A virtual sieving experimental simulation system was built using physical simulation principles.The effects of vibration frequency and amplitude,the inclination angle of the screen-deck and the vibration direction ang...A virtual sieving experimental simulation system was built using physical simulation principles.The effects of vibration frequency and amplitude,the inclination angle of the screen-deck and the vibration direction angle of screen on single particle kinematics were predicted.Properties such as the average velocity and the average throw height were studied.The results show that the amplitude and the angle of vibration have a great effect on particle average velocity and average height.The vibration frequency and the screen-deck inclination angle appear to have little influence on these responses.For materials that are difficult to screen the vibration frequency and amplitude,the screen-deck inclination angle and the vibration angle should be set to 14 Hz,6.6 mm,6° and 40°,respectively,to obtain optimal particle kinematics.A screening process can be simulated reliably by means of a virtual experiment and these results provide references for both screening theory research and sieving practice.展开更多

Objective:To explore the application effect of virtual simulation experiment combined with picture archiving and communication system(PACS)in medical imaging practical teaching.Methods:97 students from the medical ima...Objective:To explore the application effect of virtual simulation experiment combined with picture archiving and communication system(PACS)in medical imaging practical teaching.Methods:97 students from the medical imaging class of 2022 were divided into two groups;the control group(n=48)was taught by the traditional teaching method,whereas the research group was taught by virtual simulation experiment combined with PACS(n=49).The teaching achievements and teaching effects of the two groups were compared to define the advantages of the two teaching modes.Results:Initially,there were no significant differences in the basic theory,image analysis,report writing,and differential diagnosis scores between the two groups of students(P>0.05);however,after 16 weeks of teaching,the scores of the research group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05);the pass rate of students in the study group(93.88%)was higher than that in the control group(81.25%);the scores of students in the research group in terms of clinical inquiry skills,X-ray/computed tomography/magnetic resonance imaging(X-ray/CT/MRI)operation skills,and doctor-patient communication skills were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In medical imaging practical teaching,the application of virtual simulation experiment combined with PACS can effectively address several problems in the traditional teaching mode,including the single teaching method,the single teaching content,and the lack of innovation,and,at the same time,improve students’basic theoretical knowledge,X-ray/CT/MRI operation skills,consultation skills,and doctor-patient communication skills,thereby effectively improving the teaching quality and learning effect.展开更多
Background Machine learning-based beer bottle-defect detection is a complex technology that runs automatically;however,it consumes considerable memory,is expensive,and poses a certain danger when training novice opera...Background Machine learning-based beer bottle-defect detection is a complex technology that runs automatically;however,it consumes considerable memory,is expensive,and poses a certain danger when training novice operators.Moreover,some topics are difficult to learn from experimental lectures,such as digital image processing and computer vision.However,virtual simulation experiments have been widely used to good effect within education.A virtual simulation of the design and manufacture of a beer bottle-defect detection system will not only help the students to increase their image-processing knowledge,but also improve their ability to solve complex engineering problems and design complex systems.Methods The hardware models for the experiment(camera,light source,conveyor belt,power supply,manipulator,and computer)were built using the 3DS MAX modeling and animation software.The Unreal Engine 4(UE4)game engine was utilized to build a virtual design room,design the interactive operations,and simulate the system operation.Results The results showed that the virtual-simulation system received much better experimental feedback,which facilitated the design and manufacture of a beer bottle-defect detection system.The specialized functions of the functional modules in the detection system,including a basic experimental operation menu,power switch,image shooting,image processing,and manipulator grasping,allowed students(or virtual designers)to easily build a detection system by retrieving basic models from the model library,and creating the beer-bottle transportation,image shooting,image processing,defect detection,and defective-product removal.The virtual simulation experiment was completed with image processing as the main body.Conclusions By mainly focusing on bottle mouth defect detection,the detection system dedicates more attention to the user and the task.With more detailed tasks available,the virtual system will eventually yield much better results as a training tool for image processing education.In addition,a novel visual perception-thinking pedagogical framework enables better comprehension than the traditional lecture-tutorial style.展开更多

Existing vehicle experiment systems tend to focus on the research of vehicle dynamics by conducting performance tests on every system or some parts of the vehicle so as to improve the entire performance of the vehicle...Existing vehicle experiment systems tend to focus on the research of vehicle dynamics by conducting performance tests on every system or some parts of the vehicle so as to improve the entire performance of the vehicle. Virtual technology is widely utilized in various vehicle test-beds. These test-beds are mainly used to simulate the driving training, conduct the research on drivers' behaviors, or give virtual demonstrations of the transportation environment. However, the study on the active safety of the running vehicle in the virtual environment is still insufficient. A virtual scene including roads and vehicles is developed by using the software Creator and Vega, and radars and cameras are also simulated in the scene. Based on dSPACE's rapid prototyping simulation and its single board DS1103, a simulation model including vehicle control signals is set up in MATLAB/Simulink, the model is then built into C code, and the system defined file(SDF) is downloaded to the DS1103 board through the experiment debug software ControlDesk and is kept running. Programming is made by mixing Visual C++ 6.0, MATLAB API and Vega API. Control signals are read out by invoking library function MLIB/MTRACE of dSPACE. All the input, output, and system state values are acquired by arithmetic and are dynamically associated with the running status of the virtual vehicle. An intelligent vehicle experiment system is thus developed by virtue of program and integration. The system has not only the demonstration function, such as general driving, cruise control, active avoiding collision, but also the function of virtual experiment. Parameters of the system can be set according to needs, and the virtual test results can be analyzed and studied and used for the comparison with the existing models. The system reflects the running of the intelligent vehicle in the virtual traffic environment, at the same time, the system is a new attempt performed on the intelligent vehicle travel research and provides also a new research method for the development of intelligent vehicles.展开更多

