To helpreaders understand the situation surrounding these “throats”?for oil transportation, this article gives a briefintroduction to and analysis of the seven most importantoil transportation channels in the world-the Mandeb Straits,Hormuz Straits, and the Bosporus Straits, and the PanamaCanal /oil pipeline that crosses Panama, the Suez Canal/Shamede Oil Pipeline, the Straits of Malacca and Russianoil and gas export harbors and pipelines.
