Based on the connotation of urban resilience and the main contradictions of China's urbanization,urban resilience is placed within the main daily activities contradictory scene of the urban man-land system to build a theoretical framework of urban activity resilience.Relying on geographic big data,this study identifies the spatial characteristics of activity resilience,reveals the impact of activity environment on activity resilience in Nanjing,and proposes countermeasures.The main conclusions are as follows.1)Activity resilience presents a composite spatial structure of circles and clusters,and most areas are resilient but at a low level.2)There are significantly positive and negative global autocorrelation between activity resilience and activity scale,and activity stability.Simultaneously,there also exists a local spatial autocorrelation with the opposite positive and negative trends.3)Activity environment has a significant effect on activity resilience,and the degree and direction of influence among different dimensions and regions are heterogeneous.4)For activity resilience,it is necessary to increase the matching degree between the scale and stability of activities,and reduce the excessive concentration and flow of activities.For the activity environment,it is necessary to improve the accessibility of the ecological environment,strengthen the high-quality supply of the infrastructure environment,optimize the balance of the location environment,and promote the inclusiveness of the social environment. 展开更多

This paper presents a new 3D mesoscopic model of ultra-high performance cement-based composite(UHPCC)to investigate its dynamic tensile behavior.In this model,the UHPCC is regarded as a two-phase material composed of cementitious matrix and randomly distributed fibers.The model is established using the commercial software LS-DYNA and involves generating the randomly distributed fiber elements with considerations of diameter,length,orientation and volume fraction,and then fully constraining them with the matrix.In particular,to capture the slipping effect between fibers and matrix that has a strong influence on the dynamic tensile behavior,the fibers are modelled by a fictitious material represented by the load-slip relation.The strain-rate effect of slipping force neglected in most of previous studies is considered by calibrating constitutive parameters of the fictitious material under different strain-rates based on the single fiber pullout tests.Finally,the 3D mesoscopic model is validated against three sets of tension-dominated experiments covered a wide range of loading intensity.Numerical predictions demonstrate that strain-rate effect of slipping force must be considered,and the neglect of it may lead to a great underestimation of the dynamic tensile strength of UHPCC material and would unavoidably underestimate the blast resistance of UHPCC components. 展开更多

Late spring cold(LSC) occurred in the reproductive period of wheat impairs spike and floret differentiation during the reproductive period,when young spikelets are very cold-sensitive.However,under LSC,the responses of wheat spikelets at various positions,leaves,and stems and the interactions between them at physiological levels remain unclear.In the present study,two-year treatments at terminal spikelet stage under two temperatures(2 C,-2 C) and durations(1,2,and 3 days) were imposed in an artificial climate chamber to compare the effects of LSC on grain number and yield in the wheat cultivars Yannong 19(YN19,cold-tolerant) and Xinmai 26(XM26,cold-sensitive).The night temperature regimes were designed to reproduce natural temperature variation.LSC delayed plant growth and inhibited spike and floret differentiation,leading to high yield losses in both cultivars.LSC reduced dry matter accumulation(DMA,g) in spikes,stems,and leaves,reducing the DMA ratios of the spike to leaf and spike to stem.Plant cell wall invertase(CWINV) activity increased in upper and basal spikelets in YN19,whereas CWINV increased in middle spikelets in XM26.Under LSC,soluble sugar and glucose were transported and distributed mainly in upper and basal spikelets for glume and rachis development,so that spike development was relatively complete in YN19,whereas the upper and basal spikelets were severely damaged and most of the glumes in middle spikelets were relatively completely developed in XM26,resulting in pollen abortion mainly in upper and basal spikelets.The development of glumes and rachides was influenced and grain number per spike was decreased after LSC,with kernels present mainly in middle spikelets.Overall,reduced total DMA and dry matter partitioning to spikes under LSC results in poor spikelet development,leading to high losses of grain yield. 展开更多

