However, the lack of explainability makes DL-based fault diagnosis methods difficult to be trusted and understood by industrial users. In addition, the extraction of weak fault features from signals with heavy noise is imperative in industrial applications. To address these limitations, inspired by the Filterbank-Feature-Decision methodology, we propose a new Signal Processing Informed Neural Network(SPINN) framework by embedding SP knowledge into the DL model. As one of the practical implementations for SPINN, a denoising fault-aware wavelet network(DFAWNet) is developed, which consists of fused wavelet convolution(FWConv), dynamic hard thresholding(DHT),index-based soft filtering(ISF), and a classifier. Taking advantage of wavelet transform, FWConv extracts multiscale features while learning wavelet scales and selecting important wavelet bases automatically;DHT dynamically eliminates noise-related components via point-wise hard thresholding;inspired by index-based filtering, ISF optimizes and selects optimal filters for diagnostic feature extraction. It’s worth noting that SPINN may be readily applied to different deep learning networks by simply adding filterbank and feature modules in front. Experiments results demonstrate a significant diagnostic performance improvement over other explainable or denoising deep learning networks. First, the linear continuation method of extreme points is used to determine the extremum of the signal endpoint fast. Secondly, the extreme points of transition section outside the signal ends are obtained by a mirror continuation method of extreme points, and then the envelope and continuation curve of the transition section of the signal are constructed. Lastly, the sinusoid of the stationary section outside the signal is constructed to achieve the continuation curve from the transition section to the stationary section. Based on the "singular extreme points" phenomenon of blasting vibration signal, the negative maxima and positive minimum are eliminated, then the maximum and minimum are guaranteed to appear at intervals. Thus, the number of iterations is reduced and the instability of EMD decomposition is improved. The calculation formula of amplitude, cycle and initial phase are given for the transition section and stationary section outside the signal. The endpoint processing effect of the simulated signal and the measured blasting vibration signal show that the improved endpoint continuation method can suppress the signal endpoint effect well.展开更多

The traditional...Predicting the time-varying auto-spectral density of a spacecraft in high-altitude orbits requires an accurate model for the non-stationary random vibration signals with densely spaced modal frequency. The traditional time-varying algorithm limits prediction accuracy, thus affecting a number of operational decisions. To solve this problem, a time-varying auto regressive (TVAR) model based on the process neural network (PNN) and the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is proposed. The time-varying system is tracked on-line by establishing a time-varying parameter model, and then the relevant parameter spectrum is obtained. Firstly, the EMD method is utilized to decompose the signal into several intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). Then for each IMF, the PNN is established and the time-varying auto-spectral density is obtained. Finally, the time-frequency distribution of the signals can be reconstructed by linear superposition. The simulation and the analytical results from an example demonstrate that this approach possesses simplicity, effectiveness, and feasibility, as well as higher frequency resolution.展开更多

Simulation results of the MEMS (micro-electro mechanical systems) gyroscope drift signal show that the algorithm spends much less processing time to finish the de-noising process than the usual WT. If the measured vibration signals display to have periodicimpulse components with a certain frequency, there may exist a corresponding local fault in themachine, and if further extracting the periodic impulse components from the vibration signals, theseverity of the local fault can be estimated and tracked. However, the signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs)of the vibration acceleration signals are often so small that the periodic impulse components aresubmersed in much background noises and other components, and it is difficult or inconvenient for usto detect and extract the periodic impulse components with the current common analyzing methods forvibration signals. Therefore, another technique, called singular value decomposition (SVD), istried to be introduced to solve the problem. First, the principle of detecting and extracting thesignal periodic components using singular value decomposition is summarized and discussed. Second, the infeasibility of the direct use of the existing SVD based detecting and extracting approach ispointed out. Third, the approach to construct the matrix for SVD from the signal series is improvedlargely, which is the key program to improve the SVD technique; Other associated improvement is alsoproposed. Finally, a simulating application example and a real-life application example ondetecting and extracting the periodic impulse components are given, which showed that the introducedand improved SVD technique is feasible.展开更多

