Modern agricultural machinery demands adoption of embedded electronic and remote sensing technology for precision agriculture.One of the electronic devices commonly used is the virtual terminal(VT) for tractors.A VT...Modern agricultural machinery demands adoption of embedded electronic and remote sensing technology for precision agriculture.One of the electronic devices commonly used is the virtual terminal(VT) for tractors.A VT's functions and terminology are described in the ISO 11783 standard.This paper presents a control system design and implementation for a VT and some other electronic control units(ECUs) for agricultural vehicles based on that standard.Hardware and software development for the VT is implemented using the ISOAgLib open library,in the advanced embedded system.The main part of the system is an embedded board based on a Samsung S3C6410 ARM11 core microprocessor with a controller area network(CAN) module.Its working environment is Windows Embedded CE 6.0(WinCE6.0).The ISOAgLib library provides abundant open sources consistent implementation of ISO 11783.It is written in C++ programming language using object-oriented technology.In this paper,we describe an ISO 11783-based tractor control system with a CAN and its implementation in the embedded system.This paper also explains the operation of a CAN-bus device driver in WinCE6.0 and some modifications of ISOAgLib for our target system.The target system consists of the VT,an ECU for the global positioning system(GPS),and an ECU for lighting for an agricultural tractor.The ECU for GPS and the ECU of a light controller are implemented using STM32F107F ARM Cortex M3-based development boards.展开更多

Whereas,the existing 2 nd generation( 2 G),the 3 rd generation( 3 G) and the 4 th generation( 4 G) networks cannot provide such high transmission rates. To meet these requirements,the technology and the realization of a‘virtual super terminal'that can perform the concurrent streaming of video via the cooperation of multiple heterogeneous terminals are introduced. The proposed algorithm uses concurrent streaming scheduling algorithm,buffer overhead and packet delivery method,and packet loss prevention and recovery method to improve the performances of the system.Testbed measurements show that compared with the scheme without cooperative transmission the proposed design can significantly increase system throughput and decrease packet delay.展开更多

The solution is to add innovative thoughts of "integration on design and configuration," "SCD file decoupling," "visualization of virtual secondary circuit" and "SCD file control" into the PRS-7000 series tool. As an integration tool for the design and configuration of a smart substation, PRS-7001 has effectively inherited the knowledge and operation practice of the design institute by applying a typical design template and a virtual terminal connected database. The PRS-7002 secondary circuit visual tool can display the virtual circuit connection and configuration of the SCD files in a multi-function and multiperspective way. Besides, it can effectively support commissioning, defects eliminating and overhauling. The PRS- 7003 SCD control tool has not only the off-line control functions for version management and tracing, inspection and warning for information changes and scope definition for upgrading of devices, but also the functions of process level configuration for the device and CRC online comparison.展开更多

According to the whole process of designing, construction, operation and maintenance of smart substations and characteristics of IED, the plug and play technology on the whole life cycle of a smart substation is proposed. Standardized virtual terminal description is used in matching the signals, standardized definitions and order of virtual terminal is used in connecting the signals, and management server is used in managing IED failures and backup. The plug and play technology can effectively improve the efficiency of design, construction, operation and maintenance of smart substations.展开更多