Spike architecture is an indicative trait of grain yield in common wheat(Triticum aestivum).A segregating population was generated for mapping genes contributing to spike morphometric traits by crossing the two common wheat cultivars'CItr 17600'with branching spikes and'Yangmai 18'with normal spikes.A major quantitative trait locus for spike length was mapped to the Q5A region of chromosome 5A.Yangmai18 carried a Q5Ab allele for short spikes,which harbored one SNP in the last intron,and a 1-bp InDel in the 720-bp fragment from the start codon,compared to Q5Aa in Chinese Spring.CItr 17600 harbored a q5Ab allele for long spikes,which has a 6-bp deletion compared to the reported q5Aa allele that was involved in the binding site of microRNA 172(miR172).This 6-bp deletion in immediately upstream of this binding site was involved in changes of four amino acids.The natural q5A allele appeared to be rare in common wheat but frequent in tetraploid T.turgidum accessions with branching spikes.The CRISPR/Cas9 technology was used to edit the upstream region involving in the miR172 binding site in Yangmai 18 and identified two independent editing events,one with a 1-bp insertion in Q5A and the other with a 2-bp deletion in Q5D,resulting in several shapes of spikes in the transgenic progeny.In addition to the effects of natural q5A allele and the edited Q5A genes,this study indicated the regeneratability and transformability of Yangmai 18 as an elite cultivar.Altogether,this study provides insight into future modification and engineering of spike architecture in common wheat. 展开更多

It has been theoretically proven that at a high threshold an approximate expression for a quantile of GEV (Generalized Extreme Values) distribution can be derived from GPD (Generalized Pareto Distribution). Afterwards, a quantile of extreme rainfall events in a certain return period is found using L-moment estimation and extreme rainfall events simulated by GPD and GEV, with all aspects of their results compared. Numerical simulations show that POT (Peaks Over Threshold)-based GPD is advantageous in its simple operation and subjected to practically no effect of the sample size of the primitive series, producing steady high-precision fittings in the whole field of values (including the high-end heavy tailed). In comparison, BM (Block Maximum)-based GEV is limited, to some extent, to the probability and quantile simulation, thereby showing that GPD is an extension of GEV, the former being of greater utility and higher significance to climate research compared to the latter. 展开更多

A composite explosive based on 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazinane(RDX)was prepared by electrostaticspray method with dioctyl sebacate(DOS)as desensitizer.After preparation,the particle size and crystal structure were characterized and chemical features,such as chemical bonds,functional groups,thermal decomposition parameters and mechanical sensitivity were investigated as well.In terms of the morphologies of the composites,the particle sizes were in the range of 1e3 mm.Compared with RDX,the crystal types,chemical bonds and functional groups of the RDX/DOS composites were unchanged.The activation energy of the composites was lower than that of raw RDX,and the 3wt%DOS composites had the lowest activation energy.The impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity of the RDX/DOS composites were lower than those of raw RDX,and the 10wt%DOS composites had the highest H50(125.9 cm)and the lowest friction sensitivity(8%). 展开更多

This paper firstly explains the principle of the eliminating noise method by the multi-dipole observation system of geoelectric field. Then based on the observation data of the multi-dipole observation system obtained by ZD9A telluric current monitors installed in Chongming and Nanjing stations, we study the abnormal variation of the geoelectric field preceding the earthquakes. The study shows that: a) Eliminating noise method of multi-dipole observation is an excellent method by which many kinds of geoelec-tric field noises can be eliminated successfully and the geoelectric precursor information can be recognized; b) The geoelectric precursor signals for the events were recorded on the NS and NE dipoles in Chongming station 42 days, 20 days and 2 days before the earthquakes respectively, in which the station is near the epicenter, and the longest time of persisting period was 9 days. The abnormal variation signals of geoelectric field observed in Nanjing sta-tion are all the noises but not the seismic electric signals, in which the station is not near the epicenter; c) Dipole distribution method of common electrode is not good in the multi-dipole observation system of the geoelectric field. 展开更多