The method provides a finer analysis and better time-frequencylocalization capabilities than any other analysis methods. Both details and approximations are splitinto finer components and result in better-localized frequency ranges corresponding to each node ofa wavelet packet tree. For the punpose of feature extraction, a hard threshold is given and theenergy of the coefficients above the threshold is used, as a criterion for the selection of the bestvector. 文摘Mitochondrial calcium uniporter(MCU)is a conserved calcium ion(Ca^(2+))transporter in the mitochondrial inner membrane of eukaryotic cells. How MCU proteins regulate Ca^(2+)flow and modulate plant cell development remain largely unclear. Here,we identified the gene GhMCU4 encoding a MCU protein that negatively regulates plant development and fiber elongation in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum).GhMCU4expressed constitutively in various tissues with the higher transcripts in elongating fiber cells.Knockdown of GhMCU4 in cotton significantly elevated the plant height and root length. The calcium signaling pathway was significantly activated and calcium sensor genes, including Ca^(2+)dependent modulator of interactor of constitutively active ROP(GhCMI1),calmodulin like protein(GhCML46),calciumdependent protein kinases(GhCPKs),calcineurin B-like protein(GhCBLs),and CBL-interacting protein kinases(GhCIPKs),were dramatically upregulated in GhMCU4-silenced plants.Metabolic processes were preferentially enriched, and genes related to regulation of transcription were upregulated in GhMCU4-silenced plants. The contents of Ca^(2+)and H_(2)O_(2)were significantly increased in roots and leaves of GhMCU4-silenced plants.Fiber length and Ca^(2+)and H_(2)O_(2)contents in fibers were significantly increased in GhMCU4-silenced plants. This study indicated that GhMCU4 plays a negative role in regulating cell elongation in cotton, thus expanding understanding in the role of MCU proteins in plant growth and development.
文摘In order to improve the accuracy of escalator sprocket bearing fault diagnosis, the problem of the feature extraction method of bearing vibration signal is addressed. In this paper, empirical mode is used to decompose the original signal, and the optimal modal component among the multiple modal components is obtained after the optimization decomposition is selected by the envelope spectrum method, and the multi-angle feature measure is introduced to extract the fault characteristic value.According to the vibration characteristics of the bearing vibration signal data,a bearing signal feature group that is more inclined to the fault feature category information is established, which avoids the absolute problem of extracting a single metric feature. The fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm is used to cluster the sample data with similar characteristics into the same cluster area, which effectively solves the problem that a single measurement analysis cannot characterize the complex internal characteristics ofthe bearing vibration signal.

文摘Understanding the unstable evolution of railway slopes is the premise for preventing slope failure and ensuring the safe operation of trains. However,as two major factors affecting the stability of railway slopes, few scholars have explored the unstable evolution of railway slopes under the joint action of rainfall-vibration.Based on the model test of sandy soil slope, the unstable evolution process of slope under locomotive vibration, rainfall, and rainfall-vibration joint action conditions was simulated in this paper.By comparing and analyzing the variation trends of soil pressure and water content of slope under these conditions, the change laws of pore pressure under the influence of vibration and rainfall were explored. The main control factors affecting the stability of slope structure under the joint action conditions were further defined.Combined with the slope failure phenomena under these three conditions, the causes of slope instability resulting from each leading factor were clarified. Finally, according to the above conclusions, the unstable evolution of the slope under the rainfall-vibration joint action was determined. The test results show that the unstable evolution process of sandy soil slope, under the rainfall-vibration joint action, can be divided into:rainfall erosion cracking, vibration promotion penetrating, and slope instability sliding three stages. In the process of slope unstable evolution, rainfall and vibration play the roles of inducing and promoting slide respectively. In addition, the deep cracks, which are the premise for the formation of the sliding surface, and the violent irregular fluctuation of soil pressure, which reflects the near penetration of the sliding surface, constitute the instability characteristics of the railway slope together. This paper reveals the unstable evolution of sandy soil slopes under the joint action of rainfall-vibration,hoping to provide the theoretical basis for the early warning and prevention technology of railway slopes.

