Thrust generation and wake structure of wiggling hydrofoil

Marine animals and micro-machines often use wiggling motion to generate thrust. The wiggling motion can be modeled by a progressive wave where its wavelength describes the flexibility of wiggling animals. In the present study, an immersed boundary method is used to simulate the flows around the wiggling hydrofoil NACA 65-010 at low Reynolds numbers. One can find from the numerical simulations that the thrust generation is largely determined by the wavelength. The thrust coefficients decrease with the increasing wavelength while the propulsive efficiency reaches a maximum at a certain wavelength due to the viscous effects. The thrust generation is associated with two different flow patterns in the wake: the well-known reversed Karman vortex streets and the vortex dipoles. Both are jet-type flows where the thrust coefficients associated with the reversed Karman vortex streets are larger than the ones associated with the vortex diploes. 展开更多

一直以来在挖孔圆桩桩底基岩完整性检测的探地雷达数据处理时,不管是直测线还是圆周测线均是采用wiggle直剖面显示。这样处理存在圆周测线显示位置失真、不够直观、地质解释表述不方便等诸多缺点及问题。基于圆周测线的几何特性,本文提... 一直以来在挖孔圆桩桩底基岩完整性检测的探地雷达数据处理时,不管是直测线还是圆周测线均是采用wiggle直剖面显示。这样处理存在圆周测线显示位置失真、不够直观、地质解释表述不方便等诸多缺点及问题。基于圆周测线的几何特性,本文提出一种精确绘制挖孔圆桩桩底圆周测线的真实空间位置的wiggle剖面生成方法,并编写了相应的matlab程序。最后还通过渝黔高速公路扩能工程两合江特大桥实测数据,对比展示了基于本文提出的wiggle剖面生成方法与传统的圆周测线wiggle剖面生成方法的成图效果差异。该对比实验表明本文提出的wiggle剖面生成方法使得圆周测线归位到其真实的三维空间位置上,使其圆周测线wiggle剖面图显示非常直观、精确、可靠,且便于后续准确地质解释;充分展示了本文提出的wiggle剖面生成方法的可行性和优越性。 展开更多

目前椭圆形横截面桩的桩底周测线的探地雷达剖面仍然是采用直剖面2D显示,这样近似处理存在测道位置显示失真、不够直观、不便于地质解释等诸多缺点。基于椭圆形周测线的几何特性,给出一种正确绘制椭圆形横截面桩的桩底周测线的3D wiggl... 目前椭圆形横截面桩的桩底周测线的探地雷达剖面仍然是采用直剖面2D显示,这样近似处理存在测道位置显示失真、不够直观、不便于地质解释等诸多缺点。基于椭圆形周测线的几何特性,给出一种正确绘制椭圆形横截面桩的桩底周测线的3D wiggle剖面生成方法,并编写了相应的matlab程序。以现场数据为例对比成图,一方面基于matlab的figure窗口旋转功能逐道对比观察,且两图对应道的波形高度一致,故验证了本方法的正确性;另一方面由于本方法生成的椭圆周测线3D wiggge剖面将各道平衡位置正确归位到其真实的三维空间位置上,于是以3D wiggle剖面进行地质解释时,不用通过椭圆桩半径、腰线长等参数换算,便能直接快速确定异常区在桩身具体的方位,以及通过matlab的figure窗口的放缩、旋转功能还能做精细化地质解释,同时还具有较好的用户体验感,说明了本方法的优越性。 展开更多

透地雷达对水下地形测量的试验与模拟研究

由于全球温室效应的影响,雨期集中、降雨强度提高,河川或海湾水流瞬间暴增而酿成许多重大水患,因此,河道地形检测极为重要[1]。为减少人员下水检测危险,本文提出在透地雷达不接触水面的前提下进行测量。通过户外水池试验发现,天线与被... 由于全球温室效应的影响,雨期集中、降雨强度提高,河川或海湾水流瞬间暴增而酿成许多重大水患,因此,河道地形检测极为重要[1]。为减少人员下水检测危险,本文提出在透地雷达不接触水面的前提下进行测量。通过户外水池试验发现,天线与被测物之间需要有适当空气层高度避免反射讯号和直接波重迭。箱型试验发现,浊度不会造成讯号误判。Gpr Max2D计算机软件模拟发现,距离垂直边界各10m,左右边界各7 m可避免边界影响。因此在利用400和100MHz天线进行现场河川测量时,搭配wiggle图分析是可行的检测方法。 展开更多

Locust has the capacity to maintain a righting posture and glide through attitude adjustment after leaping. A prototype inspired by the dynamic mechanism of attitude adjustment of locusts was developed. The prototype consists of a pair of wings driven by a four-bar mechanism, and a 2 Degree of Freedom (DOF) tail to imitate the movement of the locust abdomen. The power source, microcontroller, wireless data transmission module, and attitude sensors are contained in the fuselage. Experiments imitating the flight of locust were conducted to determine the mechanism of locust Subsequent Attitude Adjustment (SAA). The tethered prototype was driven by the movement of the tail and the flapping of the wings. Results show that the pitch and yaw of the tail, and the asymmetric action of the flapping wings significantly influence the posture of the prototype. These findings suggest that both the wiggling abdomen and flapping wings contribute to the locust SAA in the air. This research lays the groundwork and technical support for the probable design and development of practical jumping robots with attitude adjustment function. 展开更多

The booster is moun... A physical design study of the Circular Electron-Positron Collider(CEPC) booster is reported. The booster provides 120 GeV electron and positron beams for the CEPC collider with top-up injection. The booster is mounted above the collider in the same tunnel. To save cost, the energy of the linac injector for the booster is chosen as 6 GeV, corresponding to a magnetic field of 30.7 Gs. In this paper, the booster lattice is described and optimization of the cell length is discussed. A novel scheme of bypass near the detector of the collider is designed.The extremely low magnetic field caused by low injection energy is studied, and a new ideal of wiggling bands is proposed to mitigate the low-field problem. Beam transfer and injection from the linac to the booster are considered. 展开更多
