Eight sampling sites, including two woodlands, three animal yards, two roofs and one ro...The pollutant loads of surface runoff in an urban tourist area have been investigated for two years in the Wuhan City Zoo, China. Eight sampling sites, including two woodlands, three animal yards, two roofs and one road, were selected for sampling and study. The results indicate that pollutants ranked in a predictable order of decreasing load (e.g. animal yard〉roof〉woodland〉road), with animal yards acting as the key pollution source in the zoo. Pollutants were transported mainly by particulate form in runoff. Particulate nitrogen and particulate phosphorous accounted on average for 61%, 78% of total pollutant, respectively, over 13 monitored rainfall events. These results indicate the treatment practices should be implemented to improve particulate nutrient removal. Analysis of the M(V) curve indicate that no first flush effect existed in the surface runoff from pervious areas (e.g. woodland, animal ground yard), whereas a first flush effect was evident in runoff from impervious surfaces (e.g. animal cement yard, roof, road).展开更多

Based on constructing the measure...The coordinated development between touristization and urbanization is the key to optimizing regional industrial structure and building a long-term dynamic mechanism for urbanization. Based on constructing the measurement index system of touristization and urbanization level, the evaluation model on the coupled and coordinated degree is used in this paper to measure the inter-provincial pattern of the coupled and coordinated relationship between touristization and urbanization in 31 provinces and autonomous regions in China. The results show that the coupled and coordinated relationship between touristization and urbanization is significantly different in different regions, which presents a gradient decline pattern of the highest in the east, the lower in the middle and the lowest in the west. In the future, measures should be taken to promote the coordinated development between touristization and urbanization in accordance with the regional differences and actual development needs.展开更多

Urban parks are not only important green space for beautifying the urban environment, but become the space for urban residents to stroll about, playing an important role in improving people's quality of life. In order to improve the service efficiency of urban parks, the urban parks were studied from the perspective of the satisfaction of tourists. In this paper, Memorial Archway Park in Zhaoqing was selected for research, factors influencing tourist satisfaction with urban parks were evaluated from six aspects, namely landscape quality, infrastructure, recreation facilities, recreational environment, service level, and accessibility, the problems that caused the tourists to be dissatisfied with the urban park were summarized, and corresponding countermeasures were proposed.展开更多
