In this paper, current developments and tendencies in the field of TCM international standardization were discussed:(1) Standardization on TCM nomenclature is the fundamental work which can assist to establish a un...In this paper, current developments and tendencies in the field of TCM international standardization were discussed:(1) Standardization on TCM nomenclature is the fundamental work which can assist to establish a unified platform thus various stakeholders can gather data and exchange meaningful information globally.(2) The trend of tele-medical services and big-data health care require a standardized system of TCM informatics and efforts of WHO in the field of classification and information deserve sufficient consideration.(3) International standards can assist to eliminate large disparities in levels of regulation between countries which have serious implications for the performance, distribution and use of Chinese medicines.(4) The case of the Eastern-Central Europe indicates that international standards on education and training positively support the reputation of TCM and safeguard the communities where it is used in.(5) Many international organizations are making very important contributions for TCM and related TCM systems. These international standards help to harmonize requirements thus removing barriers to trade, define acceptable performance and provide a resource for countries and others to use.展开更多
Refractory infertility is a relatively intractable issue regarding its treatment at present.In recent years,acupuncture-moxibustion therapy participate increasingly in treatment of refractory infertility and has achie...Refractory infertility is a relatively intractable issue regarding its treatment at present.In recent years,acupuncture-moxibustion therapy participate increasingly in treatment of refractory infertility and has achieved a certain therapeutic effect.It is discovered that acupuncture-moxibustion effectively improves ovarian function,promotes ovulation and improves ovum quality and endomentrial receptivity.Hence,this therapy has been widely applied to the treatment of infertility induced by primary ovarian insufficiency(POI),polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS),endometriosis(EM),intrauterine adhesion(IUA),etc..In the paper,the research status of this disease treated with acupuncture-moxibustion is reviewed.It is anticipated to determine the direction and lay the foundation for further research.展开更多
Objective:This trial is aimed at evaluating the efficacy and safety of acupuncture on treating FC.Methods:We describe the protocol for a randomized,patient-assessor-blinded,sham controlled trial.Seventy-two eligible p...Objective:This trial is aimed at evaluating the efficacy and safety of acupuncture on treating FC.Methods:We describe the protocol for a randomized,patient-assessor-blinded,sham controlled trial.Seventy-two eligible patients will be randomly assigned to the intervention group(acupuncture)or the control group(sham acupuncture).All treatment will be given 26 sessions of acupuncture or sham acupuncture over 8 weeks(5 times per week in the first 2 weeks,3 times per week during weeks 3-6,and 2 times per week during weeks 7 and 8).Each treatment will last for 20 min.The primary outcome is the change in mean complete spontaneous bowel movements(CSBMs)per week.The secondary out?comes are patient assessment of constipation quality of life questionnaire(PAC-QOL),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),and the dosage of the medication.All adverse events will be recorded in detail and managed by corresponding researchers as quickly as possible.Outcomes will be evaluated at baseline(1 week before treatment),2 weeks after intervention begins,6 weeks after intervention begins,8 weeks after intervention begins,4 weeks follow-up,and 12 weeks follow-up.Discussion:The results of this study will provide the evidence of the efficacy and safety of acupuncture as a traditional treatment methods for functional constipation.Trial registration:Chinese Clinical Trial Registry,ChiCTR-INR-17011472.Registered on 23 May 2017.展开更多
