A triethylenetetramine epoxy mixture was synthesized through the reaction of a low-molecular-weight liquid epoxy resin with triethylenetetramine(TETA).Then triethyltetramine(TETA)was injected dropwise into a pro-pylen...A triethylenetetramine epoxy mixture was synthesized through the reaction of a low-molecular-weight liquid epoxy resin with triethylenetetramine(TETA).Then triethyltetramine(TETA)was injected dropwise into a pro-pylene glycol methyl ether(PM)solution for chain extension reaction.A hydrophilic andflexible polyether seg-ment was introduced into the hardener molecule.The effects of TETA/DGEPG,reaction temperature and reaction time on the epoxy conversion of polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(DGEPG)were studied.In addition,several alternate strategies to add epoxy resin to the high-speed dispersion machine and synthesize MEA DGEBA adduct(without catalyst and with bisphenol A diglycidyl ether epoxy resin)were compared.It was found that the higher the molecular weight of triethylenetetramine,the longer the chain segment of the surface active molecule.When the equivalence ratio of amine hydrogen and epoxy group is low,the stability of lotion is good.When the ratio of amine hydrogen to epoxy group is large,the content of triethylenetetramine is small.The main objective of this study is the provision of new data and knowledge for the development of new materials in the coating and electronic industry.展开更多
A double-layer aluminum consisting of an aluminum core and a shellof SiO2 and polyacrylic acid was synthesized.This modified aluminum was used to improve the corrosion resistance and dispersive property of aluminum in...A double-layer aluminum consisting of an aluminum core and a shellof SiO2 and polyacrylic acid was synthesized.This modified aluminum was used to improve the corrosion resistance and dispersive property of aluminum in waterborne media.TEM,FTIR,XPS,and EDX determination showed that PAA and SiO2 were coated on the surface of aluminum.Evolved hydrogen detection showed that the corrosion resistance of composite particle had been markedly improved.Maximum corrosion inhibition efficiency of SiO2 coated aluminum(SiO2@Al)was 95.1% while that of double-layer coated aluminum(PAA/SiO2@Al)was 98.8%.Meanwhile,polyacrylic acid layer improved the agglomeration of aluminum significantly.According to the dispersibility test,the particle size of 50% volume fraction [d(0.5)] of aluminum,SiO2@Aland PAA/SiO2@Alwere 42,53,and 34 μm,respectively.展开更多

The anticorrosion coating lies in the middle of two entirely d...The corrosion of the anticorrosion coating and the defects of the asphalt concrete paved layer have been investigated on long-span steel box bridge decks. The anticorrosion coating lies in the middle of two entirely different materials: a highway steel box bridge deck and a paved layer, which is used as anticorrosion and waterproof coating for the steel bridge deck. For our study, electrochemical corrosion and pull strength experiments have been selected for the investigation of the corrosion properties of inorganic zinc rich coating, epoxy zinc rich coating and arc sprayed zinc coating. The adhesive strength between the coatings and the panel, and the effect of the coating corrosion on the shear properties of the paved layers including cast asphalt, thermal asphalt mortar, epoxy asphalt and modified asphalt concrete have been investigated. The results show that the adhesive strength between the coatings and the bridge panel is controlled by the method of pre-processing rust removal. Coating by sandblasting has stronger adhesive strength than coating by shot peening. The results also reveal that shear strength of the paved layer is affected by the corrosion product of zinc coating. The arc sprayed zinc coating has stronger shear strength than zinc rich coalings.展开更多

The objective of th... The Senegalese road network is strongly influenced in the long term by seasonal variations in climate and weather conditions. Indeed, much of the damage is due to these environmental factors. The objective of this paper is to study the behaviour of bituminous structures under the effect of high temperatures. Material samples were taken for a physico-mechanical characterization of the coated components. The results show that Marshall creep (2.87, 3.39, 5, 5.5 mm) and the bitumen penetrability increase with the increasing of temperatures respectively from 34°C to 45<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C and from 20<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C to 50<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C. Marshall Stability drops from 15.81 kN to 11.31 kN for temperatures between 34<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C and 45<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C. The simulation carried out on Alize-LCPC shows an increase in distortions of traction at the basis of the rolling layer and at the top of the platform if temperatures vary between 34<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C and 45<span style="white-space:normal;">°</span>C. This work makes it possible to conform that the bituminous concrete is thermally sensitive and the hypothesis of fixing the constant modulus of the bituminous layers in Senegal for all projects remains unsuitable for a good dimensioning of sustainable road structures. The knowledge of the equivalent regional temperature will make it possible to produce quality pavements with a long lifespan.展开更多
