The planar Kagome truss can achieve arbitrary in-plane nodal displacements with minimal internal resistance when its rods are deformed. Moreover, the in-plane deflection of the planar Kagome truss may induce the lateral deflection of the whole sandwich plate. In this paper, the feasibility to enhance the damping of the truss-cored sandwich plate through the replacement of a very small portion of rods in the planar Kagome truss by cylindrical viscoelastic dampers is exploited. The Biot model is chosen to simulate the behavior of the viscoelastic material in the dampers, and the fraction of axial modal strain energy of the rods in the planar Kagome truss is adopted as the index to decide the positions of the dampers. Through complex modal analysis and time-domain simulation, it is shown that the passive vibration control approach is very effective for the vibration reduction of this kind of truss-cored sandwich plates.展开更多

They can realize non-contact micro-actuation and vibration control for elastic plate structures. Considering the switching actuation and nonlinear dynamic characteristics of photostrictive actuators, a variable structure fuzzy active control scheme is presented to control the light intensity applied to the actuators. Firstly, independent modal vibration control equations of photoelectric laminated plates are established based on modal analysis techniques. Then, the optimal light switching function is derived to increase the range of sliding modal area, and the light intensity self-adjusting fuzzy active controller is designed. Meanwhile, a continuous function is applied to replace a sign function to reduce the variable structure control (VSC) chattering. Finally, numerical simulation is carried out, and simulation results indicate that the proposed control strategy provides better performance and control effect to plate actuation and control than velocity feedback control, and suppresses vibration effectively.展开更多
Sandwich structures are widespread in engineering applications because of their advantageous mechanical properties.Recently,their acoustic performance has also been improved to enable attenuation of low-frequency vibr...Sandwich structures are widespread in engineering applications because of their advantageous mechanical properties.Recently,their acoustic performance has also been improved to enable attenuation of low-frequency vibrations induced by noisy environments.Here,we propose a new design of sandwich plates(SPs)featuring a metamaterial core with an actively tunable low-frequency bandgap.The core contains magnetorheological elastomer(MRE)resonators which are arranged periodically and enable controlling wave attenuation by an external magnetic field.We analytically estimate the sound transmission loss(STL)of the plate using the space harmonic expansion method.The low frequency sound insulation performance is also analyzed by the equivalent dynamic density method,and the accuracy of the obtained results is verified by finite-element simulations.Our results demonstrate that the STL of the proposed plate is enhanced compared with a typical SP analog,and the induced bandgap can be effectively tuned to desired frequencies.This study further advances the field of actively controlled acoustic metamaterials,and paves the way to their practical applications.展开更多

Then, by constructing the modal filter and the disturbance force observer, and using the feedback and feedforward approaches, the H ∞ independent modal space control strategy is designed for active vibration control of laminate plates subjected to arbitrary, immeasurable disturbance forces. Compared with ordinary dynamic modeling and control methods of laminated plate structures, the proposed method has the low memory requirement, high computational efficiency and robust control performance. Formulations as well as some numerical examples are given to validate the method and the control performance.展开更多

A velocity feedback control rule is employed to obtain an effective active damping in the suppression of random vibration. The power spectral density and mean- square displacements of the random vibration for laminated plates under different control gains are simulated and the validity of the present control strategy is confirmed. The effect of piezoelec- tric fiber orientation in the PFRC layer on the random vibration suppression is also investigated. 当前自适应滤波前馈控制方法中具有代表性的是滤波-X最小均方(filtered-X least mean square,简称FXLMS)算法,它通常假定干扰源可测且作为前馈控制器的参考输入,但实际振动控制过程中需要考虑控制输出反馈信号对参考信号的影响,因此滤...当前自适应滤波前馈控制方法中具有代表性的是滤波-X最小均方(filtered-X least mean square,简称FXLMS)算法,它通常假定干扰源可测且作为前馈控制器的参考输入,但实际振动控制过程中需要考虑控制输出反馈信号对参考信号的影响,因此滤波-X算法面向实际应用具有较大的局限性。针对这一问题,以机敏压电太阳能帆板结构为模拟试验对象,提出一种基于IIR(infinite impulse response,简称IIR)结构的滤波-U最小均方(filtered-U least mean square,简称FULMS)自适应滤波控制方法,着重分析了控制器结构设计、FULMS算法推理过程、试验模型结构设计、试验平台的构建及其试验验证等环节。经过与FXLMS算法对比仿真试验,笔者所设计的控制算法控制效果良好。将其进行试验验证分析,结果表明,所采用的控制器设计方法与控制算法收敛速度快,控制效果好,为自适应振动控制方法向实际工程应用提供了较好的研究基础。展开更多