In current guidelines, the free air blast loads(overpressure and impulse) are determined by spherical charges, although most of ordnance devices are more nearly cylindrical than spherical in geometry. This may result in a great underestimation of blast loads in the near field and lead to an unsafe design.However, there is still a lack of systematic quantitative analysis of the blast loads generated from cylindrical charges. In this study, a numerical model is developed by using the hydrocode AUTODYN to investigate the influences of aspect ratio and orientation on the free air blast loads generated from center-initiated cylindrical charges. This is done by examining the pressure contours, the peak overpressures and impulses for various aspect ratios ranged from 1 to 8 and arbitrary orientation monitored along every azimuth angle with an interval of 5°. To characterize the distribution patterns of blast loads,three regions, i.e., the axial region, the vertex region and the radial region are identified, and the propagation of blast waves in each region is analyzed in detail. The complexity of blast loads of cylindrical charges is found to result from the bridge wave and its interaction with primary waves. Several empirical formulas are presented based on curve-fitting the numerical data, including the orientation where the maximum peak overpressure emerges, the critical scaled distance beyond which the charge shape effect could be neglected and blast loads with varied aspect ratio in arbitrary orientation, all of which are useful for blast-resistant design. 展开更多

The horizontal vorticity equation used in this study was obtained using the equations of motion in the pressure coordinate system without considering friction, to reveal its relationship with vertical shear. By diagnostically analyzing each term in the horizontal vorticity equation during a squall line process that occurred on 19 June 2010, we found that the non-thermal wind term had a negative contribution to the local change of upward movement in the low-level atmosphere, and that its impact changed gradually from negative to positive with altitude, which could influence upward movement in the mid-and upper-level atmosphere greatly. The contribution of upward vertical transport to vertical movement was the largest in the low-level atmosphere, but had negative contribution to the upper-level atmosphere. These features were most evident in the development stage of the squall line. Based on analysis of convection cells along a squall line, we found that in the process of cell development diabatic heating caused the subsidence of constant potential temperature surface and non-geostrophic motion, which then triggered strong convergence of horizontal acceleration in the mid-level atmosphere and divergence of horizontal acceleration in the upper-level atmosphere. These changes of horizontal wind field could cause a counterclockwise increment of the horizontal vorticity around the warm cell, which then generated an increase of upward movement. This was the main reason why the non-thermal wind term had the largest contribution to the strengthening of upward movement in the mid-and upper-level atmosphere. The vertical transport of large value of horizontal vorticity was the key to trigger convection in this squall line process. 展开更多

In response to the demand for short-range detection of anti-smoke environment interference by laser fuzes,this study proposes a smoke environment simulation of non-uniform continuous point source diffusion and investigates an experimental laboratory smoke environment using an ammonium chloride smoke agent.The particle size distribution,composition,and mass flow distribution of the smoke were studied.Based on a discrete phase model and a kεturbulence model,a numerical simulation was developed to model the smoke generation and diffusion processes of the smoke agent in a confined space.The temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of the smoke mass concentration,velocity,and temperature in the space after smoke generation were analyzed,and the motion law governing the smoke diffusion throughout the entire space was summarized.Combined with the experimental verification of the smoke environment laboratory,the results showed that the smoke plume changed from fan-shaped to umbrella-shaped during smoke generation,and then continued to spread around.Meanwhile,the mass concentration of smoke in the space decreased from the middle outward;the changes in temperature and velocity were small and stable.In the diffusion stage(after 900 s),the mass concentration of smoke above 0.8 m was relatively uniform across an area of smoke that was 12 m thick.The concentration decreased over time,following a consistent decreasing trend,and the attenuation was negligible in a very short time.Therefore,this system was suitable for conducting experimental research on laser fuzes in a smoke environment.Owing to the stability of the equipment and facilities,the setup could reproduce the same experimental smoke environment by artificially controlling the smoke emission of the smoke agent.Overall,this work provides a theoretical reference for subsequent research efforts regarding the construction of uniform smoke environments and evaluating laser transmission characteristics in smoky environments. 展开更多

