Effects of high-quality neurosurgical nursing care on improving clinical nursing quality

BACKGROUND With continuous advancements in medical technology,neurosurgical nursing is constantly developing and improving to provide higher-quality nursing services.AIM To explore the effects of different types of high-quality nursing care on clinical nursing quality and patient satisfaction in neurosurgical nursing.METHODS Eighty patients who received neurosurgical treatment in the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University from June to December 2020 were selected as study participants and categorised into study and control groups.The study group comprised 40 patients who received 4 different types of high-quality nursing care,whereas the control group comprised 40 patients who received conventional nursing care.After a specific period,nursing satisfaction levels and adverse event and complication rates were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Satisfaction with high-quality care was higher than that with conventional care,and high-quality health services and regional services showed the highest satisfaction levels,with an average score of 12 on the Glasgow scale.The satisfaction levels of the study and control groups were 75%and 57%,respectively,with a statistically significant difference(t=7.314,P<0.05).During the nursing period,the adverse event and complication rates were the highest in patients with level III pathology grade and those who underwent neurosurgery(40.02%and 85.93%,respectively),and the difference was statistically significant.CONCLUSION In neurosurgical nursing,employing appropriate high-quality nursing methods can effectively reduce adverse event and complication rates in patients,thereby improving the quality of nursing care and increasing clinical nursing value. 展开更多

Impact of a High-Quality Nursing Model on Patient Outcomes in Rheumatology:A Randomized Controlled Study

Objective:To enhance the overall nursing effectiveness in the rheumatology and immunology department,explore specific strategies to improve nursing quality using a high-quality care model,and develop a comprehensive nursing system.Methods:A total of 120 hospitalized patients with rheumatoid arthritis from 2022 to January 2024 were selected.These patients were randomly divided into two groups:an observation group(60 patients)and a control group(60 patients).The control group received conventional nursing care,which included creating a good care environment,providing drug guidance,and offering psychological support.In the observation group,a high-quality nursing model was implemented with a focus on meeting the specific needs of the patients.The two groups were compared in terms of complication rates,treatment compliance,nurse-patient disputes,patient satisfaction with nursing care,sleep quality(PSQI score),and pain levels(VAS score).Results:The incidence of complications in the observation group was 3.33%,significantly lower than that of the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Nursing compliance in the observation group was 100%,and patient satisfaction was 96.67%,both higher than in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Additionally,the VAS pain score in the observation group decreased to 2.12±1.89,and the PSQI sleep quality score decreased to 6.89±0.33,both lower than in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Focusing on the needs of patients through a high-quality nursing model provides targeted care that improves overall nursing effectiveness for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.This approach enhances patient satisfaction with nursing care,increases treatment compliance,reduces the incidence of complications and nurse-patient disputes,improves sleep quality,and alleviates pain.This model holds significant value for broader applications. 展开更多

Background:According to previous studies on professional English course teaching,the evaluation of course teaching was positive,but the vast majorities focus on medical English literature reading,professional English vocabulary,and professional English translation.As an alternative,the course design based on academic learning needs under the outcome-oriented education/model emphasizes the improvement of students'comprehensive ability in oral expression,literature reading,writing,and academic communication.Objectives:The objective of this study was to analyze nursing postgraduates'opinions on learning the outcome-oriented academic English course.Methods:This is a cross-sectional descriptive study.A total of 150 first-year nursing postgraduates enrolled in the“Academic Professional English for Nursing Postgraduates”course.After completing the course learning,students scanned QR codes generated by the online questionnaire and completed it anonymously within 48 h.Results:The students who participated in this course strongly believed that it“helped them strengthen their English speakability”(4.8 points),“made them more confident to participate in international academic conferences and exchanges in the future”(4.8 points),and“helped them apply English more in the nursing professional field in the future”(4.7 points).Conclusions:The implementation of outcome-oriented course teaching helps students to understand the research of foreign scholars and effectively express their own research content with English as a tool.It motivates them to continuously use English for professional and academic communication. 展开更多

The target of talent cultivation,based on the theory of "focusing on humanism,expanding diathesis,and enhancing practice to highlight the accommodation and integration of nurses of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine",is to cultivate competent,practical and interdisciplinary senior nursing talents with strong professional basis,skilled operations,rich humanistic literacy,and sharp innovative spirit who not only master modern nursing knowledge and skills,but also can perform comprehensive nursing under the guidance of TCM theory of holistic concept and syndrome differentiation and nursing. Objective:To study the application value of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites.Methods:From February 2018 to February 2020,80 patients with cirrhotic ascites,treated in Yancheng No.1 People’s Hospital,were selected as the subjects for this study.The patients were divided into two groups based on the type of nursing intervention:a routine group and an observation group,with 40 cases in each group.The routine group received routine nursing,and the observation group received high-quality nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing.The nursing effects and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed and compared.Results:The total effective cases in the observation group were 39 cases,with a total effective rate of 97.5%;the total effective cases in the routine group were 33 cases,with a total effective rate of 82.5%.The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the routine group(P<0.05).In the routine group,there were eight cases of adverse reactions,in which the incidence of adverse reactions was 20.0%,whereas there were only two cases of adverse reactions in the observation group,in which the incidence of adverse reactions was 5.0%.The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of high-quality nursing intervention in patients with cirrhotic ascites can improve the nursing effect and reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions;thus,it should be popularized in clinical settings. 展开更多

