World Geography is a comprehensive course, which mainly introduces the basic concept, distribution pattern, development law and influencing factors of world geography. This course helps students to understand the geographical profiles of countries in the world, and provides a theoretical basis for students to analyze and solve international geographical problems. With the “Belt and Road” initiative of our country, the reform of world geography teaching is imperative. Under the background of internationalization of higher education, the teaching of World Geography in colleges and universities should constantly optimize the course content and teaching methods, and constantly improve students’ ability to analyze and solve international geography problems in practice. On the basis of explaining the status and significance of the World Geography course in universities, this paper analyzes the existing problems in the teaching of World Geography course in universities. According to the existing problems, this paper puts forward the reform strategies and measures of world geography teaching from two aspects of optimizing the course content and teaching methods.展开更多