目的探讨营养补充是否能够提高运动干预对老年肌减少症患者的干预效果。方法系统检索英文数据库,包括Pubmed、Embase、Cochrane Library、Web of Science、CINAHL,以及中文数据库:中国期刊全文数据库(CNKI)、万方数据库(Wanfang)、维普... 目的探讨营养补充是否能够提高运动干预对老年肌减少症患者的干预效果。方法系统检索英文数据库,包括Pubmed、Embase、Cochrane Library、Web of Science、CINAHL,以及中文数据库:中国期刊全文数据库(CNKI)、万方数据库(Wanfang)、维普数据库(VIP)、中国生物医学数据库(CBM),建库至2016年7月19日的相关文章。采用Cochrane Handbook 5.10中的偏倚风险评估工具评价文章质量,使用Stata12.0软件进行Meta分析,对于不能合并的数据采用描述性分析。结果最终纳入6篇文章,共429例老年肌减少症患者。纳入的文章总体方法学质量等级为中等。与单纯运动干预相比,联合营养补充可进一步增加老年肌减少症患者的瘦体组织含量(5.78,95%CI:5.17~6.40,P=0.000)和肌肉含量(2.048,95%CI:0.907~3.189,P<0.001),同时增强患者的膝关节伸展度(1.08,95%CI:0.71~1.45,P<0.001)和正常步速(0.570,95%CI:0.19~0.95,P=0.003)。结论营养补充在一定程度上可提高运动干预在老年肌减少症患者肌肉组成、力量和身体活动能力方面的干预效果。但各研究间存在临床异质性,仍需开展更多严谨的大规模随机对照实验来验证营养联合运动干预的积极作用。 展开更多

From May to August 2008, a large "green tide", consisting of the alga Ulva (Enteromorpha) prolifera, occurred in the Yellow Sea, China, affecting the local marine ecosystem and human activities. We investigated the influence of the green tide on the microbial community in the surface seawater, at four sites from July to August 2008, using bacterial 16S rRNA gene clone libraries. We sequenced 228 clones of unique patterns identified by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) techniques. The results show that 228 sequenced clones fell into six bacterial phyla:Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Cyanobacteria, Verrucomicrobia, Actinobacteria, and Planctomycetes. Alphaproteobacteria (33%), Gammaproteobacteria (25%), Bacteroidetes (23%) and Cyanobacteria (9%) dominated the assemblage. Comparison between samples collected in July (during the tide) and those collected in August (after the tide) showed that, in the microbial community, diversities of Alphaproteobacteria and Cyanobacteria increased after the tide, while those of Gammaproteobacteria and Bacteroidetes decreased. These results indicate that the green tide influenced the growth of some bacteria, and provide information for further studies on the interactions and relationships between U. prolifera and the bacterial community. This study suggests that microbial community analysis is a good approach to monitoring green tides. 展开更多

The scientific analyses of the spatial patterns of regional eco-environment livability,along with the explorations of the correlations between ecoenvironments and population and economic activity distributions,are of major significance in the guidance of the coordinated development between social economies,natural resources,and environments.In this study,the topography,climate,hydrology,land cover,air quality,and the dangers presented by natural hazards in the study area were investigated in order to establish an evaluation model for the regional eco-environmental livability.Then,the observed spatial patterns and regional differences in the eco-environmental livability,as well as their relationships with the distributions of population and economic activities in Zhejiang Province,were investigated.The results showed that the ecoenvironmental livability in Zhejiang Province displayed a gradual decreasing trend from southwest to northeast,as well as from the mountains to the hills,valleys,and plains areas.During the compartmentalization of the eco-environmental livability,it was observed that the lowest livable area covered the largest population,accounting for approximately 29.64%of the total population in the study area.The higher livable areas covered the widest land areas,accounting for approximately 26.15%of the total area.Moreover,it was found that the eco-environmental livability in the mountain areas was higher than that in the plain areas in Zhejiang Province.Furthermore,the ecoenvironmental livability was found to have a significant exponential relationship with the population and GDP densities of Zhejiang Province,with the R^2 of the curve-fittings reaching 0.835 and 0.656,respectively.However,it was determined that the coefficient of the exponential function was negative,which indicated that a strong negative relationship existed between the eco-environmental livability and densities of the population and economic activities.It was assumed that the impacts of anthropogenic factors were the fundamental causes of this negative correlation.This study introduced two new factors(air quality and natural hazards)into the evaluation framework of eco-environmental livability.As a result,a more comprehensive model was established for the evaluation of eco-environmenta livability in certain segments of the study area Additionally,the correlation between ecoenvironment livability and human activities was discussed in-depth,which can potentially provide theoretical and practical guidance for the implementation of eco-livability in China,and possibly even those of other vast developing countries. 展开更多

