Elastic-wave equations are used in data simulation for modeling migration and imaging. In elastic wavefield numerical modeling, the rotated staggered-grid method (RSM) is a modification of the standard staggered-grid method (SSM). The variable-order method is based on the method of variable-length spatial operators and wavefield propagation, and it calculates the real dispersion error by adapting different finite-difference orders to different velocities. In this study, the variable-order rotated staggered-grid method (VRSM) is developed after applying the variable-order method to RSM to solve the numerical dispersion problem of RSM in low-velocity regions and reduce the computation cost. Moreover, based on theoretical dispersion and the real dispersion error of wave propagation calculated with the wave separation method, the application of the original method is extended from acoustic to shear waves, and the calculation is modified from theoretical to time-varying values. A layered model and an overthrust model are used to demonstrate the applicability of VRSM. We also evaluate the order distribution, wave propagation, and computation time. The results suggest that the VRSM order distribution is reasonable and VRSM produces high-precision results with a minimal computation cost.展开更多

The crucial part is that we prove the boundedness of the fractional integral operator on variable exponent Lebesgue spaces on spaces of homogeneous type. We obtain the first order Poincare inequalities for vector fields satisfying Hormander's condition in variable non-isotropic Sobolev spaces. We also set up the higher order Poincare inequalities with variable exponents on stratified Lie groups. Moreover, we get the Sobolev inequalities in variable exponent Sobolev spaces on whole stratified Lie groups. These inequalities are important and basic tools in studying nonlinear subelliptic PDEs with variable exponents such as the p(x)-subLaplacian. Our results are only stated and proved for vector fields satisfying Hormander's condition, but they also hold for Grushin vector fields as well with obvious modifications.展开更多

文摘In this paper, we will establish Poincare inequalities in variable exponent non-isotropic Sobolev spaces. Our results are only stated and proved for vector fields satisfying Hormander's condition, but they also hold for Grushin vector fields as well with obvious modifications.

文摘According to the relationship between truncation error and step size of two implicit second-order-derivative multistep formulas based on Hermite interpolation polynomial,a variable-order and variable-step-size numerical method for solving differential equations is designed. The stability properties of the formulas are discussed and the stability regions are analyzed. The deduced methods are applied to a simulation problem. The results show that the numerical method can satisfy calculation accuracy, reduce the number of calculation steps and accelerate calculation speed.
文摘By using the method developed in the paper [Georg. Inter. J. Sci. Tech., Volume 3, Issue 1 (2011), 107-129], it is obtained a representation in an explicit form of the weak solution of a linear partial differential equation of the higher order in two variables with initial condition whose coefficients are real-valued simple step functions.
