The frequency response ...Employing theory on vehicle-track coupled dynamics, the equation of motion of a vehicle-track vertical coupled system was established by combining frequency analysis and symplectic mathematics. The frequency response of the vehicle-track vertical coupled system was calculated under the excitation of the German low-interfer- ence spectrum, and the effects of the vehicle speed, vehicle suspension parameters, and track support parameters on the frequency response of the coupled system were studied. Results show that, under the excitation of the German low- interference spectrum, the vertical vibration of the car body is mainly concentrated in the low-frequency band, while that of the bogie has a wide frequency distribution, being strong from several Hertz to dozens of Hertz. The vertical vibrations of the wheel-rail force, wheelset, and track structure mainly occur at a frequency of dozens of Hertz. In general, the vertical vibration of the vehicle-track coupled system increases with vehicle speed, and the vertical vibrations of the car body and bogie obviously shift to higher frequency. Increasing the vehicle suspension stiffness increases the low- frequency vibrations of the vehicle system and track struc- ture. With an increase in vehicle suspension damping, the low-frequency vibrations of the car body and bogie and the vibrations of the wheel-rail vertical force and track structure decrease at 50-80 Hz, while the mid-frequency and high- frequency vibrations of the car body and bogie increase. Similarly, an increase in track stiffness amplifies the vertical vibrations of the wheel-rail force and track structure, while an increase in track damping effectively reduces the vertical vibrations of the wheel-rail vertical force and track structure.展开更多

This paper presents a 2-D rigid-flexible coupling model to calculate the vehicle's dynamic responses in that period. The vehicle was equivalent to a flexure beam with axial deformation. Hybrid coordinate and modal superposition methods were used to describe its large rigid displacement and small deformation. By the second Lagrange equation, the vehicle centroid's displacements, rotational angle and modal coordinates were chosen as generalized coordinates and then the vehicle 's rigid-flexible coupling dynamic equations were obtained. By numerical simulation, the results of vehicle's motion parameters and transverse internal loads were acquired. The calculation results showed that differences of the vehicle's motion parameters between the rigid-flexible coupling model and the rigid body assumption are noticeable and the peak magnitude of the vehicle's transverse internal loads in the rigid-flexible coupling model is higher remarkably than that in the rigid body assumption.展开更多

Compression-shear coupling rheological constitutive model of the sediment simulant was established by endochronic theory and the coupling rheological parameters were obtained by compressive and compression-shear creep tests. A new calculation formula of turning traction force of the tracked mining vehicle was first derived based on the coupling rheological model and consideration of pushing resistance and sinkage of the tracked mining vehicle. Effects of the turning velocity, crawler spacing and contacting length of crawler with deep-sea sediment on the turning traction force were analyzed. In this system, location of number-plate and recognition of characters in number-plate can be automatically completed. Pixel colors of Number-plate area are classified using neural network, then color features are extracted by analyzing scanning lines of the cross-section of number-plate. It takes full use of number-plate color features to locate number-plate. Characters in number-plate can be effectively recognized using the neural networks. Experimental results show that the correct rate of number-plate location is close to 100%, and the time of number-plate location is less than 1 second. Moreover, recognition rate of characters is improved due to the known number-plate type. It is also observed that this system is not sensitive to variations of weather, illumination and vehicle speed. In addition, and also the size of number-plate need not to be known in prior. This system is of crucial significance to apply and spread the automatic system of vehicle number-plate recognition.展开更多

First, a finite element model of tire hydroplaning was established using the coupled EulerianLagrangian method, including a pneumatic tire model and a textured asphalt pavement model. Then, the frictional force on the tire-pavement interface at different speeds was calculated by the model. Based on vehicle braking mechanism and frictional energy dissipation,a calculation method for braking distance was proposed based on a three-stage braking process. The proposed method was verified by comparing the calculated hydroplaning speed and braking distance with field test results. Then, vehicle braking distances and wet friction coefficients were calculated under different conditions. The results show that thinner water film,a more complex tread pattern and higher tire inflation pressure all contribute to the vehicle braking performance; moreover, the pavement texture has obvious influence on vehicle braking behavior, especially at a high speed. The proposed method shows great effectiveness in predicting vehicle braking behavior on wet asphalt pavements.展开更多

