A facile encryption way was successfully applied to the holographic optical encryption system with high speed,multidimensionality,and high capacity,which provided a better security solution for underwater communicatio...A facile encryption way was successfully applied to the holographic optical encryption system with high speed,multidimensionality,and high capacity,which provided a better security solution for underwater communication.The reconstructed optical security system for information transmission was based on wavelengthλand focal length f that were keys to encryption and decryption.To finish the secure data transmission(λ,f)between sender and receiver,an extended Rivest-Shamir-Adleman(ERSA)algorithm for the encryption was achieved based on three-dimension quaternion function.Therein,the Pollard’s rho method was used for the evaluation and comparison of RSA and ERSA algorithms.The results demonstrate that the message encrypted by the ERSA algorithm has better security than that by RSA algorithm in the face of unpredictability and complexity of information transmission on the unsecure acoustic channel.展开更多
For conventional optical polarization imaging of underwater target,the polarization degree of backscatter should be pre-measured by averaging the pixel intensities in the no target region of the polarization images,an...For conventional optical polarization imaging of underwater target,the polarization degree of backscatter should be pre-measured by averaging the pixel intensities in the no target region of the polarization images,and the polarization property of the target is assumed to be completely depolarized.When the scattering background is unseen in the field of view or the target is polarized,conventional method is helpless in detecting the target.An improvement is to use lots of co-polarization and cross polarization detection components.We propose a polarization subtraction method to estimate depolarization property of the scattering noise and target signal.And experiment in a quartz cuvette container is performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.The results show that the proposed method can work without scattering background reference,and further recover the target along with smooth surface for polarization preserving response.This study promotes the development of optical polarization imaging systems in underwater environments.展开更多
According to dynamics of coupled galvanic anode with carbon steel,the integral of galvanic current vs.time is approximately equal to actual current capacity of galvanic anode.Galvanic current of cast aluminum galvanic...According to dynamics of coupled galvanic anode with carbon steel,the integral of galvanic current vs.time is approximately equal to actual current capacity of galvanic anode.Galvanic current of cast aluminum galvanic anode coupled with carbon steel is tested in3.5%NaCl solution and ambient temperature.Rapid evaluation the performance of galvanic anode using galvanic current is feasible,and the test time is20min.The galvanic current is used to select aluminum galvanic anodes in oil brine,and then test the galvanic anodes with impressed current test method.The result shows,the performance of galvanic anodes degrads in oil brine,but has not much difference in the two media to the preferable anodes,and the optimal galvanic anode is gained.展开更多
The optical properties of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots(QDs)embedded in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)flexible materials after irradiated withγ-rays were studied.As an embedding matrix,PDMS exhibits the advantage of high radiati...The optical properties of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots(QDs)embedded in polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)flexible materials after irradiated withγ-rays were studied.As an embedding matrix,PDMS exhibits the advantage of high radiation hardness.The luminescence spectra and fluorescence lifetime of the irradiated and unirradiated samples were tested.The fluorescence intensity of QDs decreases with the increase of the irradiation dose according to the result of luminescence spectra.The fluorescence intensity of the QDs decreases by 80%after irradiation with a dose of 1 kGy,but the position of the emission peak and the spectral shape of the QDs remain consistent before and after irradiation.In addition,the fluorescence lifetime of QDs is shortened after irradiation.Based on the fluorescence response of QDs to the irradiation ofγ-rays and combined with flexible materials,our work provides a theoretical basis for the application of QDs as a new wearable dosimeter.展开更多
