In order to calibrate electrical instruments and generate a constant magnetic field, a novel design method for square Helmholtz coil is proposed. According to the superposition principle in electromagnetics, the theory of the square Helmholtz coil is established, and the design method is verified by Matlab calculation. Compared with conventional circular Helmholtz coil, the novel square one is with a larger uniform region. Simulation work is conducted in Maxwell, and the distribution of the magnetic field is obtained. The results demonstrate the validation of the applied calculation method of the proposed Helmholtz model. The space utilization rate η is used to make a comparison between the square and circular coils for the uniform region. The square Helmholtz coil is fabricated, the length of a single square coil is 1.5 m, and the amplitude of the magnetic field is controlled by the current. The GSM-19 T proton magnetometer is used to measure the amplitude of the magnetic field generated by the square Helmholtz coil. Experimental results indicate that a wide-range variable uniform magnetic field from 0 to 120 μT is generated in the center of Helmholtz coils. 展开更多

Heavy-load transfer robots are widely used in automobile production and machinery manufacturing to improve production efficiency.In order to meet the needs of large billet transfer,a 4-DOF transfer robot is designed in this paper,which consists of parallel four-bar mechanisms.The Jacobian matrix referring to the mapping matrix from the joint velocity to the operating space velocity of the transfer robot can be solved by the differential-vector method.The mean value of the Jacobian matrix condition number in the workspace is used as the global performance index of the robot velocity and the optimization goal.The constraint condition is established based on the actual working condition.Then the linkage length optimization is carried out to decrease the length of the linkage and to increase the global performance index of velocity.The total length of robot rods is reduced by 6.12%.The global performance index of velocity is improved by 45.15%.Taking the optimized rod length as the mechanism parameter,the distribution of the motion space of the transfer robot is obtained.Finally,the results show that the proposed method for establishing the Jacobian matrix of the lower-mobility robot and for the optimization of the rods based on the velocity global performance index is accurate and effective.The workspace distribution of the robot meets the design requirements. 展开更多

To reduce output voltage noise and improve dynamic response performance,this study designed a buck converter on the basis of secondary filters and adaptive voltage positioning(AVP).A hybrid control method was proposed for the compensation of the secondary filter.The introduction of a high-frequency feedback path,in addition to the traditional feedback path,effectively improved the influence of the secondary filter on the loop stability and direct current regulation performance.A small-signal model of the buck converter based on the proposed control method was derived,and the stability and selection of control parameters were analyzed.AVP is realized using an easy-to-implement and low-cost control method that was proposed to improve dynamic response performance by changing the low-frequency gain of the control loop and load regulation of the output voltage.The experimental results of the buck converter showed that the proposed method effectively reduced the output voltage noise by 50%and improved the dynamic response capability to meet the target requirements of mainstream electronic systems. 展开更多

The hysteresis control combined with PWM control non-inverting buck-boost was proposed to improve the light load efficiency and power density.The constant inductor current control(CICC)was established to mitigate the dependence on the external components and device variation and make smooth transition between hysteresis control loop and pulse width modulation(PWM)control loop.The small signal model was deduced for the buck and boost operation mode.The inductor current slope control(ICSC)was proposed to implement the automatic mode transition between buck and boost mode in one switching cycle.The results show that the converter prototype has good dynamic response capability,achieving 94%efficiency and 95%peak efficiency at full 10 A load current. 展开更多