文摘Photonic signal processing offers a versatile and promising toolkit for contemporary scenarios ranging from digital optical communication to analog microwave operation.Compared to its electronic counterpart,it eliminates inherent bandwidth limitations and meanwhile exhibits the potential to provide unparalleled scalability and flexibility, particularly through integrated photonics. However,by far the on-chip solutions for optical signal processing are often tailored to specific tasks, which lacks versatility across diverse applications. Here,we propose a streamlined chip-level signal processing architecture that integrates different active and passive building blocks in silicon-on-insulator(SOI)platform with a compact and efficient manner.Comprehensive and in-depth analyses for the architecture are conducted at levels of device, system, and application.Accompanied by appropriate configuring schemes, the photonic circuitry supports loading and processing both analog and digital signals simultaneously.Three distinct tasks are facilitated with one single chip across several mainstream fields, spanning optical computing, microwave photonics, and optical communications.Notably,it has demonstrated competitive performance in functions like image processing, spectrum filtering, and electro-optical bandwidth equalization.Boasting high universality and a compact form factor, the proposed architecture is poised to be instrumental for next-generation functional fusion systems.

文摘Predicting the time-varying auto-spectral density of a spacecraft in high-altitude orbits requires an accurate model for the non-stationary random vibration signals with densely spaced modal frequency. The simulation and the analytical results from an example demonstrate that this approach possesses simplicity, effectiveness, and feasibility, as well as higher frequency resolution.

文摘Decomposition and reconstruction of Mallat fast wavelet transformation (WT) is described. A fast algorithm, which can greatly decrease the processing burden and can be very easy for hardware implementation in real-time, is analyzed. The algorithm will no longer have the processing of decimation and interpolation of usual WT. The formulae of the decomposition and the reconstruction are given. Simulation results of the MEMS (micro-electro mechanical systems) gyroscope drift signal show that the algorithm spends much less processing time to finish the de-noising process than the usual WT. And the de-noising effect is the same. The fast algorithm has been implemented in a TMS320C6713 digital signal processor. The standard variance of the gyroscope static drift signal decreases from 78. 435 5 (°)/h to 36. 763 5 (°)/h. It takes 0. 014 ms to process all input data and can meet the real-time analysis of signal.
文摘A television based multistatic radar system is described. The commercial television transmitter is used as the illuminator in the multistatic radar system. The reflected commercial television signals are measured by an array of sensors. A data processing scheme is developed that adapts to the poor signal processing ability. The innovation is focused on the construction of the observation space, which could reduce the non linearity error. The new method leads to better system stability than the traditional one. Monte Carlo simulation is utilized and compared with the traditional method.

文摘In order to truly obtain the feature extraction of vibration signals under the strong background noise, the analysis and improvement of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is carried on. After that, the improved EMD is applied to the feature extraction of vehicle vibration signals. First, the multi-autocorrelation method is adopted in each input signal,so the noise is reduced effectively. Then, EMD is used to deal with these signals, and the intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) are obtained. Finally, for obtaining the feature information of these signals, the Hilbert transformation and the spectrum analysis are performed in some IMFs. Theoretical analysis and ex- periment verify the effectiveness of the method, which are valuable reference for the same engineering problems.

文摘Vibration acceleration signals are often measured from case surface of arunning machine to monitor its condition. Finally, a simulating application example and a real-life application example ondetecting and extracting the periodic impulse components are given, which showed that the introducedand improved SVD technique is feasible.
文摘A method is proposed for the analysis of vibration signals from components ofrotating machines, based on the wavelet packet transformation (WPT) and the underlying physicalconcepts of modulation mechanism. The feature extraction of a vibration signal is accomplished by computing thereconstruction signal and its spectrum. When applied to a rolling bear vibration signal featureextraction, the proposed method can lead to be very effective.