In the context of global warming,apparent decdal-interdecdal variabilities can be detected in summer precipitation in southern China.Especially around the 1990 s,precipitation in South China experienced a phase transition from a deficiency regime to an abundance regime in the early 1990 s,while the Yangtze River Valley witnessed a phase shift of summer precipitation from abundance to deficiency in the late 1990 s.Pertinent analyses reveal a close relationship between such decadal precipitation shifts and moisture budgets,which is mainly modulated by the meridional component.This relationship can be attributed to large-scale moisture transport anomalies.Further,the HYSPLIT model is utilized to quantitatively evaluate relative moisture contributions from diverse sources during different regimes.It can be found that during the period with abundant precipitation in South China,the moisture contribution from the source of Indochina Peninsula-South China Sea increased significantly,while during the deficient precipitation regime in the Yangtze River Valley,moisture from local source,western Pacific and Indochina Peninsula-South China Sea contributed less to precipitation.It means some new features of relative moisture contributions from diverse sources to precipitation anomaly in southern China took shape after 1990 s. 展开更多

Wireless Body Area Networks(WBANs)comprise various sensors to monitor and collect various vital signals,such as blood pressure,pulse,heartbeat,body temperature,and blood sugar.A dense and mobile WBAN often suffers from interference,which causes serious problems,such as wasting energy and degrading throughput.In reality,not all of the sensors in WBAN need to be active at the same time.Therefore,they can be divided into different groups so that each group works in turn to avoid interference.In this paper,a Nest-Based WBAN Scheduling(NBWS)algorithm is proposed to cluster sensors of the same types in a single or multiple WBANs into different groups to avoid interference.Particularly,we borrow the graph coloring theory to schedule all groups to work using a Time Division for Multimodal Sensor(TDMS)group scheduling model.Both theoretical analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed NBWS algorithm performs better in terms of frequency of collisions,transmission delay,system throughput,and energy consumption compared to the counterpart methods. 展开更多

Wet Oxidation Pretreatment of Poplar Waste for Enhancing Enzymatic Hydrolysis Efficiency 被引量:3

In this paper, we described the optimization of the wet oxidation pretreatment conditions to enhance enzymatic hydrolysis efficiency, using poplar waste from the stock section of a paper mill as the raw material. We showed that the optimal conditions of the pretreatment for poplar waste were an initial p H value of 10, a temperature of 195℃, a holding time of 15 min, and an oxygen pressure of 1.2 MPa. In this case, the yield of the obtained solid material produced by the process was 51.7% and the reducing sugar yield was 46.8%. The solid part obtained from the pretreatment process was hydrolyzed by cellulase L-10. The optimal enzymatic conditions were a temperature of 49℃, a duration time of 56 h, an enzyme dosage of 38 FPU/g at a p H value of 4.8, and a solid-to-liquor ratio of 1∶50. The resulting cellulose conversion rate reached 96.4% in terms of the pretreated substances. In addition, a chemical composition analysis of the poplar waste and pretreated material indicated that about 92% of the hemicelluloses and 43% of the lignin in the raw material were degraded and dissolved. In addition, the crystallization decreased from 57.5% to 54.8%. An obvious fibrillation of the fiber pretreated by the wet oxidization process was observed by SEM. Moreover, high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) results showed a high xylose content and monosaccharide degradation products in the pretreatment solution. In conclusion, the wet oxidation pretreatment process could efficiently degrade or remove the lignin and hemicellulose, as well as reduce the crystallinity of the lignocellulosic material, which resulted in animprovement of the enzymatic ability and an increase in the cellulose conversion rate. 展开更多

This paper describes the development of a T-year design tide hydrograph (DTH). A core innovation is that the proposed technique uses the design risk threshold and copula-based conditional risk probability to analyze the optimal combination of high waters and low waters of the DTH. A brief description of the method is presented. The in situ semi-diurnal tide data at the coast of Jiangsu Province in China are analyzed. Marginal distributions for high waters and low waters of tides are examined. Furthermore, the joint distributions, condition risk probabilities and risk thresholds of high waters and low waters are presented. Results of the DTH from the proposed method are compared with those from the traditional same-multiple enlarging design approach. It is demonstrated that the proposed method is preferable. 展开更多
