Given the rapid growth of e-commerce and the importance of understanding online customer behavior,it is necessary to develop a universal model as a means to measure the relevant construct.Website design plays an important role in e-commerce because it directly affects online customers during the purchase process.Online customers will continue to be loyal because of good website design.However,the effect of website design has not been clearly defined and a suitable framework for evaluating the status of website design is lacking.The purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive framework that can guide successful web design and examine the impact of web design on e-loyalty.207 Taobao customers from China completed an online survey.All scales were analyzed by reliability,construct validity,and convergent validity.Multiple regression analysis is used to test research hypotheses.Findings indicated that the factor of website design should be revised and classified into visual design and information&navigation design.The website design had a significantly positive effect on e-loyalty.The relative order of importance of these predictors was information&navigation design and visual design. 展开更多

The aim of this study is to identify and analyze ways to increase usage of destination website and motivate website visitors’intention to actually visit the destination.The sample population is South Koreans who visit the VisitBritain website,the homepage of Britain’s national tourism agency.The data for this study were collected by a self-participated online survey on the blog of VisitBritain Korea,which is directly linked to the VisitBritain Korea website.Using structural equation modeling,six hypotheses were tested.The results show that the destination image on the destination marketing organization(DMO)website,quality of the destination website design including three dimensions(information quality,system quality,and service quality),and customers’satisfaction formed by high quality of the website design have a significant impact on website visitors’use intention and increase their visiting intention to the destination.Based upon the results of the analysis,managerial implications and areas for future research are proposed. 展开更多

As increasing numbers of Chinese language learners choose to learn English online,there is a need to investigate popular websites and their language learning designs.This paper reports on the first stage of a study that analyzed the pedagogical,linguistic,and content features of 25 Chinese English Language Learning(ELL)websites ranked according to their value and importance to users.The website ranking was undertaken using a system known as PageRank.The aim of the study was to identify the features characterizing popular sites as opposed to those of less popular sites for the purpose of producing a framework for ELL website design in the Chinese context.The study found that a pedagogical focus with developmental instructional materials accommodating diverse proficiency levels was a major contributor to website popularity.Chinese language use for translations and teaching directives and intermediate level English for learning materials were also significant features. Content topics included Anglophone/Western and non-Anglophone/Eastern contexts. Overall, popular websites were distinguished by their mediation of access to and scaffolded support for ELL. 展开更多
