His complicated social relations and life experiences can shed some new lights on several significantly historical and social facets in the Northern Song Dynasty. The Jiang Xiang Xiang (Village of Generals and Prime Ministers) mentioned in the inscriptions was named after Xia Luqi who was born in this village at Qingzhou and later was appointed as a general and minister of the Song Dynasty. The content of inscriptions was written by a famous Confucian, Zhao Shimin, but not recorded in the Quan Song Wen. Thus this epitaph is one valuable piece of historical document.展开更多
