We will examine the advantages of smart textiles in healthcare settings, such as the real-time monitoring of vital signs through connected clothing. Additionally, we will introduce metadesign as a design approach that considers the interactions between users, healthcare environments, and technologies to create fulfilling experiences. By combining the advanced features of smart textiles with a patient-centered metadesign approach, it becomes possible to create care spaces that cater to patient needs. The objective of this article is to present the integration of metadesign in the design of smart textiles as a process aimed at enhancing the quality of the patient user experience. In this process, we will emphasize the collaborative approach and embrace technological innovation to harness the potential for ongoing improvement and provide users with high-quality experiences. Lastly, we will underscore the significance of adopting a multidimensional approach to evaluate the impact of smart textiles on the patient user experience.展开更多

Questions like what ways can be used to show end-users' or designers' internal knowledge to find out their needs, what methods can be applied to analysis of the process, etc., have not been answered yet. Therefore, how to analyze the tacit knowledge and grasp the true demand of users is one of the major issues to be solved in empathic design. The purpose of this research is to examine the difference of whether the "comparison table of schema changes for users at three points of time" was taken into consideration or not in an empathic design brainstorming meeting. The tests consist of the experimental group and the control group. The former did not refer to the comparison table; however, the latter used it for discussion. We performed a field study in an ongoing project of a medium-sized company in order to check if the proposed framework fits in the real world, and how some aspects of the integration of UX and Agile work in a real project. This led us to some conclusions situating contributions from practice to theory and back again. The framework is briefly described in this paper and consists of a set of practices, artifacts, and techniques derived from the literature. By combining theory and practice we were able to confirm some thoughts and identify some gaps—both in the company process and in our proposed framework—and drive our attention to new issues that need to be addressed. We believe that the most important issues in our case study are: UX designers cannot collaborate closely with developers because UX designers are working on multiple projects and that UX designers cannot work up front because they are too busy with too many projects at the same time.展开更多

With annual growth rate of 1.56%, this number increased yearly by 1,100 people. According to WHO, 285 million people worldwide were estimated to be visually impaired, which is 4.24% of overall population in 2012. From age distribution point of view, most visually impaired people, accounted for 2.76% of overall population, were above age 50. In average, there are 7 visually impaired people in every 100 people above 50 years old. In Taiwan, 549,000 people over age 50 are estimated to be visually impaired. Therefore we expect there is a large amount of visually impaired people. The main purpose of this research is to collect adaptability information on the cognitive model of senior visually impaired people on their work status, social participation status, and leisure activities via questionnaire survey. Furthermore, descriptive video service is used to as an accessible long-term care application for visually impaired senior users. To solve disability circumstances and improve home care quality through visually impaired APP POe (proof-of-concept). The result of this research will serve as an important basis for other researches in related study field, a reference for practice application. As a result in encouraging profit-seeking enterprises design a user oriented products. And even be an opening for mobile accessibility services benchmark on technology social care for disability and senior users.展开更多