Results show that deck roughness has an important function in the effect of the vehicle on the bridge. When an extra heavy vehicle passes through the continuous beam bridge at a low speed of 5 km/h, the impact coefficient reaches a high value, which should not be disregarded in bridge safety assessments. Considering that no specific law exists between the impact coefficient and vehicle speed, vehicle speed should not be unduly limited and deck roughness repairing should be paid considerable attention. Deck roughness has a significant influence on the reliability index, which decreases as deck roughness increases. For the continuous beam bridge in this work, the reliability index of each control section is greater than the minimum reliability index. No reinforcement measures are required for over-sized transport.展开更多

文摘The launching and recovery process of a human-occupied vehicle(HOV)faces more complex wave effects than other types of submersible operations. However, due to the nonlinearity between the HOV and its mother ship, difficulties occur in theoretically simulating their coupled motion and hydrodynamics. The coupled motion responses and the load under different regular wave conditions are investigated experimentally in this study. The optimized design of the experimental scheme simulated the launching and recovery process of the mother ship and HOV in regular waves. The attitude sensor performed synchronous real-time measurement of the coupled motion between the mother ship and HOV as well as obtained the load data on the coupled motion under different cable lengths. The results show that models in heading waves mainly lead to the vertical motion of the hoisting point. In beam waves, the transverse and vertical motions of the hoisting point occur in a certain frequency of waves.Under the heading and beam wave conditions, the longer the hoisting cable is,the greater the movement amplitude of the submersible is.Moreover, compared with the condition of the beam waves, the hoisting submersible has less influence on the mother ship under the condition of the heading waves. The findings provide theoretical support for the design optimization of the launching and recovery operation.
文摘Employing theory on vehicle-track coupled dynamics, the equation of motion of a vehicle-track vertical coupled system was established by combining frequency analysis and symplectic mathematics. Similarly, an increase in track stiffness amplifies the vertical vibrations of the wheel-rail force and track structure, while an increase in track damping effectively reduces the vertical vibrations of the wheel-rail vertical force and track structure.
文摘Natural frequencies of the bridge—vehicle coupling system considering uniform distributed load varying with position is investigated in this work.An analytic model of a simply supported beam bridge with constant section is introduced to establish the frequency equations of the coupled system.Comparisons with the results between analytic model and FEM indicate that the present research is correct and reasonable. In view of an example bridge, natural frequencies are studied on the bridge subjected to uniform distributed moving loads in cases of different weight and span,by which some regular phenomenon are obtained. The present study can apply in the engineering problem of interaction between bridges and moving loads such as trains and tracked vehicles.
文摘During the launching stage, hydrodynamic pressure and adapters' reaction loads can influence the vehicle's rigid motion as well as cause its structural vibration, which is a typical rigid-flexible coupling dynamic problem. The calculation results showed that differences of the vehicle's motion parameters between the rigid-flexible coupling model and the rigid body assumption are noticeable and the peak magnitude of the vehicle's transverse internal loads in the rigid-flexible coupling model is higher remarkably than that in the rigid body assumption.

文摘With the liquid propellant making up 60%—70% of the takeoff weight of the hypersonic vehicle, the dynamic load caused by great propellant sloshing interacts with the flexible structure of the aircraft. Therefore, the dynamic model displays characteristics of strong coupling with structure/control and nonlinearity.Based on the sloshing mass dynamic simplified as a spring-mass-damping model,a rigid-flexible-sloshing model is constructed. Moreover, the effect on the dynamic performance of the coupled model is analyzed with changing frequency and damping. The results show that propellant sloshing dynamics significantly affects the rigid body motion modes, especially flexible mode and short mode. The right half plane pole(RHP)moves far from the imaginary axis with the consumption of the propellant. The flexible mode attenuates with the increase of the sloshing damping, and the coupling becomes stronger when sloshing frequency is close to the short mode frequency or the flexible frequency of the beam.