To solve this problem, temperature field simula- tion using numerical simulation was done toward the electromechanical system, and the platform temperature field distribution as well as the process of the platform reaching the steady-state was an- alyzed. The research shows that the system temperature observing parameters are all within normal range and the temperature control structure is rational. 文摘This paper proposes the design and development of virtual experimental projects in the Digital Signal Processing course,using MATLAB,Proteus,and CCS platforms to develop a library of typical experimental cases for biomedical engineering majors and discusses the design process.Based on these typical cases,this paper explores the secondary design for innovative engineering practice case teaching,which can promote students’understanding and mastery of digital signal processing theories,algorithms,and technologies in an intuitive,flexible,and efficient way;quickly build new innovative engineering case models and further cultivate students’engineering application ability as well as innovative thinking.

文摘This paper provides a teaching concept for control theory education based on Virtual Robot Experimentation Platform(V-REP).A cart inverted pendulum virtual physical model is developed on V-REP.Students must analyze,design,and implement a suitable controller for the cart inverted pendulum system using their knowledge of the control theory.Different from traditional experiment and numerical simulation,virtual experiment is safe and less constrained.Moreover,the experiment results are more intuitive and obvious.This study can improve students’interest in learning the control theory and help students understand the relevant content better.

文摘Existing vehicle experiment systems tend to focus on the research of vehicle dynamics by conducting performance tests on every system or some parts of the vehicle so as to improve the entire performance of the vehicle. Virtual technology is widely utilized in various vehicle test-beds. These test-beds are mainly used to simulate the driving training, conduct the research on drivers' behaviors, or give virtual demonstrations of the transportation environment. However, the study on the active safety of the running vehicle in the virtual environment is still insufficient. A virtual scene including roads and vehicles is developed by using the software Creator and Vega, and radars and cameras are also simulated in the scene. Based on dSPACE's rapid prototyping simulation and its single board DS1103, a simulation model including vehicle control signals is set up in MATLAB/Simulink, the model is then built into C code, and the system defined file(SDF) is downloaded to the DS1103 board through the experiment debug software ControlDesk and is kept running. Programming is made by mixing Visual C++ 6.0, MATLAB API and Vega API. Control signals are read out by invoking library function MLIB/MTRACE of dSPACE. All the input, output, and system state values are acquired by arithmetic and are dynamically associated with the running status of the virtual vehicle. An intelligent vehicle experiment system is thus developed by virtue of program and integration. The system has not only the demonstration function, such as general driving, cruise control, active avoiding collision, but also the function of virtual experiment. Parameters of the system can be set according to needs, and the virtual test results can be analyzed and studied and used for the comparison with the existing models. The system reflects the running of the intelligent vehicle in the virtual traffic environment, at the same time, the system is a new attempt performed on the intelligent vehicle travel research and provides also a new research method for the development of intelligent vehicles.

文摘Acquisition of real-time and accurate vehicle state and parameter information is critical to the research of vehicle dynamic control system.By studying the defects of the former Kalman filter based estimation method,a new estimating method is proposed.First the nonlinear vehicle dynamics system,containing inaccurate model parameters and constant noise,is established.Then a dual unscented particle filter(DUPF)algorithm is proposed.In the algorithm two unscented particle filters run in parallel,states estimation and parameters estimation update each other.The results of simulation and vehicle ground testing indicate that the DUPF algorithm has higher state estimation accuracy than unscented Kalman filter(UKF)and dual extended Kalman filter(DEKF),and it also has good capability to revise model parameters.

文摘Temperature field control of electromechanical system with constant temperature is one of the important factors that affects the accuracy of the system. Traditional ways of temperature detec- tion cost a lot but have low responding sensitivity. To solve this problem, temperature field simula- tion using numerical simulation was done toward the electromechanical system, and the platform temperature field distribution as well as the process of the platform reaching the steady-state was an- alyzed. The research shows that the system temperature observing parameters are all within normal range and the temperature control structure is rational. In all, the research achievements have some engineering and theoretical values in improving the design of temperature control device and system accuracy.

文摘Environmental Acoustics is a professional course that educates students majoring in Acoustics.Affected by practical equipment and other factors,the teaching effect of knowledge points relevant to subjective auditory perception contained in the course is poor.Taking the course of Spatial Hearing and 3D Stereo as an example,this study develops a virtual simulation experiment system for the topic of subjective hearing perception in order to carry out the reform and practice of immersive teaching.Combined with the virtual simulation experiment project with high sense of presence,students are supported by the actual auditory perception effect in the whole learning process and have achieved good learning effect.

文摘In this paper, the design of a virtual experiment system based on Flex and XML is described. The system adopts threelayer architecture and it is composed of four modules. Flex is used to design user interface, and XML is used as data format between layers or modules. Data services are used to store or retrieve the information of experiment components or experiment scenes. Principles for the design of simulation engine and simulation scheduler are discussed. The design of the simulation engine for "Digital Logic" course is described in detail. The system has been implemented in the experiment teaching of Digital Logic. Teaching results and the feedback from students demonstrate that the virtual experiment system can improve the effects of experiment teaching and arouse the learning interests of students.

Applications for the purpose of publiceducation and virtual geographic experiment, and indicated future works provethe possibility to offer a greater opportunity to foster interdisciplinary collaborations, revitalize teaching patterns and learning contents, improve learners’cognitive abilities to solve problems, and enhance their understanding of scientificconcepts and processes.