Objective:To explore and analyze the effect of high-quality nursing on patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome.Methods:Ninety patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome treated in Huyi District People’s Hospital from October 2021 to January 2022 were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 45 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing and the experimental group received high-quality nursing.The effect of routine nursing and high-quality nursing were compared and analyzed based on the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),the degree of satisfaction with nursing care,and the patients’quality of life.Results:Before nursing,there was no significant difference in the patients’psychological state between the two groups(P>0.05);after nursing,there was significant difference in the patients’psychological state between the two groups(P<0.05);the degree of satisfaction with nursing care of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);comparing the quality of life of the two groups,the quality-of-life score of the control group was significantly lower than that of the experimental group(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with epidemic hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome,high-quality nursing can significantly and effectively improve their psychological state,level of satisfaction with nursing care,and quality of life. 展开更多

Objective:To assess the nursing curriculum and point out learning outcomes in Turkey.Methods:A cross-sectional design was used in this study.This study was conducted between May and June 2017 from 23 undergraduate nursing schools'education programs for one education and academic year's curriculum.The public information of the universities collected from their web sites and learning outcomes of the schools were classified as cognitive,psychomotor,and affective domains.Results:It appears that half of the basic nursing courses are in the psychomotor domain,and the majority of basic medical sciences courses are in the cognitive domain.Learning outcomes about the affective domain mostly take place in basic nursing courses.Conclusions:The findings of the results of this study can provide insight into current nursing education and guide new curricula to be developed. 展开更多

Methods: 50 patients with malignant tumors treated in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College from January to December in 2021 were randomly divided into 25 cases in the control group and 25 cases in the observation group. The pain control and medication compliance of the two groups were compared. 目的对护理学院本科生的中医学针灸教学内容进行改革,检验教学改革成效,为优化课程设置提供建设性资料。方法根据既往问卷调查结果修改“中医学(TCM)”针灸课程教学内容,包括减少枯燥理论知识,增加常用针灸技术及临床案例分析。组织202... 目的对护理学院本科生的中医学针灸教学内容进行改革,检验教学改革成效,为优化课程设置提供建设性资料。方法根据既往问卷调查结果修改“中医学(TCM)”针灸课程教学内容,包括减少枯燥理论知识,增加常用针灸技术及临床案例分析。组织2023年北京协和医学院护理学院所有参加中医学授课的本科生填写“针灸课程内容问卷调查表”,内容主要包括课程前学生对针灸的基本认知情况、课程中学生的学习反馈、课程后学生的学习成效及学生对进一步优化针灸课程的改进建议4个方面。结果149名学生参与问卷调查。73.15%的学生对针灸课程感兴趣。62.42%的学生认为最难理解的课程内容是“腧穴各论”部分,71.81%的同学认为最制约学习成效的因素是难以记住经络和穴位。学生最感兴趣的是“针灸治疗概述及常见病的针灸治疗”,占44.3%。通过学习,88.59%的学生愿意向具有适应症的患者推荐针灸治疗。在针灸课程的改进建议方面,学生希望增加课堂实践或操作视频。结论改革后的针灸教学课程内容,突出了课程内容的实用性,提高了学生的学习兴趣和主观能动性,但实践性仍需加强。 展开更多

目的:通过探讨后疫情时代以微课联合护生标准化病人(SSP)为支撑的混合式教学模式在精神科护理教学中的应用效果,观察该教学模式对护生学习效果、学习态度及自主学习能力的影响。方法:选取某医学院校2019级470名护理本科生作为观察组,201... 目的:通过探讨后疫情时代以微课联合护生标准化病人(SSP)为支撑的混合式教学模式在精神科护理教学中的应用效果,观察该教学模式对护生学习效果、学习态度及自主学习能力的影响。方法:选取某医学院校2019级470名护理本科生作为观察组,2018级490名护理本科生为对照组。对照组护生进行传统教学加小讲课,观察组护生开展以微课联合SSP为支撑的混合式教学。比较两组护生教学后的理论评分、实践技能评分、教学前后的护理专业学生学习态度量表及护理学专业学生自主学习能力量表评分。结果:教学后,观察组护生理论评分、实践技能评分结果均显著优于对照组,差异有统计学意义(Z=7.377、8.165,P<0.05)。教学前,两组护生学习态度量表、自主学习能力量表评分比较,差异无统计学意义(t=1.176、0.237、0.535、0.433、0.566、0.835、0.235,P>0.05)。教学后,观察组护生考核结果均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(t=20.389、21.520、21.377、22.611、26.091、17.369、23.975,P<0.05)。结论:后疫情时代以微课联合SSP为支撑的混合式教学模式在精神科护理教学中具有良好的应用效果,可显著提升护生的学习效果、学习态度及自主学习的能力。 展开更多