文摘The high-speed maglev vehicle/guideway coupled model is an essential simulation tool for investigating vehicle dynamics and mitigating coupled vibration. To improve its accuracy efficiently, this study investigated a hierarchical model updating method integrated with field measurements.First,a high-speed maglev vehicle/guideway coupled model, taking into account the real effect of guideway material properties and elastic restraint of bearings, was developed by integrating the finite element method,multi-body dynamics, and electromagnetic levitation control.Subsequently, simultaneous in-site measurements of the vehicle/guideway were conducted on a high-speed maglev test line to analyze the system response and structural modal parameters.During the hierarchical updating,an Elman neural network with the optimal Latin hypercube sampling method was used to substitute the FE guideway model, thus improving the computational efficiency. The multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm with the gray relational projection method was applied to hierarchically update the parameters of the guideway layer and magnetic force layer based on the measured modal parameters and the electromagnet vibration, respectively. Finally, the updated coupled model was compared with the field measurements, and the results demonstrated the model’s accuracy in simulating the actual dynamic response, validating the effectiveness of the updating method.

文摘Purpose–This study aims to propose a vertical coupling dynamic analysis method of vehicle–track–substructure based on forced vibration and use this method to analyze the influence on the dynamic response of track and vehicle caused by local fastener failure.Design/methodology/approach–The track and substructure are decomposed into the rail subsystem and substructure subsystem,in which the rail subsystem is composed of two layers of nodes corresponding to the upper rail and the lower fastener. The rail is treated as a continuous beam with elastic discrete point supports, and spring-damping elements are used to simulate the constraints between rail and fastener.Forced displacement and forced velocity are used to deal with the effect of the substructure on the rail system, while the external load is used to deal with the reverse effect. The fastener failure is simulated with the methods that cancel the forced vibration transmission, namely take no account of the substructure–rail interaction at that position.Findings–The dynamic characteristics of the infrastructure with local diseases can be accurately calculated by using the proposed method.Local fastener failure will slightly affect the vibration of substructure and carbody, but it will significantly intensify the vibration response between wheel and rail. The maximum vertical displacement and the maximum vertical vibration acceleration of rail is 2.94 times and 2.97 times the normal value, respectively, under the train speed of 350 km$h1.At the same time, the maximum wheel–rail force and wheel load reduction rate increase by 22.0 and 50.2%,respectively,from the normal value.Originality/value–This method can better reveal the local vibration conditions of the rail and easily simulate the influence of various defects on the dynamic response of the coupling system.

文摘Based on main physical and mechanical properties of deep-sea sediment from C-C poly-metallic nodule mining area in the Pacific Ocean, the best sediment simulant was successfully prepared by mixing bentonite with a certain content of water. Research results can provide theoretical foundation for operation safety and optimal design of the tracked mining vehicle.

文摘This paper presents an automatic system of vehicle number-plate recognition based on neural networks. This system is of crucial significance to apply and spread the automatic system of vehicle number-plate recognition.

文摘To investigate the influence of wet conditions on vehicle braking behavior,a numerical-analytical method was proposed for the simulation of tire hydroplaning and frictional energy dissipation. The proposed method shows great effectiveness in predicting vehicle braking behavior on wet asphalt pavements.

文摘To analyze the dynamic response and reliability of a continuous beam bridge under the action of an extra heavy vehicle, a vehicle–bridge coupled vibration model was established based on the virtual work principle and vehicle–bridge displacement compatibility equation, which can accurately simulate the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle and bridge. No reinforcement measures are required for over-sized transport.
