Effects of Drought Stress on Morphological and Physiological Indices of New Coix Varieties in Yunnan 被引量:4

In order to study the effects of drought stress on the morphological and physiological indexes of Yunnan Coix at different growth stages, two new varieties of Yunnan Coix Wenyi 4 and Wenyi 5 were used as experimental materials, potted and compared with CK by normal irrigation. Morphological indices such as plant height, stem diameter and physiological indices such as protein, soluble sugar, chlorophyll content and relative conductivity (REC) of the two varieties under drought stress at seedling stage, tillering stage and jointing stage were determined, and data statistics and variance analysis were performed for each index. The results showed that the morphological indices, plant height of Wenyi 4 and Wenyi 5 were significantly affected by drought stress at seedling stage, while the stem diameter was significantly affected by drought stress at seedling and jointing stage. In terms of physiological indices, the relative conductivity, protein and soluble sugar contents of Wenyi 5 increased at a higher degree, whereas chlorophyll content decreased at a higher degree, indicating that Wenyi 5 was greatly affected by drought stress. Through the analysis of drought resistance of the tested materials at different stages by polar ordination method, the results were as follows: jointing stage of Wenyi 5>jointing stage of Wenyi 4>seedling stage of Wenyi 4>seedling stage of Wenyi 5>tillering Stage of Wenyi 4>Tillering Stage of Wenyi 5. For the growth period, the drought resistance was as follows: jointing stage>seedling stage>tillering stage. In conclusion, Wenyi 4 has strong drought resistance and is suitable for droughtresistant cultivation. 展开更多

Rapeseed,the largest oil crop in China,is a boron-loving plant.Boron has an important influence on the growth and development of rapeseed.In this study,four different boron-efficient Brassica napus varieties were used as the material to analyze the structure and sequence of BnNIP7;1 gene,aiming to provide a basis for studying the role of BnNIP7;1 in the absorption and transport of boric acid in rapeseed.The results showed that BnNIP7;1 exists in multiple copies of the Brassica napus genome,consisting of five exons and four introns.There are base insertions,base deletions and more base substitutions in introns.However,there is no base insertion or base deletion in the exon,only a small number of base substitution mutations are present,bringing about three amino acid changes in the encoded protein of BnNIP7;1-ZS9b in Zhongshuang 9.The BnNIP7;1-HY7b of Huayou 7 has an ochre mutation that will lead to a protein of only 47 amino acids,thus losing its function.Bioinformatics indicates that BnNIP7;1 protein is a membrane protein with six transmembrane regions,indicating that it is involved in the absorption and transport of boric acid. 展开更多

[Method] A B. juncea TGMS line K121S was ... [Objective] This study was performed to screen functional genes related to the fertility conversion of thermo-sensitive genic male sterile (TGMS) lines of Brassica juncea L. [Method] A B. juncea TGMS line K121S was selected as the experimental material. The total RNAs were isolated from fertile and sterile pollens at different development stages, including mother cell stage, tetrad stage, tricellular pollen stage and maturity stage. DDRT-PCR was carried out to identify differentially expressed genes. [Result] A total of 44 differentially expressed cDNA fragments were identified with Dot blot. And seven candidate genes related to fertility conversion of K121S were screened out by BLASTN, including callose synthase gene, aldehyde dehydrogenase gene and RNA polymerase I transcription factor RRN3 gene which were differentially expressed at the transcriptional level, H'-ATPase gene, fructose diphosphate aldolase -class I gene, teucine-rich repeat receptor-Jike serine/threonine- protein kinase gene and alkaline/neutral invertase gene, which were differentially expressed at the post-transcriptional level. [Conclusion] The results of this study will help to explain the molecular mechanism of thermo-sensitive genic male sterility of B. juncea. 展开更多
