Since 198Os a great number of theoretical and empirical studies have claimed that autonomous learners must be successful foreign language learners.Consequently how to promote learner autonomy becomes a focal point of foreign language teaching.By taking an action research approach,this study identifies existing autonomous problems of the subjects and demonstrates some autonomous activities to solve these problems.Data collected through questionnaires,class observation and interviews show that students can become more autonomous in English learning only if the teacher may encourage them and create conditions for them to practice their autonomous skills. 展开更多
