The research focuses on a comparative analysis of image clarity in seismic attribute analysis to facilitate the identification of reservoir features within the subsurface structures. The findings of the study indicate that CWT has a significant advantage over FFT in terms of image quality and identifying subsurface structures. The results demonstrate the superior performance of CWT in providing a better representation, making it more effective for seismic attribute analysis. The study highlights the importance of choosing the appropriate image enhancement technique based on the specific application needs and the broader context of the study. While CWT provides high-quality images and superior performance in identifying subsurface structures, the selection between these methods should be made judiciously, taking into account the objectives of the study and the characteristics of the signals being analyzed. The research provides valuable insights into the decision-making process for selecting image enhancement techniques in seismic data analysis, helping researchers and practitioners make informed choices that cater to the unique requirements of their studies. Ultimately, this study contributes to the advancement of the field of subsurface imaging and geological feature identification.展开更多

While Variational Mode Decomposition (VMD) and Empirical Wavelet Transform (EWT) offer valuable support for studying signal components, they also present certain limitations. This article integrates the strengths of both methods and proposes an enhanced approach that integrates VMD into the frequency band division principle of EWT. Initially, the method decomposes the signal using VMD, determining the mode count based on residuals, and subsequently employs EWT decomposition based on this information. This addresses mode aliasing issues in the original method while capitalizing on VMD’s adaptability. Feasibility was confirmed through simulation signals and ultimately applied to noise signals from vibrators. Experimental results demonstrate that the improved method not only resolves EWT frequency band division challenges but also effectively decomposes signal components compared to the VMD method.展开更多

This approach firstly uses random decrement technique to gain free decays corresponding to the acceleration response of the structure to some non-zero initial conditions. Then the continuous Morlet wavelet transformation of the free decays is performed; and the Parseval formula and residue theorem are used to simplify the transformation. The maximal wavelet transformation coefficients in different scales are searched out by means of band-filtering characteristic of Morlet wavelet, and then the modal parameters are identified according to the relationships with maximal modulus and angle of the wavelet transform. As a human observer moves closer to or farther from a scene, the retinal image of the scene zooms in or out, respectively. This zooming in or out can be modeled using variable scale interpolation. The paper proposes a novel way of applying DWT and IDWT in a piecewise manner by non-uniform down- or up-sampling of the images to achieve partially sampled versions of the images. The partially sampled versions are then aggregated to achieve the final variable scale interpolated images. The non-uniform down- or up-sampling here is a function of the required scale of interpolation. Appropriate zero padding is used to make the images suitable for the required non-uniform sampling and the subsequent interpolation to the required scale. The concept of zeroeth level DWT is introduced here, which works as the basis for interpolating the images to achieve bigger size than the original one. The main emphasis here is on the computation of variable size images at less computational load, without compromise of quality of images. The interpolated images to different sizes and the reconstructed images are benchmarked using the statistical parameters and visual comparison. It has been found that the proposed approach performs better as compared to bilinear and bicubic interpolation techniques.展开更多

The new signal instead of structural response is used in identifying the modal parameters of a non- stationary system, combined with the method of modal identification under stationary random excitation-the NExT method and the adjusted continuous least square method. It has been found that the proposed approach performs better as compared to bilinear and bicubic interpolation techniques.

文摘On the basis of fractional wavelet transform, we propose a new method called cascaded fractional wavelet transform to encrypt images. It has the virtues of fractional Fourier transform and wavelet transform. Fractional orders, standard focal lengths and scaling factors are its keys. Multistage fractional Fourier transforms can add the keys easily and strengthen information se-curity. This method can also realize partial encryption just as wavelet transform and fractional wavelet transform. Optical reali-zation of encryption and decryption is proposed. Computer simulations confirmed its possibility.
文摘This paper presents an efficient quadtree based fractal image coding scheme in wavelet transform domain based on the wavelet based theory of fractal image compression introduced by Davis. In the scheme, zerotrees of wavelet coefficients are used to reduce the number of domain blocks, which leads to lower bit cost required to represent the location information of fractal coding, and overall entropy constrained optimization is performed for the decision trees as well as for the sets of scalar quantizers and self quantizers of wavelet subtrees. Experiment results show that at the low bit rates, the proposed scheme gives about 1 dB improvement in PSNR over the reported results.

文摘A kind of method of modal identification subject to ambient excitation is presented. A new synthesis stationary signal based on structural response wavelet transform and wavelet coefficient processes co-integration is obtained. The new signal instead of structural response is used in identifying the modal parameters of a non- stationary system, combined with the method of modal identification under stationary random excitation-the NExT method and the adjusted continuous least square method. The numerical results show that the method can eliminate the non-stationarity of structural response subject to non-stationary random excitation to a great extent, and is highly precise and robust.
文摘Signal decomposition into the frequency components is one of the oldest challenges in the digital signal processing. In early nineteenth century,Fourier transform(FT)showed that any applicable signal can be decomposed by unlimited sinusoids. However, the relationship between time and frequency is lost under using FT.According to many researches for appropriate time-frequency representation,in early twentieth century, wavelet transform(WT)was proposed.WT is a well-known method which developed in order to decompose a signal into frequency components. In contrast with original WT which is not adaptive according to the input signal, empirical wavelet transform(EWT)was proposed. In this paper, the performance of discrete WT(DWT)and EWT in terms of signal decomposing into basic components are compared. For this purpose,a stationary signal including five sinusoids and ECG as biomedical and nonstationary signal are used.Due to being non-adaptive,DWT may remove signal components but EWT because of being adaptive is appropriate.EWT can also extract the baseline of ECG signal easier than DWT.
