerning unexpected incidents should be strengthened. The effective way is to set up the sound urban public security system, urban public security mechanism and related laws and regulations.

Resilience assessment model for urban public transportation systems based on structure and function

Urbanization and the increasing frequency of extreme climates affect the sustainability of urban public transportation systems,and improving resilience is one of the primary directions for sustainable development.To scientifically assess the resilience of urban public transportation systems,a resilience assessment model based on structure and function is established in this study.This model mathematically quantifies and simulates the structural and functional changes in public transportation systems under disruption scenarios and provides a comprehensive assessment of six abilities:1)structural resistance,2)structural recoverability,3)functional resistance,4)functional recoverability,5)passenger adaptability,and 6)management adaptability.Depending on the initial failure stations,this model can simulate the resilience of a public transportation system under various scenarios.This model is applied to assess the resilience of public transportation systems in a provincial capital city under an equipment failure scenario.The results show that the impact of equipment failure on resilience varies according to the metro lines,and improvement strategies for functional recoverability and management adaptability are proposed.The weaknesses in the resilience of urban public transportation systems can be identified using the proposed model,which helps provide strategies for improving the capacity to face perturbations.

On the Subsidy Mechanisms for Urban Public Traffi

：There is no doubt that the urban public traffic operations in China suffer losses and hence it isnecessary to study resonable subsidy mechanisms for the urban public traffic. On the basis of analyzing themodes of the urban public traffic management, we classify the financial losses into the policy loss and themanagement loss, according to whether the cost can be compensated or not. In addition, a series of criteriaare introduced in order to efficiently decide the amount of subsidy. Finally, this paper also examines the wayof bidding administration, which is considered to be promising in the future of urban public traffic.

Survey and Countermeasures on the Public Facilities in Urban Parks——with Urban Parks in Nanjing City as Study Cases

Urban park is an important outdoor leisure space for urban citizens. The public facility in urban park is a functional environmental element connecting human beings and environment. Through analyzing the present situation and application of public facilities in urban parks of Nanjing City, the existing problems and countermeasures were pointed out, in order to provide theoretical references for the construction of public facility in the urban parks.

QoE-based video segments caching strategy in urban public transportation system

With the rapid development of vehicle-based applications, entertainment videos have gained popularity for passengers on public vehicles. Therefore, how to provide high quality video service for passengers in typical public transportation scenarios is an essential problem. This paper proposes a quality of experience(QoE)-based video segments caching(QoE-VSC) strategy to guarantee the smooth watching experience of passengers. Consequently, this paper considers a jointly caching scenario where the bus provides the beginning segments of a video, and the road side unit(RSU) offers the remaining for passengers. To evaluate the effectiveness, QoE hit ratio is defined to represent the probability that the bus and RSUs jointly provide passengers with desirable video segments successfully. Furthermore, since passenger volume change will lead to different video preferences, a deep reinforcement learning(DRL) network is trained to generate the segment replacing policy on the video segments cached by the bus server. And the training target of DRL is to maximize the QoE hit ratio, thus enabling more passengers to get the required video. The simulation results prove that the proposed method has a better performance than baseline methods in terms of QoE hit ratio and cache costs.

Important progress and future prospects for studies on urban public recreational space in China

As the main sites of urban residents’ recreational activity in a mass leisure era,urban public recreational space (UPRS) is the primary component of urban public spatial systems.To satisfy current demands for the construction of livable cities and to meet the challenges of UPRS development in an urbanizing context,a scientific and systematic review of the latest developments in UPRS research is important for developing this field.Based on 1264 papers from the China National Knowledge Internet and the Web of Science from 1985 to 2018,this study examined research developments on UPRS in China.Through a quantitative literature analysis,we divided UPRS-related research in China into three stages of development: the starting period (1985–2000),the growth period (2001–2009),and the consolidation period (2010–2018).Next,we identified nine “hot” research topics on UPRS and reviewed developments in each of these.These topics were the classification of UPRS,spatial structure and layout,comprehensive evaluation,planning and development,the impacts of UPRS development,spatial–temporal evolution laws and mechanisms,space imagery features,sustainable utilization,and governmental decision making on UPRS.We also systematically reviewed the research methods and spatial scales used in UPRS-related studies in China.In response to deficiencies in existing research,we put forward several suggestions regarding future research: Chinese UPRS studies should focus on basic theoretical research;construct a new research system that accounts for Chinese characteristics,based on interdisciplinary and multilevel spatial integration;develop a humanistic philosophy and build management systems for UPRS that can lead to the development of world-class cities based on a global vision.
