The crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction and the following crys...The reaction of anhydrous YbCl3 with LiNPri2 in 1:3 molar ratio gave the homo- leptic lanthanide amide ate complex Yb(C6H14N)4Li(C4H8O). The crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction and the following crystallographic data were obtained: C28H64N4OYbLi, Mg = 652.82, monoclinic, P21/c (#14), a = 15.239(3), b = 21.502(6), c = 21.288(4) ? b = 93.18(2), V = 6964(2) 3, Z = 8, Dc = 1.245 g/cm3, F(000) = 2728 and m(MoKa) = 27.08 cm-1. The final R and Rw are 0.044 and 0.053 for 6765 observed reflections with I > 3.00s(I), respectively. The ytterbium atom is bonded to two terminal amide ligands with the normal YbN distances of 2.171(6) and 2.174(7) ? and two bridging amide ligands with the YbN bonds about 0.1 ?longer than those of the formers, forming a distorted tetrahedral geometry.展开更多

Single-crystal X-...A novel 3D ytterbium supramolecular compound, [Yb(HBDDC)(H20)4]·2H2O(1), was synthesized via 5,5'-(buta-diyne-1,4-diyl)diisophthalic acid ligand(HaBDDC) under solvothermal conditions. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that compound 1 crystallizes in triclinic system, PT space group with a=0.71372(14) nm, b=1.0566(2) nm, c=1.7969(4) nm, a=101.01(3)°, β=98.15(3)°, γ=99.17(3)° and V=1.2922(4) nm3. Compound 1 exhi- bits a special infinite 1D chain, which stacks parallel each other in an ABAB sequence, leading to the formation of a 3D supramolecular structure owing to the strong π-π interactions between adjacent phenyl ring groups. Moreover, compound 1 manifests excellent luminescent property.展开更多

Diffuse reflection and emission spectra have been measured in order to determine the crystal field split...Ytterbium-doped yttrium oxysulfide (Yb:Y2O2S) has been synthesized by solid-state reaction with sulfide flux. Diffuse reflection and emission spectra have been measured in order to determine the crystal field splitting of Yb^3+ ion in the YOS lattice. According to the crystal-field levels probed in the spectra, the crystal field splitting of 2F7/2 manifold of Yb^3+ ion in YOS is 709 cm^-1, which is large enough for the quasi-three-level laser operation of Yb^3+ ion. Emission peak position, width, full-width at half maximum (FWHM), and normalized intensity of Yb:YOS are fitted from its emission spectrum. For comparison, relevant data of 5.4 at.-% Yb:YAG is also provided.展开更多

To decrease...We reported a passive Q-switched diode laser pumped Yb: YAG microchip laser with an ion-implanted semi-insulating GaAs wafer. The wafer was implanted with 400-keV As+ in the concentration of 1016 ions/cm2. To decrease the non-saturable loss, we annealed the ion-implanted GaAs at 500℃ for 5 minutes and coated both sides of the ion-implanted GaAs with antireflection (AR) and high reflection (HR) films, respectively. Using GaAs wafer as an absorber and an output coupler, we obtained 52-ns pulse duration of single pulse.展开更多
