Although water supplies are short, the water utilization structure and the corresponding industrial structure are unbalanced. We constructed a System Dynamic Model for mutual optimization based on the mechanism of their interaction. This model is applied to the Heihe River Basin where the share of limited water resources among ecosystem, production and human living is optimized. Results show that, by mutual optimization, the water utilization structure and the industrial structures fit in with each other. A△T=-0.4℃ is more suitable than other temperature criterion for determining the mixed layer (ML) and barrier layer (BL) over the WPWP using monthly-averaged temperature and salinity data. The WPWP has a particular thermohaline structure and can be vertically divided into three layers, i.e., the ML, BL, and deep layer (DL). The BL thickness (BLT) is the thickest, while the ML thickness (MLT) is the thinnest. The MLT has a similar seasonal variation to the DL thickness (DLT) and BLT. They are all thicker in spring and fall but thinner in summer. The temperatures of the ML and BL are both higher in spring and autumn but lower in winter and summer with an annual amplitude of 0.15℃, while the temperature of the DL is higher in May and lower in August. The averaged salinities at these three layers are all higher in March but lower in September, with annual ranges of 0.41-0.45. Zonal currents, i.e., the South Equatorial Current (SEC) and North Equatorial Counter Current (NECC), and winds may be the main dynamic factors driving the seasonal variability in the WPWP thermohaline structure, while precipitation and net heat fluxes are both important thermodynamic factors. Higher (lower) winds cause both the MLT and BLT to thicken (thin), a stronger (weaker) NECC induces MLT, BLT, and DLT to thin (thicken), and a stronger (weaker) SEC causes both the MLT and BLT to thicken (thin) and the DLT to thin (thicken). An increase (decrease) in the net heat fluxes causes the MLT and BLT to thicken (thin) but the DLT to thin (thicken), while a stronger (weaker) precipitation favors thinner (thicker) MLT but thicker (thinner) BLT and DLT. In addition, a stronger (weaker) NECC and SEC cause the temperature of the three layers to decrease (increase), while the seasonal variability in salinity at the ML, BL, and DL might be controlled by the subtropical cell (STC).展开更多

Based on the research into the geotransect, it is suggested that the crust in this area was formed by the assembly of the terranes in different geological stages. Following the formation of the Palaeo-Asian continent, the north part of the corridor of the transect became a part of the huge unifying continent by the end of the Early Permian. In the Mesozoic and Cenozoic, as a result of the compression mainly by the push of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau on the south, the unique crustal structure and geomorphologic features on the northern Qinghai-Tibet plateau were formed. This geotransect together with the Yadong-Golmud geotransect constitutes a long geotransect which runs across the western Chinese continent.展开更多

The current is found to flow all the way from the shelf edge off Hong Kong to the Sunda Shelf with a width around 100 km and a vertical scale of about 400 m. It appears to be the strongest off the Indo-China Peninsula, where its volume transport reached over 20×10~6 m^3/s. The current is weaker upstream in the northern SCS to the west of Hong Kong. A Kuroshio loop or detached eddy intruded through the Luzon Strait is observed farther east where the SCSwwbc no more exists. The results suggest that during the survey the SCSwwbc was fed primarily by the interior recirculation of the SCS rather than by the"branching" of the Kuroshio from the Luzon Strait as indicated by surface drifters, which is likely a near-surface phenomenon and only contributes a minor part to the total transport of the SCSwwbc. Several topics related to the SCSwwbc are also discussed.展开更多

Results indicated that population aging has a double threshold effect on the integral industrial structure upgrading, whose influence increases first and then decreases, significantly promoting the upgrading process. As for internal structure, population aging has no significant threshold effect on the upgrading in the secondary industry, but exerts a single negative threshold effect in the tertiary industry. When economic development is under the threshold, its negative impact is greater. Further analysis also suggests that regional differences exist significantly in the threshold effect of population aging on the industrial structure upgrading.展开更多

文摘Abstract: Through a study of the geotransect from Golmud to Ejin Qi published recently, the tectonics of the crust beneath the area from the northern Qinghai-Tibet plateau (Qaidam and the Qilian Mountains) to the border between China and Mongolia and its structure, composition and tectonic evolution have been revealed, and abundant information about the deep structures has been provided. This geotransect together with the Yadong-Golmud geotransect constitutes a long geotransect which runs across the western Chinese continent.

文摘The unique survey in December 1998 mapped the entire western boundary area of the South China Sea(SCS),which reveals the three-dimensional structure and huge volume transport of the swift and narrow winter western boundary current of the SCS(SCSwwbc) in full scale. Several topics related to the SCSwwbc are also discussed.

文摘This paper constructs coefficients of the integral and the internal structure upgrading in the secondary and tertiary industries, selects per capita real gross domestic product as a threshold variable and build panel threshold model according to inter-provincial panel data of China from 1998 to 2016. Further analysis also suggests that regional differences exist significantly in the threshold effect of population aging on the industrial structure upgrading.
文摘The Bohai-Yellow Sea Rimland (BYSR) is situated along the coast of theBohai Sea and the Yellow Sea in the northeast of China, covering Liaoning, Hebei, and Shandong provinces, and Tianjin and Beijing municipalities. It has a land area of 491,000 square kilometers, 5.1 percent of the country’s total, and a population of 196 million, 17.9 percent of the total. Theregion is not only the political and cultural center, but also the most important economic center in North China. This paper analyses current status and major problems of industrial structure and distribution of BYSR. According to the national plan, the main goal in the coming decade is: by constantly improving economic structure, economic quality and efficiency, to double the gross national product(GNP), and to raise living standards to a satisfactory level. To realize this goal, agriculture, energy, transportation, some important raw material of industries, and infrastructure should be strengthened, and the engineering industry be improved to
文摘This paper uses the mediation effect and a spatial panel model using panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2019 to study the relationship between the digital economy, industrial structure, and carbon emission. The research results show that the development of digital economy can effectively promote the reduction of carbon emissions. The development of the digital economy has a significant role in promoting the rationalization of the industrial structure. The digital economy not only directly suppresses carbon emissions, but also indirectly has a significant inhibitory effect on carbon emissions by promoting the rationalization and improvement of the industrial structure. The development of the digital economy suppresses the optimization of the industrial structure. The improvement of industrialization has hindered the industrialization process. It is necessary to strengthen research and development into digital technology and enhance the capacity of the digital economy to promote carbon emissions reduction.
